I definitely recommend this place, even though it was quite expensive with diamond fund. If you are planning to visit this place, you should borrow the audio guide. Finally you could see the amazing Russian treasures in this unparalleled museum in the world. Although i will visit St petersberg tomorrow, i hope this could be my second museum in the world.

It is called as "Aruzeinnaya palata" in Russian. No photography allowed inside. Still I managed a few. A beautiful and well managed place with stuff from daily lives of Russian Czars displayed here. Their diamond encrusted clothes and armoury. Their carriages, personal weapons, silver ware, gifts and what not. A huge hit with tourists and Russians as well. Everything if valued must be worth several billion dollars. 1000 rubles ( 16 $) entry ticket. Includes digital guide, and museum curator too. A voyage through old times. !!!!! One of the pictures below posted by me is real Kremlin red bricks visible below tiles.

They did not allow photos inside here. But I would estimate if the sold half the jewels, and amazing artifacts here, they could eliminate world hunger. Russia and the Vatican could easily change the world.

(Translated by Google) Sumptuously. An audio guide is issued, 9 rooms, time must be allocated up to 2 hours, an hour is definitely not enough. The exhibits are simply mesmerizing, the collection is gorgeous. It is forbidden to photograph the exhibits themselves. A guidebook and souvenirs for sale. A must-see for both Muscovites and guests of the capital.

(Translated by Google) The museum has a total of 9 rooms. It is compact but very impressive. Wealth is amazing. The skill of our handicrafts is unique, because the Armory is a set of workshops by design. But Peter ordered to gradually turn it into a repository of items of rare craftsmanship, as well as coronation dresses, exclusive weapons, unique carriages and more. A special place is occupied by gifts to the Russian imperial court from various royal houses of Europe, gifts from the eastern khans. One of the showcases displays a collection of Easter eggs from Carl Faberge's jewelry workshop. The tour lasts 1.5 hours. It's boring without a tour.

London was awesome this is the best. The best museum I have ever visited and it has a lot of staff about WW2. It's not about all the way to the victory of the red army. It also has a number of tremendous items staff German American and of course Soviet. It recreates in a room perfectly the Reich stag as it was when it fell. It has a lot of souvenirs that the Germans left to the Soviet when they lost the war. And the think that I will not forget was the exhibition is the memorial room which is worthy watching it.

What an amazing collection this is. Rich and varied with things to interest all. The collection of gold and silver objects and the weapons are amazing. The horse carriage collection is astounding. Aim to spend about 3-4 hours here and use the supplied audio guide. Enough seating to relax. The collection may seem to be in a compact place as they have a lot to show...they could use a space 5 times bigger to display in a better way but would be less secure and more tiresome too . Very much recommend. Book online if possible and get there for the allocated time, no time limit to leave once inside . Keep a snack and water with you.

Make sure you fits to walk long hours and steady to climb their stairs. Most importantly you should love to know the history as it's worth the tour and guide commentary. (Translated by Google) I was surprised that there are not many weapons in the armory) there are a lot of dishes! There is a hall with clothes, a hall with tsarist regalia (here is the "Monomakh hat"), a hall with Russian uniforms. However, my favorite hall is the hall of carriages and carriages, most of which belonged to Elizabeth. These are works of art! Of course, there is a room with weapons: from sabers to pistols, each exhibit deserves special attention! In general, a must-see if you are in Moscow! One of the best museums in Moscow!! This is definitely worth a trip to see. It is a beautiful and informative museum. Plan on spending a whole afternoon or more here as there are 4 floors FILLED with memorabilia, dioramas and displays. There is also a theater. When you are in this museum it feels like you are in a different world, it truly takes you to a different mindset where you develop a greater appreciation for the War and all those who died. There is also a beautiful outside area. I still think back to this museum often as one of my favorite places I have been! This museum is also completely wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets!

