Norway is such a beautiful country full of amazing views and nature. But the treatment and racism I have faced with the Norwegians is quite shocking. They have treated me with such difficulty throughout my stay, especially the hotel reservation as well as the restaurant reservation. As soon as they know that I am a Muslim and wearing a head scarf. They make it difficult for me to just have, a dinner yet for the foreigners it’s quite easy for them. I never thought that Norwegian people would be racist and against Muslims, yet there’s a lot of Muslim people living in Norway, so I thought they were having a good relationship. It’s very upsetting about the way they look at me and the way they treat me. When I went to breakfast, all the tables were not clean, there was only one person serving, and there were many people Also they close for breakfast very early 9:30

Wonderful, beautiful and historic hotel. Still, it provides everything you expect. On checking in, the receptionist saw that taking a lot of stairs was a challenge for me so he immediately changed the room to one next to the elevator. This is service I greatly appreciate. I booked a half board combination and I received a nice book about the history of the hotel with my booking. Nice present! The room initially was far too hot for me and I couldn't find a temperature control. So I asked at the reception , this was arranged by computer for each room individually. Old meets new and I got a more comfortable room temperature. The menu offered two options, the food was very good. Although it seems that soup of Jerusalem Artichokes is a new national dish? I had it three times during my two weeks holiday in Norway :-) Conclusion, this is a hotel worth recommending. And for Rail enthousiasts, the exit directly gives access to the Voss train station situated on the beautiful Bergen - Oslo railway line.

While it may be a little tired it is still a beautiful hotel, especially in the main dining and entrance areas. Great spot to sit and enjoy a drink or a quiet spot to read and enjoy the view. Our double room was a good size. The bed however had no real mattress, just what appeared to be a foam topper on a bed base. Comfortable enough but not what I'd expect in 4 star. Had the basic bathroom supplies but again, less than expected in 4 star. Breakfast and meal were really good and on the doorstep of train station. Lovely to have met Mrs. Fleischer and to hear some of the hotel and family history.

We have arrived quite late at the hotel, tired and hungry. The restaurant at the hotel was not open and the receptionist Neil (hope I got his name right) was so sweet amd helpful. He helped us to check if there were still restaurants open in town and told us we will not be able to make it on time as most restaurants are already preparing to close for the day. We then asked if we could order in pizza from the only available restaurant still willing to take our order and he obliged willingly. As there were some language barrier, he helped us with the order as well. My friends and I were so grateful to him. He has gone beyond his call of duty to make us feel so welcome to the hotel. There is another gentleman, Marcus, doing the night shift but has report to work early. Both Neil and Marcus, offered us warm water, and fill us in with history of this hotel. Is people like them that makes travelling such a pleasure and it makes us overlook whatever flaw there may have of the physical hotel. They warmed the cold night for us. They took the initiative to make sure we are well fed. Bravo, guys! Thank you once again and with such good attitude you will definitely succeed in whatever or wherever the both of you do or go 💪🏼

Wunderschönes altes Hotel mit Charme und Ambiente. Die Zimmer, insbesondere die Bäder benötigen ein Update. Hervorragendes Frühstück und Abendbuffet. Zum Frühstück sollte man vor 9 Uhr kommen.

The hotel was wonderful to explore with so much history. I walked around and there were many little hidden areas throughout where you could sit or play a game. They have kept alot of the history and the rooms have been updated with some details left original. The hotel has the 6th generation of family as current ownership. The bar was nice with all of its historical charm. The front terrace had a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of seating and flowers to admire. They have kept some of the original items in the hotel that are on display to explain the history. My only regret was not signing up for the free tour of the hotel. There is no air conditioning as normal but the windows open to allow fresh air. The hotel is right beside the train station and is close to shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and ensure I spent a couple of days in this city. It had a few surprises that made the journey worth it. Most people bypass this place and proceed to Bergen.

Booked one night as a part of a work event. Arrived at the hotel without designated room. Hotel was overbooked. I was placed in the nearby motel. The room was 50m away from the hotel. Quiet, huge room with a garden down to the lake. That was fantastic. Due to teams meetings draging out i came late to the barbaque. Food was cold. The resturant made a hot meal for me. Amazing service. Thanks for a great stay.

One of the best hotel I have visited ,it has an excellent location, rooms beautifully decorated traditionally.Neat & clean rooms .The rooms doesn’t have Safe but I am sure 100% they are very safe rooms hence they don’t require SAFE. If in Voss a stay in Fleischer’s Hotel will be a very good decision

The shower was over a small metal bath which was very slippery, no shower mat. Good size room in newer block, up lift and then awkward spiral staircase so got service lift. Quite although near railway station. Nice views, and lounge areas, very friendly host. Bar staff slow. Good buffet.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Old fashioned perfectly taken care of. Great amenities including pool and hot jacuzzi! Room with a view and hotel is next to train and gondola station. Totally worth it.

