Hi Friends, I am writing this review about my experience as a patient in this College. You will be seeing so many 5-star reviews about this college but its mainly from the students or alumni of this college and looking at the 5-star review many patients gets misguided that this Dental College is good as far as treatment of the patient is concerned. I am writing this with full confidence, this college is WORST as far as the treatment of the patient is concerned. I had visited this college on 14-Sept-2019 for dental implant as implant in private dental clinic is too costly (about Rs.25,000/-). Dr. Prateek Pal took my case and the treatment began. At that time, I was told I will have to pay Rs.7,000/- for the implant of my tooth no.6 of upper right jaw. I made the payment of Rs. 4000/- as advance as the amount of Rs.7,000/- told to me was much less than Rs.25,000/- which I had to pay outside. After that I had to visit at-least 15 times to this college. Everyday he used to take some measurement and I was asked to go back. Again, in the next appointment, he used to say the measurement was not taken properly and will have to take the measurement again and the progress was dismally low. Dr. Prateek was not at all concerned to give me appointment when I should come and visit the hospital for treatment. Then, the COVID situation came and the matter was suppressed for a long 1.5 YEARS. I think he even had forgotten that he has a patient whose tooth he needed to implant. Then, I messaged him on his WhatsApp number requesting for the treatment. Again, the treatment began from 16-June-2021 but the attitude was same. I was informed that the fee for implant has increased and I will have to pay additional Rs. 8000/- for the treatment. Now the total fees turned out to be Rs. 12,000/- . I agreed as I had no option but to say yes as some part of the work was done by him and I was apprehensive in changing the Doctor. I used to visit the dental college and the process of measurement and re-measurement continues. In the month of July, I was informed that he had his exam so he could not attend his patient. Finally, on 15-Sept-2021, I messaged him on WhatsApp if he can kindly schedule an appointment for me. Finally, he agreed to call me on 18-Sept-2021 which was his last day in the College. He tried to place the tooth but the tooth was not fitting well. He called the person who makes the tooth based on the measurement given by the doctor. He was trying to fit the tooth in my jaw and Dr. Prateek was looking at it. That person used the grinding machine to reduce the size of the tooth, the upper ceramic coating was totally removed and finally the grinded tooth without proper ceramic coating was placed in my jaw. Even after this type of treatment, I paid him the entire Rs. 12,000/- as his fees. Now, I want to ask the people in general and the management of the Dental College in particular, is this the way you treat your patient? First of all, I can say it with full confidence that the patient who is visiting your college is not from a rich family. Had he been so, he could have got the treatment done from a nice private clinic. Secondly, If a middle class or lower middle class patient is paying his/her hard money to you, is it not your moral duty to treat him nicely so that he feels good. I don’t know how good or bad this dental college is as far as the education is concerned but I can say, its pathetic as far as the treatment of the patient is concerned. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS COLLEGE FOR TREATMENT. If any person is unable to afford the private clinic fees, I will request you to visit any government dental college and get the treatment done. EVEN THOUGH THIS COLLEGE IS A PRIVATE COLLEGE, THE TREATMENT IS WORSE.

My mother had her first visit at this hospital a month ago for gums cleaning. Dr. Vivek attended her and he was absolutely professional, treated mom well within a day and referred her for RCT / excavation of cavies to department 206. Mom got an appointment of May 2023 but on insisting to give her an early date (due to her tooth pain) one doctor agreed to take her case. This poor review is primarily for the second doctor, the most RUDE, Unruly, Misbehaved doctor that I have ever met in my life - Dr. Aisha Shaikh. She started with cleaning her molar (next to wisdom tooth) and did a temp filling, two seatings were already done. She told mom to take pain killers, resist pain and don’t brush or eat from that side. And now starts the pain of requesting her to complete the process, since mom already started feeling pain on the other side of the mouth due to continuous chewing. She kept of moving the given appointment week by week. Even after requesting and explaining her about the pain, she replied in single word NO and kept pushing the dates. I had to approach Senior doctors in department 206 to complaint about her behaviour and wrong attitude towards her patients. Explained the entire situation to Dr.Ambar Raut and the gentleman acted immediately asking Aisha to complete the work, on the open tooth so I can get rest of the process done outside. Upon knowing that we approached senior staff to complaint about her, she agreed to take another seating (but throwing an attitude of doing us a favour). She inserted a mirror to check in mom’s mother and started yelling at her that why we complained and did not reach her for early appointments, so on & on and when mom wanted to call me for help, the lady said “don’t call your daughter to create a sceen out here, i don’t have time for all this”. She unwillingly completed (which is still not complete process) and we left the hospital with big question, if this charitable hospital is actually serving the humanity or Troubling them to the extreme end?? AUTHORITIES- please take a note of such students who will turn Doctors tomorrow and will ruin the name of college or institute they graduated from. I urge you to thoroughly check your own students and don’t issue them licenses to practice in outside world if “They leave the patients at their Mercy”!!
