    1941년에 경부선이 복선화하면서 상류쪽에 복선철교가 건설됨에 따라 칠곡 왜관철교(낙동강구철교)는 인도교로 사용되기 시작하였다. 6·25전쟁 때 폭파된 다리로 호국의 다리라고도 한다.

    다리를 연결 시키기 보단 끊어진 채로 두는게 더 의미가 있다고 생각함 전쟁의 아픔을 더이상 느낄 수 없어서 조금은 실망
