The bread here is something from another world! We tried the Jordan dish Mansaf and found it better than it looked! The homemade knafeh is simply delicious. The service is very friendly and nice and prices are for tourist, but there is not much you can do about it! It is definitely a place to try out!

We liked the vibes here. The arch and quaint decorations were nice to see with the Arabic lamps. The service was friendly and prompt. It's clearly popular with tourists. The food was good. Maklubla upside down chicken was 10JD, lamb chop 9JD and shish taug 8JD, the soups were good from 3 to 4JD. Pomegranate juice 4JD. For three of us the bill came to 52JD. The freshly baked flat bread was superb.

Very nice restaurant with a wide variety of food options. The hummus was really smooth and served with freshly baked bread which was amazing! They serve many Jordanian dishes so it's definitely a good place to visit as a tourist to try the authentic taste. All the staff members were very kind☺ Especially recommend camel kebab and maclouba.

Amazing service amazing food! Found this restaurant on Google map while walking around down Petra, and was amazed by the lamb chops! One of the best I have ever had. It was my first time having kamel kebob, delicious. But just tasted like a delicious grilled meatballs 🤣 next time I will get shish kebob! Definitely will want to come back!

We could easily book a table for 20 people without any problems. The attendants were very arranging, explained the menu very well for international travelers, and were very nice. The food got served very quickly and we even got the opportunity to watch/make the bread by ourselves 😍. Their meals are very tasteful and in a good quantity, especially the local ones which were simply awesome 👍

Incredible Dinner after a long afternoon hiking in Petra. Food was delicious! They took our teenagers outside to help make the bread they make fresh for your table. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Restaurant has very nice interior. Service very kind. However the most important food was not so good. For this price we were expecting something better.

One of the best restaurants in the vicinity of Petra. Delicious food and rustic ambiance. Very hygienic restaurant with a very welcoming staff. A bit pricey but then that’s expected of a tourist place. No complaints though. Try the mansaf and mixed grill. Both are awesome.

Delicious food, amazing service and affordable prices. We even got to park right in front of the restaurant. I highly recommend, especially the appetizers and the kunefe were delightful.

Al Wadi Restaurant is a great place in Wadi Masu to sample a taste of Jordanian hospitality. The service here was super friendly, and the item that impressed me most was the huge round of freshly-baked flatbread, which was thin yet crispy and chewy and reminded me of a bubbly naan. This went perfectly with the appetizers we ordered including the creamy hummus topped with olive oil, and the kibbeh, four little fritters made of bulgur stuffed with ground lamb meat. But the item on the menu that stood out to me as a “must-try” was the Camel Meat Kebab! These kebabs were made with ground camel meat mixed with herbs and spices, and the kebabs were super juicy and had a subtle flavor. The set of three kebabs were served with pita bread spread with tomato paste, onions, and herbs, along with grilled onions/tomatoes/peppers, a salad of chopped parsley and onions, and a tomato-based sauce on the side for dipping. Everything we had here was tasty, but the standouts for me were the fresh bread for its deliciousness and the camel meat for its sheer novelty.

Just had amazing dinner in the restaurant tonight. The staff were super friendly and kind to us and our two children. Great food with big portion, the price was reasonable. Their home made bread is the best we have had in Jordan so far (been here for nearly a week now). It is located in wadi musa, a 5 mins taxi drive from Petra, but it is definitely worth visiting. The taxi drivers here are friendly too, Hussien took us to this lovely restaurant after our original choice of restaurant was fully booked. Strongly recommend it to visitors to Petra.

Delicious food, great atmosphere, super friendly staff! The Arabic flat bread is made on the spot in a tandoor oven and is amazing with hummus and mutable! Super recommend

Petra is Jordan’s leading tourism draw/sight, and without the doubt that would mean a portion of restaurants are designed to be “tourist traps” with high food prices in contrast to the average or standard pricing and portion sizes. Digging for restaurants that are a bit lower can be easier through speaking with local residents or effective Google Maps research (which I had neither). Al Wadi Restaurant is one of them. From 8jd for a small size of makloube - which is overpriced in Jordan standards. Other dishes seem to follow through with the overpriced prices too and portions that are less “Jordanian portion sizes” and more “small, Western portion sizes with high prices”. The makloube wasn’t stellar either - very average tasting and one of the least delicious makloube I had in Jordan in my years of living here. There is a vegetarian section that includes moussaka, makloube, al wadi speciality, gallayeh, and the standard mezze dishes. Tha taboon/tannour bread was good. The restaurant is located in one of the busy areas of Wadi Musa - that can be quite loud in the evenings, including when I had dinner there. There is both indoor (non-smoking) and outdoor (smoking) seating. The restaurant is very often frequented by tourists who aren’t very knowledgeable about food prices in Jordan too. Customer service is alright.
