    Awful place. It feels like I’m smoking room in the restaurant!!! Restaurant breaks the law about restriction of smoking in public places. I couldn’t enjoy the food.

    Fantastic food excellent service and beautiful surrounds. My favorite restaurant in Moscow. Three course lunch with wine for two about €80.

    It was ok. But felt kind of like a restaurant in a hotel. It worked hard at being elegant but just felt sort of sterile and frumpy. The Beef Stroganoff however was exactly what a Stroganoff should be.

    Sehr guter Service, traditionelle russische Küche - gut, aber geschmacklich eher langweilig (bei mir: im Gemüsesud gekochter Stör). Die Restaurant-Räume sind wunderbarer Jugendstil - eine tolle Atmosphäre.

    “Chekhov great cocktails” (as presented on google maps) turned out to have only 4 cocktails on the menu and the bar would not known how to make Moscow mule. A bit disappointed with such a short cocktail list...

    Even though the restaurant was almost empty, the food took 40 minutes to arrive. The food was overcooked. The fish dish I ordered consisted of two fish tails. The coffee was bitter. Avoid.
