A prominent rock with the shape of a cobra head is what make the altar and the reason for the shrine. A building cover the shrine.

Worth visiting the Temple once when you are in Labasa... This Temple has a historic significance and myth associated that the Shesh Nag (Aadi Shesh) on which Lord Krishna sits is in one of the caves near the temple. The stone idol of Shesh Naag is gradually growing on it's own.

Worth the visit. Went specifically to visit this temple from Savusavu to experience the solitude and solace all religious places have. Needless to add that the trip was worth the effort and time. The temple is famous for its main Naag idol (reportedly in the natural shape of a snake head) revered by followers of Lord Shiva. The Naag Mandir will also be itched in our memories for it's 108 tiny steps leading up to the main temple where the idols of Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvati are placed. The drive to Nagigi from Savusavu and back was pleasant and memorable with so many viewing points with incredible sights to behold for a life time.
