One of the interesting attractions to see at the Red Square in Moscow is the small chapel just outside Resurrection Gate next to the State Historical Museum. This is a decorative, teal green chapel adorned with gilded figures on the facade as well as a angelic figure holding the Russian Orthodox cross atop the chapel. The roof has a celestial pattern. It is a small but attractive building to view. The chapel was closed during our visit in July so not sure if you can enter and see the interior of the Chapel of Iver Icon of Our Lady. However, the exterior is attractive and makes for nice pictures. Give Chapel of Iver Icon of Our Lady a few minutes to enjoy during before passing through the Resurrection Gate to see the rest of the Red Square.

(Translated by Google) Countdown kilometers. Belief: you need to stand in the center of the circle, make a wish and throw a coin over your shoulder. By the way, the coins do not even have time to fly to the ground, they are immediately raised by some people. It doesn’t look very cool.

The kilometer marking is a common thing in Russia and is in a lot of cities. It illustrates from where all distances from a city are measured. It is usually situated at the head post office. The location is around the Red Square, just right from the 1812 war museum. Though, this is not the real kilometer mark from Moscow. The real one is situated at the Central Telegraph Office on Nikitsky Lane 7.

The zero kilometer of highways of the Russian Federation in Moscow is a special mark from which road distances are counted. It is located in the historical center of the city, on Manezhnaya Square, in the passage between the buildings of the State Historical Museum and the City Duma. Interesting composition.

(Translated by Google) There was no time to find out what to what - we moved on to Red Square itself. In front of the entrance there is a kind of center of Russia - a delineated circle from which the distances to all cities of Russia are counted. Somehow someone started a rumor that if you throw a coin over your shoulder while standing on that circle, and at the same time make a wish, it will come true. We did not break the tradition and also threw a coin. I noted the displeased face of the old woman who was picking up those same coins when she found the image of the trident instead of the usual eagle (we threw Ukrainian coins).

(Translated by Google) Moscow's zero point is right at the entrance to Red Square, where people stand on a golden star and, fortunately, toss a coin over their heads, and there, as if they are together, collect a few coins. (Translated by Google) Finding this attraction is quite simple. If you stand facing the entrance to the Historical Museum, and there is a monument to Marshal Zhukov behind your back, then you should proceed to the left, and you will immediately see this masterpiece on the paving stones. In general, there are always a lot of tourists near it, so it will be difficult to miss the zero kilometer. This monument was created back in 1996 according to the project of Voskresensky. Image in the form of a square with breaks in the sides and a circle in the center. I noticed interesting manipulations of tourists, then I found out. It turns out that here people make wishes and throw a coin over their shoulder. This is necessary in order for the wish to come true. An interesting event, of course, but why not. People love to invent interesting things for themselves. This monument, or better to say a landmark, will be a good addition when walking around the center of Moscow. Near the Kremlin, the Historical Museum, many squares, which, of course, are much more significant than this place, but unexpectedly stumbling upon it, it is quite possible to take a couple of photos and observe the tradition, if there is a desire and the queue is not too long.

“All roads lead to Moscow” so I have been told. Stand in the middle and throw a coin over your shoulder and make a wish. Don't know who he is but he picks up the money with a magnet stick and keeps it. Just hope it goes to a charity or something

Lots of historical and cultural background, but a bit unspectacular. There is the custom of standing in the middle and tossing a coin behind you (actually a specific shoulder, but I forgot which one) and then making a wish. Unfortunately, there are almost always people at the place who pick up the coins right away... But since the place is right near Red Square, you can definitely take a look at it.

The usual point from which, judging by the stories and legend on the sign itself, the countdown of the length of the roads of our country begins. (Translated by Google) I would like to share the story "after I made a wish here, it came true." I would like to, but alas 😁 no, I have no complaints. Perhaps my thoughts jumped so quickly among all my "want" that they did not have time to fixate on one thing when I was standing in the middle. Interesting place. It knocks down the fact that they immediately pick up coins, thanks at least for letting them hit the ground. However, the ringing does not have time to subside and they disappear into bottomless pockets.

(Translated by Google) A monument in the form of an eight-pointed bronze star. The inscription on it reads "Kilometer Zero of the Roads of the Russian Federation". It is located opposite the Iverskaya Chapel. They say that if you make a wish and believe in it, it will come true! How to make a wish correctly at kilometer zero: - Turn around to face the Iverskaya Chapel; - Stand on one foot in the very center of the zero kilometer mark; - Throw a coin over your left shoulder with your left hand so that it remains within the zero kilometer mark; - Make a wish by tossing a coin. Personally, we asked the whole family and even filmed this process with instructions for our YouTube channel😁 Kilometer zero appeared in Moscow in 1996. The sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov used well-known symbols when creating it. The square stands for Paradise, the circle in which it is inscribed symbolizes harmony. The square is divided into four parts in four parts of the world. Each of them bears relief images of animals and plants characteristic of this part of the world.