Location couldn’t be better. Just next to the train, bus station, Voss Gondola and tourist info center. We stayed in a lake view room. It is a historical beautiful building. The breakfast was also excellent. We wished that we could spend more time in and relax on the front deck or bar. Definitely suggested!

Everything went perfectly for us at Fleischer's Hotel. The staff are very welcoming, and the room was perfectly clean and quiet, with an amazing view of the lake. The restaurant serves quality food in a sumptuous setting. We hiked from place to place, and the facilities offered by the hotel, especially the swimming pool and jacuzzi, were very welcome to relax after a long day's hiking. In the evening, there was a concert given by a band in the veranda and hotel guests were able to enjoy the view in a festive atmosphere.

Absolutely beautiful 😍 stunning old fashioned hotel castle. Loved all decor. Room was overlooking fjord. Very quite and unique place. Being in the museum. Loved 😍 dinner. Variety was huge. However was a bit disappointed when didn't find basics like croussants in the buffet. Pancakes were over carbonated.

Lovely historic place to stay in Voss. The rooms I had were super-minimalist, but enough according to function for a night and worth the price. The breakfast buffet was amazing, come back for that. Great location next to the train station and close to the water and the mountain with the gondola. Employees were super friendly and accommodating. Holding bags while wandering town before check-in and after checkout was super nice.

We might be just unlucky. Room had hard scent, which was not very nice. Room was not prepared for extra kids. At the restaurant, waiting to get information was loooong, even though there were little people. Food on breakfast was ok, but variety was poor. Pool area was good. In general, hotel is used up, it has it's charm in that too.

Awesome Hotel with great indoor swimming pool, nice and cozy pub, restaurant and beautiful classic hall ways which reminds luxurious old days European palaces. The view from dinning area, pub and many rooms is one of the best view you can think of with lake, beautiful greenery, and little snow covered mountain on the background. Location is very perfect and central. It is just behind the the famous Voss Train station and Voss Gondola. If you want to visit Voss, I highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel with the feeling to stay in 18th century. The staff is extra ordinary friendly and helpful. I stayed just one night, but I feld totally relaxed and enjoyed. I can fully recommend the hotel for all kind of travelers.

What an amazing hotel !! You can feel the good old times there. Could be the perfect scenery for a film shoot. Also very kind stuff and great cuisine. And last but not least its a baby friendly hotel too.

An overall good stay. It’s an amazing location and a charming hotel. However, it needs some updating. The 3 course meals that were included were ok but a little underwhelming. It’s still a solid 4 star experience and the staff was very helpful and friendly. A beautiful town to explore with the train station to Oslo 30 seconds walk away.

Stately. Beautiful dining room with a view. Food prepared and presented tastefully. Yum!! Loved the different areas of the hotel's first floor with the tea room. Nicely maintained. Staff pleasant and warm.

Fleischer hotel by far one of the most ancient hotels visited by us. Staff is very warm and welcoming. We reached here at 2 am without any bookings done prior. Man at the reception who belonged to North of Norway helped us big time in getting our booking sorted. Such an old hotel and so well maintained. Best part in breakfast they ran out of croissants and the chef baked fresh croissants and sent with strawberries to our room....my mouth is watery writing about them....that walk from breakfast area to the deck at sea water is running fresh in mind, further which was connected to the amazing water villa's wish to.own one there in near future.....amazing Moss and amazing Fleischer hotel

A quaint old hotel with a lot of history in their decorations. Although it's an old building, it's very well maintained. The cleanliness of the bed sheets could be improved although the staff were quick to change it when we asked them to. The breakfast buffet were great.

I have an ambiguous impression of this hotel: the building is gorgeous, the food is delicious and affordable. Rooms are different... The first room I got was enormously expensive and didn't reflect the price almost at all: heating didn't work, it was very dark and the bathroom was so-so. The other room was considerably cheaper (almost half price) and much better: warm, with beautiful lamps and a nice bathroom with a bathtub! One thing which is undoubtedly down-prioritised here is the quality of the toilet paper :)

Historic and soulful hotel! Very central with regards to the gondola taking you to the skislopes. Good package deal with hotel and daypass. Food was very nice! Bathrooms was very nice and upgraded in style. Recommend room 120 with a balcony.

Phenomenally restored hotel with an old world vibe. The owner, a lovely Norwegian lady, came out to see us as we made a quick stopover after a day trip to Flam from Bergen and were heading back to the latter. Had a quick tea and burger to warm us up and the food was fantastic, as was the service. Right next to the train line. When we come back to Norway, this is on our bucket list!

👍👍 Wonderful new hotel in Voss. Unique aesthetic which is unlike anywhere else nearby. I recommend for anyone doing the Norway in a nutshell trip from Oslo to Bergen. Great and unique fine dining food and good wine also.
