The dancers did their best, but there was no orchestra – quite a shocking turn for a theatre of this stature. The recording played rather flatly with most of the sound coming from the right-hand side of the stage. However, the ticket price was the same as a regular show. The orchestra pit photo is attached.

I had a ticket for the performance on 10/01/2021 on the second row. In the hall it turns out that in front of my second row before the stage was 9 more rows have been installed, which are occupied by bigwigs. These 9 rows was set on a flat floor covering the orchestra pit (the performance was without an orchestra). Accordingly, there was no rise between the rows, so half of the stage was obscured by the heads. During the performance, many bigwigs made video recordings, pulling their phones up with their hands up, which completely obscured the view of the stage and, in addition, distracted from viewing. There was no reaction to these actions from the theater staff. When buying a ticket, I did not receive warnings that there will be eight more in front of my first row. The show itself was wonderful, brought to Russia from abroad. I wonder if the troupe knew about such an attitude of the host theater towards ordinary spectators.

Wonderfully talented artists. Staff of the building are very friendly. Affordable prices mean that costumes and sets are a bit more conservative, however, they make the best of their theatre space.

Went to see the ballet "Sleeping beauty". The performance was Ok because I've seen better. But the theatre itself is small and fancy, clean and well-kept.

I have several acquaintances who have made a tradition each time on New Year's eve to go to the bathhouse, that is, to the theater on the Nutcracker, and even Big, that is, to the Bolshoi. And every time I listen and understand that some kind of proletarian preparation for the new year comes out for me, that is, well, it’s not until December 31 that I’m ballet. Meanwhile, ballet is my love love. In childhood, I was caught on a stool in front of the TV during the days of mourning with the question: "Katya, where are you going?" "There, dance to them." I go to ballet with great joy. To Bolshoi, to the Mariinsky, and to the Nutcracker never. And last week, thanks to the invitation of Moskultura, I got to the Novaya Opera Theater, which is in one of my favorite places in Moscow - the Hermitage Garden. I have not seen such an accumulation of foreigners for a long time, because ballet is still a visiting card of Russia no less than the Kremlin. I sat next to a Japanese woman who, during the intermission, was very actively taking pictures of herself and herself, and at the performance, apparently tired, she fell asleep. And to sleep with the music of Tchaikovsky is a pleasure, of course! Although it was difficult for me to sit, I wanted to circle in a waltz. And just like in childhood "there to them." Stunning scenery and costumes. Beauty and more. The main parties of Masha and the Prince - Alisa Voronova and Dmitry Kozhemyakin - as they say there "bravo, bravissimo"! Elegant and bewitching. True, alas, almost all the support went slightly wrong. Solo numbers of dolls and national dances are pleasure and delight, but the corps de ballet raised questions. In places, it was like a parody of a ballet. Such heavy, without air, not very synchronized, dancing snowflakes with clatter. This "Nutcracker" was a guest, St. Petersburg Ballet Theater. P. Tchaikovsky on the stage of the theater "new opera". overall very satisfied!

Beautiful sound, gorgeous atmosphere, voices and orchestra. It was my first opera time, but I enjoyed it. Everything was understandable with the subtitles above the scene. Traviata

The performance was OK, but far from the best. The quality is not even close to the Bolshoi Theatre. There was no orchestra. A visibility was good and chairs comfortable.

Saw swan lake.. one of the best experiences of my life. Wonderful performances and beautiful theatre... the outside garden is also peaceful and worth a stroll.

Novaya Opera maintains a self-established tradition: really good voices but frankly HORRIBLE scenery, costumes and the staging in general. Don't make this mistake: if you want to see something that won't make you throw up, just don't go. Or go blindfolded. It's like that with all of their performances.

👍 Today I visited the theater. From the very beginning I had a negative impression! I purchased tickets in the “premium” zone, thinking that I would be able to enjoy a beautiful view from the first row, first or second seat. But nowhere was it indicated that visibility would be limited!!! Fortunately,...

👍👍 It’s a pity that we lost both the cinema and the history of the names in this place: “Russia” and “Pushkinsky”. After all, nothing prevents us from leaving these names where they have been for more than half a century. Perhaps Mikhail Efimovich, the former Ministry of Culture, will hear this and und...
