River Terminal was built in the 1930es and was fashioned after Venetian palaces, which is weird, considering communist environment at that time in Russia. Then it slowly deteriorated until it was closed. Now it came back with vengeance! It was restored way above its previous glory! Super nice and clean, with adjacent park very nicely done. My friend architect Julian, head of UNK Project architectural bureau adored this renovated object publicly.

Classic old building. I lived nearby in 1997/98 and came here often. I hope relations between Russia and Europe/USA are sorted out asap.

Great place for day fun with family and kids. River ride is great, takes about 1 hour. BTW, private rides surprisingly cost the same as government tours, but has flexible schedule.

Terrific views across the canal. Probably the only restaurant in the world where you can see an Ekranoplan and a Submarine in the view. Nice colonial atmosphere, passable food. No Russian beer, only German stuff. It is in a beautiful park and we'll worth stopping here for a refuel.

It's just so beautiful there! You have a choice of different boat rides on the beautiful Moscow river. You can do a quick ride that lasts about 20 minutes from the port to another stop for the price of a metro ride or you can go on a full on 21 day cruise....we didn't go on either and just went to look at the history and architecture and had an amazing time. The bay is really long so it is a really nice walk with plenty of little stands where you can buy tea, coffee, icecream, pastries, hotdogs, burgers, etc. There is a very clean public toilet and plenty of places to sit back and enjoy the view. The whole "marina" is surrounded by a beautiful park which we luckily visited during autumn so the gloomy weather was met with the gorgeous orange leaves.

Nice park after reconstruction. You can enjoy walking on the bank of the river, or walk in the park or take your meal at nice cafe. I really recommend it to you to enjoy your spare time there.

The port looks beautiful after the renovation. However, keep in mind that there are almost no places to grab some food yet. I guess more to open later.

Brand new as of Nov 2020, newly renovated main building is very nice to look around. Park grounds are very clean and children's play areas are very good. Lots of different small play areas with equipment for all ages. Food kiosks are a bit pricey but is to be expected due to location. Kebabs and coffees are cheaper over the highway. Still, a great place for a stroll along the water or under the trees. Stunning in autumn.