(Translated by Google) On January 30, we visited a new large-scale exposition "The Feat of the People" with an excursion "Unconquered Leningrad" This is a truly impressive, large-scale interactive project with audio and video materials, sound effects and beautiful 3D decorations. Many thanks for the implementation of such a grandiose project to all its creators and the director of the museum. Exactly such, magnificent in artistic embodiment, exhibitions should be in our museums. But I would like to dwell on some of the nuances. 1. A cool visual range creates a technical paradox of the exhibition: you don't want to leave it, but the museum does not offer you time to stay and study the exhibits on your own. The graphic and architectural solution of the exhibition, large-scale three-dimensional panoramas from the first minutes immerse the viewer in this space and successfully solve the problem of boredom and the usual desire to escape from the exhibition at the sight of mothballs and small fonts. But now the interested listener has no temporary opportunity either to examine all this space in more detail, or to use interactive screens for a broader and deeper study of the topic. He simply runs "at a gallop across Europe" for a guide. As for our visit, we left the exhibition in 1.5 hours instead of the 2 stated in the ticket. 2. Besides such a hasty acquaintance, I was surprised by the strange use of technology. So, in the hall about culture in besieged Leningrad, the guide tells about the "7th symphony" by D. Shostakovich, and in the speakers they play the song "The Holy War" by A. Alexandrov. An uninitiated person will naturally associate The Holy War with Shostakovich. And it is sincerely incomprehensible to me why, possessing such powerful technical means, to create such incorrect connections in the audience? 3. Now to the confusion when buying tickets online. Pricing information should be presented without discrepancy so as not to create unnecessary tension and irritation for the visitor. There is absolutely no need for a visitor to begin acquaintance with the Victory Museum with negative emotions. For example, in the description for the "Feat of the Army" sightseeing tour, it is directly indicated that it is necessary to buy an entrance ticket. And in the description for the exhibition "Feat of the People: Unconquered Leningrad" nothing of the kind is stated. Why shouldn't the technician in charge of the site enter a phrase in the description of the excursions and on the online purchase page that “additionally you need to buy an entrance ticket to the Main Building” for all excursions where necessary. Or immediately sell tickets for excursions with an included admission ticket at prices in accordance with the categories. And thus not to create unnecessary confusion, hustle and bustle and waste of time buying additional tickets on the spot. So, on our excursion, a woman with two children had tickets only to the exhibition, and when buying entrance tickets at the box office, one of them was sold to her with the date the next day and the turnstiles did not let them through. (But everything ended well.) We paid an additional 600 rubles to the allocated budget for visiting the museum. By the way, a ticket to the Main Building gives you the opportunity to go out and re-enter the museum, at least that's what the employee told us at the turnstile. We have not tested. This is good and logical, since toilets, cafes and souvenir shops are located at the entrance to the turnstile line. As a result, I definitely recommend the new interactive exhibition to visit, but with the general excursion "The feat of the people".

I loved the museum. So much history in one place. Audio guides were good too. I wish museum workers did their job and actually enforced the rules such as no photos and masks on. They gotta know that constant photo taking with flash destroys historic objects over time. Russians at the museum don't seem to care at all about the rules.

Considering the ticket fare, I found the exhibition to be a bit small. Nice collection of treasuries though. Free audio guide is a plus. Negative point is that you are not allowed to take pictures inside. Be smart and reserve your ticket for a specific time slot a few days in advance via the internet, the queue at the ticket office was long.

A MUST see, amazing collection of paintings and artifacts (from carriages, ceremonial objects, ceremonial horses objects, precious textiles, Russian gold and silverware, artistic tableware, and much more) which are dating back to 12 Century. Download the free ARMOURY CHAMBER app, and skip the audio guide at the museum, because 1) the app has way more information (4hours of information instead of the 1hr museum audio guide), 2) the audio guide info is not correct at some places. However the written info on the cards are correct. Taking pictures is prohibited, and you should leave your overcoat (and not your bag) at the clock room. I spent 3.5 hrs here, would have stayed more if I didn't have to rush to visit Kremlin as well.

The oldest Russian museum — the Armoury Chamber — is a treasure-house which houses precious collections of ancient state regalia, ceremonial tsar's vestments and coronation dress, vestments of the Russian Orthodox Church's hierarchs, gold and silverware by Russian craftsmen, West European artistic silver, ceremonial weapons and arms, carriages, horse ceremonial harness. The Armoury museum building, included to the Grand Kremlin Palace Complex on the project of architect K.A. Ton, was erected in 1844-1851 on place of the dismantled in the XVIIth century Stables Court. The architecture of the Armoury Сhamber is close to the Grand Kremlin Palace. The two-storeyed construction is placed on thick basement of variable height. Details styled in the XVII century manner were used in the façades' décor, but in contradistinction to the XVII century style they are free of coldness and meagreness. The main adornment of the façades are white-stone carved columns with juicy vegetable ornament. However, the sameness of the silhouette make the palace ensemble rather inexpressive. The Armoury ChamberThe Armoury Chamber The composition of the Armoury with symmetrically located exposition halls and the front entrance with a staircase in the eastern flat end of the building is rather unexpected. The enfilade of display halls closes with half-round halls in flat ends. In the center there is a round hall bossed into the yard. The unusual system of high floor vaults, bearing against exquisite columns, creates an impression of constructions' aeriality and a feeling of interior amplitude and magnificence. The present-day exposition was created in 1986. Nine Armoury halls exhibit Russian and Foreign jewelry articles of the XIIth-XIXth centuries, armoury and weapons, State regalia, royal carriages, garbs and other artware.

