So nice staff, but the room I have toke was very horrible! They called it a deluxe room!!!!! So noisy because no double glass balcony door ! Very dirty balcony with a broken chaire, no nice view to mountains but on the main noisy road and buildings! Bed with multiple colors, a very bad taste, the room was dirty! I have never seen a hotel room like this ! The worst thing that pushed me to write about my experience, is that I could not even take a shower, there were only a very hot boiling water, no cold water, so no shower! And the bathroom was smelly ! If you pay with visa they charge you extra 8%!!!! Nothing was positive in my experience! First and last time ! I advice to prevent this place!

When we arrived the receptionist told us we have no room but he can give another one for extra price. 45 jod instead of 31. We booked it through booking.com. The receptionist was rude and condescending. Bad experience, do not recomenned at all.

Awful hostel( should not be called hotel) very dirty, linens were changed. One worker for all rooms( he is receptionist and cleaner and probably cook too) and he is super unprofessional smoking on the reception desk.

We have been transferred here from Nobel Hostel (which is common practise I supposed) and I am very dissapointed. We stayed just for one night because of flight. One day before we made an appoiment to have breakfast at 6.00 AM. And guess what? 6.00 AM no breakfast, no informations, nobody from the staff right on place. I have tried to contact with reception on our Messenger conversation at 6:15 but nobody respond. We had wait till 7.00 AM but still nothing - nobody cares. Finally we made a complaint - guess what? NOTHING , zero, no response, no refund. We have saw that SB read our message. We paid for the breakfast and we wasted the money. I am dissapointed , angry I won't recommend you order the breakfast early innthe morning. The accommodation was ok, sheets was clean, the bathroom was great.

Although the receptionist guy was very helpful and friendly this "hotel" definitely needs a renovation or it shouldn't be called a hotel. The room was freezing and we could hear all the noise from the street, and the whole building was smelly. The location is good but I'd rather stay somewhere else next time.

Long story short - adequate considering the price. The location is great, close to center and the staff was ok as well. You get what you need, but it was very loud since it's next to a highway and the photos of the rooms were much nicer than the actual room.

Very good value for money. Basic room and good breakfast. They are very nice, friendly and kind. And also near the citadel. Definitely I recommend

I stayed at the City Citadel Hotel several times. Each time, the owner and the team catered to my requests and needs. They are helpful and kind. Though the team does not speak English fluently, we managed to understand each other. The rooms are clean and beds are extra comfortable. The traditional breakfast gives a good taste of the Arabic culture, especially if you've just arrived in Jordan. The hotel is located right next to the center of Amman, which makes it perfect for a short stay. I highly recommend staying there!

this home away from home. This hotel runs like it's your own with a private maid service. I actually had the most pleasant vacation ever, with the help of Ahmad the manager who helped me arrange all of my site seeing trips to Jarash, Dead Sea, Petra and many more at most reasonable prices. The hotel was moderate but had 5 star service. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. My stay included breakfast, even though it was simple but it was just right. Special thanks to Ahmad :)

I stayed a few hours, had a shower and left for the airport but the hotel looked nice. The room was tiny but clean and neat. Found a place to park the car closer to the hotel. It is very close to downtown.

The hotel is above expectations in terms of price performance and its location is very good, especially its employees are helpful in every way. If you come to Amman, I highly recommend this hotel.

The receptionist was very pleasant and would come out of his way to satisfy us. The hotel is very close to the city centre (on a very busy street) Unfortunately, the toilet in our room had no ventilation (or a window) - so the only air flow was to the bedroom. This was especially unpleasant since we all got the Traveller's Sickness.

Water from the shower is leaking everywhere. And it is also little bit noisy because the windows are not isolating outside noise well enough.

Hotel has everything I need, a bed (in which I Slept very well), breakfast and a shower. Had some issues with the cold and warm water but it was fixed in a few minutes. Perfect location. Friendly staff. I have nothing to complaint about.

We reserved 5 rooms for 11 person through Agoda 10 days before arrival and it was.confirmed.   But!! when we arrived hotel, they informed us that they have only 3 rooms available and they will add more extra bed for us. We could not accept and left the hotel. Very bad experience in the way they are not honoring the guest reservation.

I was there only for the PCR test so I could not visit the rooms but the hotel seemed very clean and spotless. A special mention to the owner that is the sweetest and most helpful man in Amman. He helped us in every way, thank you very much!

Fine place, especially for the price. The negative reviews expect luxury for a basic price.

the location is good, at a walking distance to down town and citadel as well as the roman theater, though on a busy road. You better asked a quite room without balcony, if you mind the noise. The building was an old palace and has huge rooms and is very spacious, thought it wouldn‘t mind to undergo an overall renovation. Saif - the receptionist - is very kind, welcoming and willing to help you in every possible way…

The location is really good. The breakfast and cleanliness overall can be improved. Seif and Ahmad are awesome guys, they will remain your friends forever! I totally recommend if you are looking a place to sleep in Amman!

Hotel is near center, next to market street. Everything you need you will find there! We stayed for 5 nights and loved it! Room is big enough, cute restroom, fridge, TV. Even more positive part of this hotel is Seif, very friendly and honest receptionist! What ever you need, he will help you!!

The hotel location is somewhat mixed, on one hand nearby to many things that you want like the downtown, citadel, however it is next to a flyover and a busy road. In my experience, there was loud music until late into the night. Room is a quite a disappointment, even considering the price. Wouldnt recommend if you are traveling with families. Sheets looked like it has not been washed where hairs can be found. Facilities also lacked, refrigerator is shared in the common kitchen. Tv is out of question. Seif the host did try his best to help accommodate whatever you ask for, but the hotel itself does not help his cause. Probably for a solo traveler who dont care too much and just want to save money, the rooms here can be recommended and from a walking distance, you can reach the downtown

Quaint, locally-owned hotel, offering Jordanian charm, lovely breakfasts and affordable accommodation in the middle of Amman's city centre. Ahmad and the staff were very friendly, always up for a chat, and incredibly helpful in arranging transportation, SIM-cards or anything else you'd need. Don't expect a spa-resort, but definitely very much recommended if you're up for a more authentic experience and a good chat!

One hour before checkin we got message that our reservation is cancel due to some electricity problems. Hotel stuff promised us other place to stay with similar standard and price. Hotel which we got was unacceptable, it looked like ruin. Hotel looked like someone homeless sleeped there. After we refused this option, we didnt got any support from hotel stuff. I understand that situations like that might happened but only what we wanted was small help to not be left alone in a foreign city. Finally we were forced to book some other hotel with almost double price. We dont recommend this hotel and their workers.
