Racism corner. Shocked and disgusted to see this kind of racism still exists in the modern world. A zoo that little kids visit and learn. What a shame! Edit: As for you reply, sure it exists in small parts of Asian culture. But just to compare for instance, Sardinia has a maggot cheese. But you would never make a Italian food corner and only put maggots in it. Show this corner to any Asian people, and ask their opinions. Don’t be so ignorant.

Great place to spend the day looking at small animals & reptiles in beautiful rain forest type nature. Also a playground, Cafe, & gift shop all for $5.00 entry fee.

Surprisingly good 'mini zoo'. Not that many creatures to see but there are many interesting plants and other small attractions here and there. Place is split up between region, and having travelled most of then myself, it really does transport you there.. Pretty cool.

A small but nice zoo for those on a budget. Very lovingly managed with friendly staff. The entrance fee is ridiculously low compared to other attractions, you really get a good few hours for the money. Prices for food, drinks, ice cream and sweets are also affordable. We had a lovely day there, our children really enjoyed it.

Haven’t been there for 2 years, changed a lot, in good ways. Just had our daughter’s birthday party here. Was lovely. Proper instructions, and kids are able to touch the animals. The slagroom cake is tasty.

Very nice place for kids and their parents. A lot of animals: llamas, tortoises, guinea pigs etc. The territory is big enough to have several zones, but doable to walk with toddler. We loved it very much, totally recommend for a family activity

I initially went there with a friend because we were told they had some nice exotic animals, which is not something that I normally gravitate towards but I still decided to go with my friend. But damn the collection of exotic plants they had was fantastic! Flowering Monstera Deliciosas, huge cacti, orchids, begonias, hoyas, succulents and much much more! If you are into plants, please go have a look! Tickets were fairly cheap, not the best customer service to be honest but I still think it is worth a visit 👌

(Translated by Google) Nice little animal park! Having a nice afternoon for little money is fine here! Never too busy either. Animals also look well cared for. Friendly employees and a snack or drink afterwards is also possible. (Original) Leuke kleine dierenparkje! Voor weinig geld een leuke middag hebben kan hier prima! Ook nooit te druk. Dieren zien er ook goed verzorgd uit. Vriendelijke medewerkers en even een hapje of drankje achteraf is ook mogelijk.

Really nice place for the whole family. Its a miniture zoo with lots of smaller animals amoung which alpacas, chickens, racoons, meercats, turtles, exotic fish, exotic birds, giant rabbits, owls, purcupines and more. You can buy food to feed the animals which I recommend as it makes it a bit more interactive. There is a lot of information about the animals and where they come from. All animals also have cute and funny names. The ambience is really cool. Its all set up as a jungle and savanna etc depending on where you are in the zoo. There are many tropical plants too and everything is labeled so you can learn about them. They even have giant lilipads and a huge aloe vera plant (bigger than me). There is also a cafe inside and outside with play areas for children. There is an assortment of cakes and sandwiches available in the cafe as well as ice cream, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The entry fee is €6 which includes a donation to the zoo. I recommend this option as its a contribution to expand the place and support the animals which has happened greatly over the past few years. Every time I visit there is something new to see and experience. Almere Jungle is run by lots of people with disabilities and their coaches which I think is great as it gives these people work oppertunities and they can be creative. Ive heard many good things about it. Should you be interested in dagbesteding (children and adults) you can contact them (see photos). Its located at Landgoed de Kemphaan which in itself is a amazing day out trip if you are a lover of nature, animals, hiking and strolling.

The most toddler-friendly zoo we have visited. We spent a very pleasant few hours there on a rainy, winter day. The project is a sustainable effort for the good of everyone - the animals, the disabled people, the children and their parents. Wish there were more such initiatives in the modern cities.

Nice little care zoo that still relies on a large proportion of hand-me-downs. Fun and safe for young children (max 6 years I think) minimum entrance fee. Food and drinks also reasonably priced, so a wonderful place to spend an hour with your grandchildren (perhaps we could collaborate and exchange with the orchiedeeenhoeve so that both have a greater range of animals and plants. The adjacent city farm and the Pancake House De Kemphaan

A perfect little zoo for toddlers till probably 6 years old. With dry weather there's a nice playground and outside space. Inside there are thoughtful details, like a dinosaur, animal bones, a South American temple and interactive little elements like a bubble machine with the piranhas.

As the name suggests its a cute little jungle with few animals within enclosure and some outside. Easily kids love to spend time and enjoy with family and friends. Well maintained and easily accessible. A bike ride to almere jungle is great fun.

