We visited on January 1st 2024 and allowed only 2 1/2 hours. This was the best zoo I ever visited. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We had two small children with us and there was much for them to do and they never got bored. There were many animals to look at and in some cases you were able to get very close. Some animals I had never seen at other zoos. I suggest taking at least five hours for your visit. Overall a very pleasant experience. I recommend this zoo to people of all ages.

Located inside a forest and therefore providing plenty of cover during rainy days, this zoo has a somewhat slimmer collection of animals compared to other zoo's of this size but makes up for it on playgrounds and a dinosaur garden. Fast food and refreshments are available to buy inside the park. Recommended if you are visiting or live in Amersfoort.

Something they could definitely work on are lockers. They have no place to store any stuff, especially for motorcyclist a bummer, since you need to drag your gear through the whole Zoo. They could easily charge me €4,- for a locker and I would get two just for the gear I otherwise need to carry. Zoo was mostly focused on kids in my opinion, which is a bummer.

There are quite a few zoos in the Netherlands but this is a true gem for kids. They can take their own route, climb, crawl, see more than their parents. They will see sloths 30cm away without fences or glass in between. Have kids? Go here.

Very good zoo! Good location, friendly design also for the kids. We really enjoyed the visit. The animals are so wonderful and we could really observe them. Kids have extra playgrounds and can spend their time there. Also there is a small train attraction where kids can view the zoo and have fun. Zoo is very clean and well maintained. Parking however is quite expensive 9.5€ for a day.

A fun and amazing zoo. Even with all the Covid19 restrictions, they made a great inovation so you can still see many of the animals. There's even ways you can get really close to them and some even roam free. Definitely a great park to spend with a love one, family or friends. The only thing they are lacking is the ammount of aquatic animals.

I love this zoo, it is really nicely located within a forest. There are a lot of animals to check out. There's a small elephant, which is really cute. It still plays a lot and the guide can tell you so much about it. It is nice to see the guides are really commited to the park. The food is okay. But you don't go to a zoo for food, so that's fine. There are a couple of playgrounds for the kids. They are continuously trying to update the park and the animal habitats, which I think is a good thing. Enjoy a day out here!

Beautiful zoo, there's not many animals but nonetheless its beautiful. It is so much fun to visit with your kids, there's lot for play ground and small parks for children with lots of different stuff to play.

So much to do for the little ones, my son who is almost 3 had a great time on the carousel, little train, playgrounds, digging for Dinosaur fossils and running through tunnels.

Nicely designed park with beautiful enclosures and large thick windows that allow you to really get up close with the animals.

The park is good, but I felt like there's not much space for all the animals. The infrastructure seems to suffer from the pandemic times, with some gardens missing some due pruning. Overall a wonderful place to take your kids. Ah, it's also a bit too expensive, but manageable.

What a place. It is fantastic half a day (at least) attraction for your familly. Compared to traditional zoo, these one is more animal friendly, larger cages area, and creative ways to feel as part od the wild. At the top corner, there is a dinosaurus section (unfortunatelly now closed for renovation). It also has pleny of playgrounds for kids, so it is perfect weeekend visit. For me, the price was a bit high (26eur per person - or ~100eur for whole familly) but that is because I am a tourist, and not a Dutch....

It was pouring rain the whole day. Despite that we had a lot of fun with 6 toddlers and 4 adults. Parking is close enough, expensive though. Good variety of animals and playgrounds for kids. Dino part is nice and extra. Downside: only smoking areas in the while park. Some stuff (like train) wasn't included in the entry price, the ride itself was mediocre for the extra cost. Waiting time at the restaurant was a bit long, there seems to be shortage of staff. Overall would recommend.

We had a great time,lots of wows and ahhs. My son loves animals and it was a great birthday gift to him. Friendly and helpful staffs and the maps helped us navigate through. We sadly couldn't stay as long as we would have loved to,it was quite cold. 😊😊😊

It’s a fun place for kids with many playgrounds and dino park. Majority of zoo is covered with above 2 areas and very few animals. So, plan to visit only for kids.

Amazing experienced. My kid actually enjoyed alot (which was whole-sole motto of this trip) and so did me and my wife! The best part was the play-zone for kids every after some distance.

Best Zoo in the Netherlands for kids. Interactive, nice playgrounds. Also integrated in the zoo. Like the roaring slide at the lions kingdom or the firepole at the prairy dogs. Also the water bikes are a major succes.

Nice zoo, enough animals to discover and the dino park is a nice touch, however some enclosures seem a bit small and most of the restaurants and food/drink stands were closed, maybe they're only open in the weekends and holidays but I'm not sure

Overall great experience. My 2 year old liked the animals and we did, too. A lot of animals, playgrounds and pkenty of pleasant places to stay. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy themselves. Maybe a small improvement point would be to make bathrooms at the entrance of the park larger, especially for little kids like mine to be able to go in with either parent.

Lovely park. I don't recommend eating at the restaurant next to the playground, but there are other good options. Due to the smaller size of the park, the kids can have a good run. The Dino forest is a favorite with most kids.

One of the prettiest and most animal friendly Zoo I’ve ever visited. I love so much how the zoo organized animals home. feels really cozy and relaxing for them. I didn’t expect this beautiful zoo at first.

A really nice park, nice to walk through and there is enough to see and do to fill an afternoon. Food is fairly priced and employees are very nice and helpful.

Ein sehr schöner Tierpark mit Charme..Es gibt auch in jedem Tierhaus oder auch in den kleinen Durchgängen Tiere die man sehen kann. Also schön darauf achten...Ein Dinopark ist auch schön angelegt...

I usually am not keen on zoos, as animals should be in the wild, but this zoo is fantastic. Animals are bred there,then moved to larger zoos when they are bigger, so that they do not become extinct. You can easily spend a whole day here, lots of happy animals and play areas. All the staff we spoke to were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. I cannot recommend this zoo enough. Thinking about getting a season ticket, it really was that good.

A lot of animals were out of their enclosures, but they seem happy! An enjoyable trip to the zoo, lots of stuff for kids as well
