Hammond has been excellent for the last two years with our older dog and we have loved the staff. However, after bringing our 9-week old puppy in for a first time visit, we will not be back. Our puppy had Giardia, but the vet would not listen. After two days, the vet failed to properly test or diagnose the sickness. Hammond told us to just wait it out, and it might be Parvovirus if it doesn't get better. We went to Woodland West for a second opinion and received a confirmed diagnosis for Giardia in under 30 minutes. I recommend you do the same. In addition, the vet did not perform an initial puppy wellness check for her responsiveness, heart, and lungs. They also did not treat for heart worms or recommend at-home options.

So thankful for Dr. Johnson and her staff. She really went above and beyond for our dog when he was very sick. I highly recommend Hammond Animal Hospital. Dr. Johnson is amazing!

I took my dog Piper there when she was sick, they were very caring, love their staff. I found them when my son worked for them. They even called me a few days later to check on her and make sure she was getting better.

Hammond Animal Hospital is wonderful. Their staff is kind, professional, and caring. I have taken my pets to Dr. Johnson for twenty years. They were with me when my dogs ate mouse poison in the middle of the night, or during seizures, and even when we’ve had to euthanize our beloved furry friends. I am so grateful for their service and expertise. They deeply care about the animals and clients.

My dogs have been going to Hammond Animal Hospital for the last couple of years. We love Dr. Johnson. It’s evident that she loves not only our animals, but also her own. She is a great veterinarian and we trust our babies with her, which we would not do with just anyone. Hammond Animal Hospital is also very affordable and doesn’t try to suggest anything that your animals don’t need. We love Hammond!

This is the best Veterinary Hospital in town. Dr. Johnson goes beyond the call of duty to make sure your pets are well cared for. She is so brilliant truly! My Chow Chows love her. They always want to go say hi!

I brought my dog here once and she came back with a scratch on her nose from the CAGE they were keeping her in. The girl in the back acted like she didn’t care and like it was okay for my baby to have wounds from keeping her in a literal cage. Not to mention toys and a blanket i brought did not get returned to me. I do not recommend them for boarding at all.

They are always very welcoming and pleasant to work with :) they take great care of our baby!

Dr Johnson and her staff are unbelievable- it’s obvious how much they care for all animals and are also so compassionate for us owners! I wasn’t a patient when my golden died unexpectedly I rushed him to Hammond since they were so close and had a good reputation and they helped me Instantly and without questions and no rush so I immediately switched to dr Johnson and am so grateful I did. She and her staff are hilarious and fun and easy to work with/schedule with/discuss dogs with and a great vet! We love Hammond and are so grateful for the amazing caring staff and awesome care of my pups!!
