We popped in here for breakfast one morning. Great choices and delicious coffee. They had some outdoor seating as well. Gets busy as morning goes on, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Happy to support local coffee shops over Starbucks while on the islands 😊

Great spot for awesome coffee (or non coffee) drinks in the morning or afternoon. A decent breakfast selection for both light or a little more substantial food. Mac nut latte was perfection (not too sweet, perfect slight smooth nutty flavor) and the Thai iced coffee was similarly delicious (smooth, not overly sweet.. perfect). So far the lemon ricotta pancakes and grilled ham and egg have been our favorite breakfast items. Everyone was super pleasant. We got there just after opening and it got a bit busy around 6:30am but not overly where I would say don't go, they are pretty quick with the drinks. It's worth it. We will for sure be coming back.

Little monkey smoothie was good. Pacific passion was good. Pink dragon was just ok - a bit runny, more like a juice almost. Wife really liked the caprese sandwich, Cubano was good, but only if you really like mustard - it's heavily on there, kids liked the waffle and the grilled turkey club.

Incredible find for healthy breakfast on the go! Loved the surfer girl and cinnamon roll. Fast service but also can order ahead on their mobile app (note the pastries are not available there). The little monkey was a good smoothie start to the day to replace coffee. They also boast delicious coffee drink and other pastries. Usually can find local street parking.

A great spot to start your morning. I always order online and pick up since it gets busy quick. We went here several times on our vacation and my husband was in love with it. We tried their açaí bowl, surfer girl sandwich, breakfast burrito, and other items. They were all tasty! We also tried their coffees. I enjoyed all of it!

So so tasty. Worth the wait. So many good options, the staff was super friendly and the food divine such good flavors. Would love to go back.

Java Kai is a must whenever we visit Kauai 🌺…..this coffee shop is the BEST on the island!! Love the vibe & the food is BOMB 💥!!! The breakfast sandwiches & the Waffles are so delicious 👌🏼& coffee drinks too! I also tried the tasty Matcha Man Go smoothie! *Also just a heads up, you might have to wait a bit for seating if you have more than two in your group.

They had a really good spicy chai that you could get hot or cold. They also have a lot of great breakfast options like granola and yogurt as well as a nice array of baked goods.

Get your coffee here every day!! Best coffee on the island, plus delicious food to eat!! Will be very busy so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it!! Love this place so much, I've purchased their espresso beans for my home coffee daily! Great and quick service! You won't be disappointed!

Great food and tasty drinks! The Belgian waffle was crunchy and fresh. The burrito was savory and filling too. All the food is delicious! Order around back, and here is seating around the side and front. Arrive early this place is popular!

I would go back for the macadamia nut coffee. Cute spot with lots of good options on the menu. There was always a line and wait so we ordered online and picked up which was faster. $10-$15 salads and wraps. Nice shop next door too

Best place for coffee. Amazing breakfast sandwiches and ricotta pancakes. We came here almost everyday, was only disappointed 1 day because they were out of croissants, sandwich was still excellent though. Best ricotta pancakes I’ve ever had, moist and fluffy.

Extremely delicious for breakfast!! Everything we ordered was fresh and nicely prepared. I recommend the Tropical Waffles. So delicious!!! The place itself is beautiful and there is a small shop next to it with cute little souvenirs.

Great coffee, food, and service. We went pretty early every day we went here (between 6 and 7) so the wait wasn't so bad. Regardless, highly recommend Java Kai... their mochas are so good & you can't go wrong with any of their breakfast items :)

This was the best breakfast spot around! We got 4 entrees between 3 of us because we wanted to try so many different ones. They were all very delicious and unique. I also got a golden milke latte that was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend this place as a place to get breakfast or lunch, just arrive early as it will get busy around 8:30-9am

Wonderful cafe!! We had a good, filling breakfast here on a day filled with activities on the island. The croi-sean-wich & the dilly egg sandwich were both great!! The bagel was so fresh, the best we've ever had!! The coffees were good too. We met a few other travelers who said they've been having their breakfast at Java Kai regularly over years of travel! Nice!!

This is a really cool spot and we went multiple days on our trip. We enjoyed the sit-down food and the takeout when we were on the way somewhere. The coffee was awesome. Be prepared for a line at some points of the day, but for the most part we were out of there in 15 minutes. It was always worth it! Also open nice and early for those of us with some jet lag.

This place is ADORABLE! I forgot to take more photos and I’m kicking myself for it. But we tried the banana bread, a coconut breakfast bar, macadamia nut coffee, surfer girl breakfast sammy, and the bahn-mi (pictured) The line to order was out the door and food wait times were high, but we were told as much and the whole experience was worth it! Check this cuties cafe out the next time you’re in Kauai!

We went a couple of times for breakfast and coffee during our stay! Great place to grab something quick. The staff is friendly. The pastries are delicious. The savory breakfast options could be more elevated for the price according to me. We had better options in other places in Kauai.

Favorite breakfast spot, great smoothies, yummy breakfast—waffles were a bit sweet, however we enjoyed everything else we tried! Great Thai coffee, Mac Nut Latte, Black Lava Smoothie (light, creamy, not sweet). Favorite food was the Power Bowl. Went here multiple times during our stay. Grab your food and then sit in the nearby beach to enjoy!

Visited twice. The first time was EXCELLENT. The coffee was great, and the food we ordered. Bagels and lox and the egg avocado 🥑 sandwich. Fantastic customer service! 👏 Today, ordered coffees and the gal at the register needs some customer service training or needs to be out of customer service 🤔. Otherwise, I highly recommend
