😠 I was looking forward to this place. I started with an ice tea. It was very sweet and I’m use to unsweetened ice tea. I asked for a unsweetened ice tea and they said OK but I still have to pay for the sweeten one. I said OK then they gave me one that was extremely sour as if it was half lemon juice... The Best! You're going to be in heaven when you try the food here. Just LOOK at my Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon!

One of the best club sandwiches i've had in a long time, really moist and tender chicken, good bacon, bread, everything. The chips were decent, but the sandwich was excellent. Good service too, attentive but not annoying.

I was looking forward to this place. I started with an ice tea. It was very sweet and I’m use to unsweetened ice tea. I asked for a unsweetened ice tea and they said OK but I still have to pay for the sweeten one. I said OK then they gave me one that was extremely sour as if it was half lemon juice (undrinkable). At that point I felt I needed to cancel my burger order and leave, I figured if they can’t make a western style ice tea they probably can’t make a cheeseburger either. I canceled my order and then they tried to explain to me what an ice tea was and said I still had to pay for it. I paid and left and won’t be back anytime soon.

Breakfast here was perfect! The staff were such a great chat and they even have a little mascot Nicky, with an amazing back story, if you have time you should ask about it 😂 Hopefully when we come back we’ll do dinner next time.

Good place, very homely and comfortable. The people here are very welcoming and food is also good. Prices for certain food can be a tad bit high but very few places in VT would serve such food. The burger and their desserts are great. Give it a try

Great French dishes. The only place I know in Vietnam where I dare to eat tartare (raw beef). I have been coming here for the past couple of years and the French dishes have always been good. Not so much for the Italian ones though. Too much sauce on the ravioli and the tiramisu is soggy /liquid.

A must when in Vung Tau. Casual french restaurant with friendly staff and owner. They make many items in house like perfect bacon and delicious smoked salmon. We visited for breakfast and dinner and were never disappointed. Every little detail was taken care of. Very sad to leave this treasure.

Originally known as Plein Sudd Restaurant located at the junction leading up to the Lighthouse . Long established restaurant specialising in French Cuisine & Pizzas with a big dedicated brick oven for the baking of pizzas & others. Plein Sudd moved over to the current location more than 10 years back & renamed Bistro 9 The current guvnor Jean Francoise(ex Grand Ho Tram) & Trang took over from the late Jean Luc & Hanh who have been a feature of Plein Sudd & Bistro 9 for the past 15 years. The late Jean Luc which I have known for 15 years will always be in my heart. Life goes on " The King is Dead Long Live the King "

The food was so bland! 🤮I got excited when I saw spinach ravioli, but even after the additional salt and pepper to give it flavor, it was hard to finish. I couldn't finish the garlic potatoes and sent it back. My date couldn't take 3 bites of his duck because it was overcooked with no flavor, too. SAVE YOUR MONEY, and just go to a street food vendor, you will enjoy your food more.

We dine here every trip to Vung Tau. Never disappointed. Food is superb and very reasonably priced, for the delights set before you. Service is exemplary by very friendly and attentive staff. The owner is a terrific host too. One thing.... as a treat before we return to Australia...the Profiteroles are to die for....beautifully presented dessert. French Onion soup is common is Australia.... but nothing like the real soup made here:)))

We were lucky to find this little gem of a restaurant. Fabulous French cuisine great staff we ate here 2 nights in a row ( we enjoyed it so much the first night) really friendly owner that thinks France will win the rugby World Cup😀....we informed him that Ireland would give him a run for his money! 5 🌟 food company and service...visit if you are in Vung Tau.

So, let’s start with pros of this place: 1. Nice atmosphere, comfortable place to have your meal without any rush. Place doesn’t look Vietnamese, more European. Lots of foreigners. 2. Food was also good. Especially cheesecake, must try! The best dessert I ever had in Vietnam for 4 years living here. Amazing taste. Cons: 1. Food was not served quickly. We have been waiting for 30 min. 2. Pricey. 3. When I asked to change my passion fruit juice, cause it was a rotten piece of fruit in it, they didn’t get me and just added sparkling water and lime in it. I even asked them to taste so they can understand me, but they didn’t taste and decided that I don’t like the taste of passion fruit itself. Better if you guys ask to clarify. 4. Tomato juice was pink and watery, my husband could not drink it. There is a special technic how to make tomato juice guys, it’s not just random tomato which you squeeze to get the liquid out of it. It must be red and have purée consistency. Overall experience is good. If you are craving for European food, definitely come here.

Good place. Last time I told them not using pasteurized milk for coffe (capu, latte, etc). They agreed, but still doing that. Working hours in in this app not correct. See photo attached.

The food is delicious. You can feel the air of being relaxed at this place. I recommend it.🤩

The tomatoe soup was good. The sandwich was all bread and light on the meat and cheese. They need to work on the timing for bringing food to the table. It trickled in 1 item at a time 1 person at a time.

It is a great quaint medium size bistro. The owner is nice and the workers are very attentive. Prices are good. It is a block off the beaten path but worth it. OH...and the food is good as well!!

Excellent. Took the beef short rib from the specials. Soft meat falling off the bone, delicious deep red wine sauce, fries nice and crispy. Beers served in a ice chilled glass. Not from here, but would come here again next time in Vung Tàu.

I had always here the best steaks in Vung Tau.They are worth the price. Everything home made and from quality ingredients.

The atmosphere is great and the owner is friendly, but the food is mediocre. Dishes were quite plain, small portions, and lots of canned or premade ingredients. This also ended up being our most expensive meal during our weekend stay. Coming from Saigon, I always leave wondering why the dining scene in Vung Tau is so underwhelming.

We went here as a large group of about 15 people. The service was great, food was really good. Friendly fairly fast to serve meals. I would recommend this place for good French food in Vietnam 🇻🇳

cannot count how many times I have been here over the past 5 years. each time I order a different meal. I have never been disappointed. excellent taste, quality ingredients, nice sized portions. the owner, Jean Francois, is ALWAYS HERE and always overseeing every detail. Today we had Southern French Fish soup with Roux, chef salad, tumeric & ginger smoothie, pineapple kombucha, smoked salmon eggs Benedict, chocolate mouse, a few chocolates... ALL homemade, all amazing.

It's the second time I've been here since two years ago, many western people choose here as their brunch restaurant, if you wanna taste the authentic western dishes you shouldn't miss this spot.

Some of the best food in Vietnam. Had dinner here and everything was amazing. Fresh baked complimentary bread and butter was unexpected and delicious. We had the cheese board, meat cold cut platter, pizza, cheeseburger and dessert. All the baking is done onsite, everything was so fresh and delicious. The owner made sure we enjoyed everything and is very passionate about the food he serves. Highly recommend everything we had, especially the chocolate praline cake.

Bistro 9 is our go to place in Vung Tau and has been for many years. Breakfast lunch or dinner there is always something to tempt the pallet. The food is authentic, delicious and well priced. The service is polite and professional. The atmosphere is inviting and busy enough to be interesting but overbearing. We brought our Team to Vung Tau recently and Jean-Francois and Trang were kind enough open specially on a Monday (normally closed) to feed us all! Fantastic service and food!! Love it!!!

😐 Taste was ok. But portions were too small for their prices. The sea snails themselves were small as well.