In general it was very nice there. You can see on site that motivated employees are and were at work. The animals on display were in a good mood that day. On-site prices are justified and more affordable than similar establishments.

Loved to visit Almere Jungle with my daughter. It wasn't too busy, really enjoyed having several benches along the way just to relax while watching the animals. Being able to buy food to feed some animals is really nice and having the bouncer for kids was a huge plus. Really easy to get there and with enough parking space nearby.

First of all. The zoo is very small. However, many animals can be admired and appear well cared for. A big plus point is that dogs are allowed entry. Attention: No German EC cards and Visa cards are accepted! It's better to buy the tickets online.

Nice mini animal park with cafe and children play area. Need bit of maintenance as some places the water wasn’t clean. Going by private car is recommended. If you are going by bus then the nearest bus stop is 2.4 km away.

One of the best Zoos I visited. Zoo+Botanical Garden gives you the feeling that you are in exactly the part of the World where animals are coming from! The atmosphere is amazing! Not a lot of people so you can in peace enjoy every moment.

Love the creative (natural) setting and perfect climate inside. No need for coats during cold seasons. Kids can actually enjoy being kids and feed their curiosity in an educational environment. It brings out the kid in anyone!

It's a very small zoo with very few animals. But there is a large collection of plants within the area. Though it is small, it is well and neatly maintained. You can spend an hour or two here. You can buy the feed for the birds, tortoise and fish at the entrance and the kids will enjoy feeding the little animals. Worth visiting once.

Nice place to visit. They really expanded it in the last few years. Main reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the route is unclear. No signs to the exit.

  • 3/5 Lola L. 1 year ago on Google
Wasn't too busy on a sunny Saturday, but was very, very hot inside. Pre-booked tickets with a slot online. The place is quite small, I was with 2 kids and I think we took around an hour-hour and half to see everything. It was nice to be able to feed the fish and turtles. Not a 5 star because honestly, it was just a little smaller than I expected and I wasn't too pleased with paying a full entry for a 2y old when most places let them in for free. That being said, it's not a bad place at all and kids had fun. We probably spent same amount of time outside in the cafe (sandpit!) as we did in the zoo ;).

  • 5/5 Cong H. 1 year ago on Google
Really nice place to visit with family. My 2 year old daughter is very happy today. The park is not big, my daughter is quite small, we stayed for an hour. There is a cafe to rest as well. If you want to take public transportation, there is a bus from Almere Center, but it's only available every 2 hrs, so need to count the time really well. Buy e-ticket is 1 euro cheaper, but need to choose a time slot, we just bought the ticket when we arrive there. Veel plezier!

  • 5/5 Cedric 4 years ago on Google
the cafe has a decent amount of snacks and drinks. The area with animals has a 5,- p.p entry fee (used to help the animals and maintain the jungle I assume) is totally worth it because you get to see animals up close while walking through a well designed jungle-like environment. Nice experience for an afternoon activity :)

Very enjoyable day at the almere jungle, especially for the children they loved so much . It was a great day out. I was really happy because the atmosphere was really good. Pleasent atmosphere. The animal houses are clean, and the animals are in good condition. I think this is the perfect place for the children to learn about the jungle. We had a lot of fun . Favorable ticket price and tidy places . I highly recommend this 👍.

(Translated by Google) Definitely good value for money. Great time away for 1.5 to 2 hours. The animals are fun and especially the turtles come in large numbers. Many accommodations are still being worked on, but that is only good. The caimans were still visible but that will come soon. With a child of 1.5 it is exciting because not everything is 100% child proof. You can't expect these kinds of outings. But it is definitely recommended.

(Translated by Google) Small but nice zoo. Many areas are working on new animal enclosures. The animal enclosures out there are beautiful, clean, spacious, and fun to see. You can also see that the plants, paths and signs are neatly maintained. The staff are very friendly and the variety of animals is nice (especially for what you can expect for the entrance in combination with the size). Definitely recommended for families with children between 1.5 and 8 years old.

Lovely small animal zoo. I think the biggest animal there is, is a lama. Lots of birds and fishes, some insects, spiders and snakes (big snakes though). It's also in a nice environment, good for a walk. A petting zoo and a shelter for apes and monkeys are also nearby.

(Translated by Google) Last weekend we went here with our daughter. The entrance fee of € 6 p.p. is a nice start. That is different from € 26pp for an average zoo. Now the Almere jungle is not colossal and does not have the large animals as an animal park, but it is really a great outing. Catering was obviously closed in Corona time, so I cannot judge that. Some parts were under renovation, but nevertheless I thought it was great value for money. Nice for people with a small wallet to see a lot of nice interesting animals.
