Beef and brisket pho was pretty dang good! I usually travel down to Kapolei to get some good pho. Now I know I can get some close to home. The portion was good and they give an enormous amount of vegetables (which I love). Prices were decent too! I came here before, a loooong time ago and didnt really like it. Now, I love it!

It was ok. Be prepared to go into a hole in the wall. I have nothing against hole in the wall restaurants, sometimes those are the best ones.... however when you sit down and your not sure if your dishes are cleaned properly or the food was cooked and prepared in sanitary ways, that's when I have the problem. They brought out appetizer with no dishes to share with the table, spoons looked and felt nasty I asked for extra veggies in my phó and they brought it on the side (I think they forgot), the meatballs for the meatball phó had the texture of liver or something like that (squishy/spongey, yet firm). My husband had the steak one and his wasn't great either so I know it wasn't just me getting the wrong one. There are Phó restaurants all over the place, keep looking.

The score for this restaurant is undeservedly high, possibly due to its remote location on the Island. As a somewhat serious Phò connoisseur (Africa, America, and Asia), I've had better Phò even in Côte D' Ivoire West Africa. The Phò and sandwich are just barely edible...it's been decades since I couldn't finish a bowl of Phò! ☹️. To their credit: Friendly hostess, and fresh vegetables.

We got beef & meatball pho and teri beef rice plate. This place was really yummy. I wanna say this is the first restaurant pho I've finished! It hit all the right spots. Hubby loved the teri beef and said it was better than he expected! Definitely coming back here!!!

Service was outstanding, but the pho could be much better. Broth is ok. Those who are saying it’s the best broth probably haven’t had much pho before. I’m Vietnamese. For the price, they are lacking in the meats option. The brisket was cut extra thick and hard to chew. Pho noodles were not fresh. They did give a lot of vegetables though and I recommend the Vietnamese coffee it’s very strong. Restaurant is a little cramp.

I'm probably (ok, definitely) immature but i got a good laugh at the tshirts they sold (I had to buy one lol; at least as of when I got mine the women's cut tshirts were $17 and the men's were $15, fyi). I tried the spring rolls with bbq chicken and the garlic shrimp pho and both were really tasty! I didn't get a picture of the spring rolls because I had just been walking around the beautiful botanical garden that's like a block away from this place (so i had worked up an appetite at that point) but they were fresh and light with really flavorful chicken and dipping sauce and a lovely fresh herb flavor. The pho (which i only got a picture of before i dressed it up with all the herbs and whatnot) was huuuuge, even for the small size (i could've happily split it; i ended up leaving like half uneaten because i couldn't eat another bite - so sad!). The broth was flavorful and light, there were plenty of shrimp in it, and plentiful toppings of the usual variety at the table. I kept sipping the broth long after i got too full to eat any more noodles. The staff were really nice and attentive. The place itself has a bit of a hole-in-the-wall feel to it but those are usually the best places so don't let that dissuade you. We had a bit of a "cold snap" that week (60s and 70s lol) so a bowl of hot soup was apparently on everyone else's minds too (the place, already really small, was packed and had a 15-min wait). It was worth it, though. Please check this place out if you're in the area. Next on my wishlist is the taqueria next door!

We ordered oxtail pho and combination pho and an order of shrimp roll. We we're so hungry and excited to eat dinner but then something not right. My husband says the oxtail pho taste like soap. Then i tried the combination, i say, yes kinda taste like soap. But then i tried the shrimp roll and it have more noodles than the shirmp and vegetables. I can tell the noodles taste like soap. 😟 so disappointed!

The customer service is greatl! but otherwise the pho beef and the veggie spring rolls were not good not sure how they have so many highly rated reviews the broth has no original flavor and the peanuts sauce is different not in a good way. I love pho but I was pretty disappointed with the cost and the over all taste of the meal was disappointing. I did not finish my 15$ pho. Won’t be back.

Any time my body or my soul is hurting I go and get the chicken pho. Their broth has healing properties better than Tylenol. They also have a homemade chili sauce that just brings the whole experience on a new level. I also love their tapioca, but sometimes they run out which is the biggest disappointment for my day (good thing they have the pho to make me feel better).

All I can say is that this place is Pho-King Pho-nominal. I've lived in ALOT of different places and I've had alot of different bowls of pho.The thing people don't understand about food around the world is that the emphasis on ingredients is going to differ everywhere you go.It is still the same great dish even with a bit more staranise or basil or whatever each place chooses to make their dish their own. Also, rule of thumb,if it's a total hole in the wall then the food is gonna be damn good. People have ridiculous standards for resturants and I'm kind of glad, because a little place like this can stay special to those who appreciate just how good the food truly is.Portions are huge and you get Alot for what you pay for.The prices on the picture menu are alittle off but I'm willing to pay the difference because I know the food is exactly what I'm craving.100% my family's new pho spot!

This place is awesome. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The Pho has a slightly sweet flavor, but it's delicious; cooked for 16 hours and is well worth the money. (Not too expensive. Veggie and tofu spring rolls were awesome, too.

My favorite pho place on the island, and that’s saying something because I’ve been to many pho places 🤣

  • 5/5 Brenden B. 1 year ago on Google
Go in here once week sometimes just to get the broth because it’s so damn good. Been all over the island trying pho but this is the best one hands down and lucky for me it’s walking distance.

We got pho (and tapioca pudding - tasty) - huge bowls, big portion of veggies, lots of meat. We took the leftover pho to our hotel room and will have it for dinner tomorrow. I thought that the taste of the broth could be improved, but good pho overall...

Pho King is phoking delicious. Best Pho I’ve had on island so far. Sometimes the noodles can be a little overcomes but they is ample portion size. I can never finish it all.

I have been craving pho for a while. I heard about this place from a friend and it doesn't disappoint. The serving size is huge and the broth is rich. For those of you like me who like tendon in your pho, it's so soft it melts.

Food and service was excellent. We had delicious rice noodles soups and rice plates. I would definitely go again to try other items in the menu such as their curries.

This restaurant owner should be ashamed of himself naming his restaurant racist slur and calling it authentic Vietnamese. You have no respect for your own language and Vietnamese kids get bullied with this. Shame on you

Awesome. Just Pho King awesome. Sister in the front took care of me and was patient enough to customize my order. Can't have the noodles but a friend of mine suggested to ask for a lot of bean sprouts. As I ordered she saved me from spending more doing ala cart and promised to get me a lot of vegetables. She came through and I ended up having enough to share someone else. Again, pho King Awesome.

Amount of food they give you is insane. Big portions are awesome and you can’t complain about it if the food is good but in this case it wasn’t because the flavors were off. I hate to be the person who wastes food so I normally eat it all or take things to-go but this is how much food my husband and I wasted. The broth was so bland that I asked for extra limes and squeezed at least 8 of them in which still didn’t taste right. We also got spring rolls which was so mushy inside and threw me off with the texture. Everything about this experience didn’t feel authentic. I honestly think the ratings for this restaurant is so high because most people living on/around base are not familiar with authentic Asian foods. Same goes for other Asian restaurants around base. It’s a trip but if you want something close to authentic Asian flavors, go out to town. Added an extra star because the waitress was very friendly and sweet.
