Formally,
this
is
not
the
ZIL
Museum,
but
the
MSC-6
AMOZIL
Museum
(Mechanical
Assembly
Shop
No.
6
Automotive
Society
of
the
Individual
Limousine
Plant).
ZIL
fell
under
the
pressure
of
developers,
and
this
is
a
private
office
formed
a
couple
of
years
ago
on
the
remains
of
TsLA
-
a
passenger
car
workshop,
also
known
as
mechanical
assembly
shop
No.
6,
where
high-class
cars
were
assembled
individually
to
serve
the
Soviet
party
elite.
The
new
owners
got
all
the
assets,
including
equipment,
machine
park,
stock
of
parts
and
materials,
plus
-
somehow
-
several
exhibits
from
the
factory
museum.
The
workers
of
MSC-6
are
great
fellows;
they
not
only
continue
to
collect
new
cars
and
restore
old
ones,
but
also
created
a
museum.
Moreover,
entry
is
free.
There
are
unique
exhibits
here:
starting
with
the
snow-white
ZIS-101A,
ending
with
the
passenger
“Blue
Bird”
ZIL-49065.
There
is
even
a
stillborn
ZIL-4102,
a
beige-colored
example
known
under
the
nickname
“Raika.”
The
only
one
of
the
two
that
has
survived
to
this
day.
In
addition
to
automobile
rarities,
there
are
hood
emblems,
branded
wheel
caps,
models,
engine
compartment
plates,
an
assembly
drawing
made
by
the
American
company
Budd,
which
supplied
body
stamps
for
the
production
of
the
ZIS-101,
and
much
more.
Very
good.
I
would
like
to
wish
the
owners
more
advertising,
a
large
sign
for
the
museum
(you
need
to
look
for
it
specifically).
The
state
and
the
Moscow
mayor's
office
need
to
be
proud
of
such
a
museum
and
promote
it.
Museum
of
Russian
Cadillacs
:)