(Translated by Google) The collection of the Armory (Aruzseynaja Palace) contains the treasures that the Russian tsars and princes have collected over many, many centuries: so it is, in fact, one of the richest treasures in the world! The Aruzseynaja Palace (literally following the interpretation of the name: a house of weapons built of stone) was first mentioned in a document in 1508, although blacksmiths who made weapons, helmets, shields and other military equipment as early as the 13th century. century they lived and worked here. Later, gold and silversmiths, icon painting workshops and even royal stables moved here. The designation as an institution is therefore in the XVI. It dates from the beginning of the 16th century, as evidenced by the fact that the gunmaster was one of the high officials of the court at that time. During the time of Peter the Great, most of the arms-making and goldsmith workshops moved to St. Petersburg, so that the palace became more and more a “museum”. The construction of today's Armory began in 1844 on the orders of Tsar Nicholas I of Constantine Ton - and this building was already designed specifically as a museum. Passing by the building, we notice a separate small museum entrance: this is the Diamond Museum (Almazian Fond - see 25B). We do not wish to present the entire exhibitions of the armory, we would only highlight a few important pieces of this unheard-of-value material. The entrance is from the Borovickaja Tower. From here we get to the basement - here are the checkouts and the cloakroom. On the other side of the basement we reach the ground floor, where we can first see a special collection of garments and magnificent fabrics of the tsars and court nobility. One of the most spectacular pieces is II. It is related to Catherine - the coronation dress of the Empress made in 1762, the heavy brocade material of which is decorated with golden double-headed eagles. In the middle of the ground floor we can see royal insignia, various objects of the tsarist court used on festive occasions: thrones, nations and rights. Made in Persia in 1659, the so-called. “Diamond Throne” donated to Tsar Alexei Romanov by an Armenian trading company. The throne is adorned with about 800 diamonds and 100 other gemstones. Here you can also see the famous Monomáh cap (Sápka Monomáha). The crown, made of gold and surrounded by coboly fur, dates from the 13th century. or XIV. It was made by Eastern goldsmiths in the 16th century and was crowned by all Russian tsars until 1682. Because of its considerable weight, the Russian saying that symbolizes the burden of power is still alive: “Heavy as the cap of Monomah”. Katalinhoz kapcsolódik – a cárnő 1762-ben készült koronázási ruhája, melynek nehéz brokát anyagát arany kétfejű sasok díszítik.

Authentic items and material and great paintings on the liberation of key cities in Europe including the Leningrad and Stalingrad blockade. However, expect Russian patriotism - they are really proud of their military achievements. Museum areal is very big and it takes several hours to get the full experience. The basic entry ticket is around €5. Accompanying texts are translated into English but some of the authentic material were only in Russian. The museum is open late till the evening. On Saturday it closes at 21:30, therefore you can also plan it for the late afternoon.

This museum, which opened in 1995, is home to the world’s biggest permanent collection dedicated to the Great Patriotic War (WWII), spread over 14,143 square metres (152,000 square feet) of exhibition space. In addition to the permanent collection, which includes weaponry, vehicles, war-time photographs, and newsreels among other items, this museum plays host to illuminating temporary exhibitions. More than anything else, the Museum of the Great Patriotic War is an exceptional visual experience – from the luminous Hall of Glory to the heart-wrenching Hall of Remembrance to immersive 3D dioramas, all of which let you revisit the toughest battles of WWII.

Best museum of the second war that I’ve been, there are some parts that are only in Russian, so it’ll be a good idea to pay extra for the guided tour, you’re not going to regret, and at the end go to the third floor to see the domo, amazing. We took a guided tour and absolutely loved it. It was very interesting both for adults and kids. We enjoyed half empty hallways (which is very unusual) due to less visitors because of COVID travel restrictions. Highly recommend.
