Food was okay. Getting to the restaurant is inconvenient. The bathroom is broken. They don’t have a seating area to wait for to-go orders. If you sit in the other room, you will not be able to hear your order number being called. The absolute worst part about this place is how unsanitary they are with the desserts. There was a fly in there landing on all the desserts and when I told the guy, all he did was shoo it out and close the case. Maybe not a big deal to some but it’s a big deal to me and it SHOULD be a big deal to any restaurant. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Enjoyed the last day of the miso garlic chicken plate and it was great! It was on the menu the entire month of October and I’m sad to see it go. Wish it could be a regular menu item! Very tasty. Can’t go wrong with anything miso flavored! Chicken chopped up to nice bite sizes and perfect amount of miso garlic sauce. Rice was decent today. Didn’t add too much water this time - look forward to it coming back next time. Nice meal to end a very rough day. If you haven’t tried it, when it comes back I highly recommend you give it a try! Update: 12/24/2022 Family had Turkey plate and Ham/ Turkey Combo plates for Dinner tonight. We get this every year. Available 2 days in November & 2 days in December 24/25 Comes with two scoops rice, corn and tiny mini scoop of stuffing. ( I made a huge pot of cornbread stuffing to make up for it and a pot of mashed potatoes for good measure. This meal will double for tomorrow too! ☺️) Supposed to come with tiny container of Cranberry Sauce but they forgot one 🙄 with the high prices please don’t forget the already little things!!! Good thing i had a gourmet cranberry with port in a glass jar at home! Meal was Good. Ham came with a rum raisin sauce. Im not a raisin lover but my mom loves it. Would recommend anyway though. Available only till tomorrow. Make sure to check your order to see if you have your cranberry. Update:01/14/2023 My mom wanted to try the Monthly Special today for dinner, the Furikake Miso Salmon Katsu Plate. She said it was pretty good but could use more miso flavor and less salty Furikake. My husband had the Chili Spaghetti Plate with Garlic bread, extra rice, 2 pcs. Chicken and french fries. 😅 He loved it, and I enjoyed the Korean Fried Chicken and Chilli mixed plate. I ordered it with the beanless chili and extra sauce for my Korean Chicken. I traded my husband my two scoops rice and mac salad for one garlic bread and also ordered a side order of fries 😄 it was delicious! Online ordering makes everything much easier and your order is much more accurate. 👍 Had a bad experience with Zippy’s so i had made a complaint. They listened and took care of the Situation to make everything right again. Feels good to know that even though the are a Huge Business, they understand locals keep them going and they care about our experience with them! Support local 👍 Update: 04/04/2023 My favorite Miso Garlic Chicken is Back and got to enjoy it today. Good as ever. Sauce is what really makes it delicious. My Husband like the Sweet Sour Sparerib plate and my mom liked the other special of the month, the Pork Eggplant. Said the eggplant was plentiful and soft. Good flavor. We ordered fries which were crispy and hot this time so that was good and bakery items. Apple Napple, Coconut Napple and Glazed Donut because the chocolate filled ones were sold out. Sorry i didn’t take pics for that!! But took a pic of the Miso Garlic Chicken this time before i ate it like all like the many times before 😄 Update: 07/07/2023 Tried the New Chicken Katsorean Plate today. Special available thru the month of July. It was pretty good! Same sauce used in the Korean Chicken plate but instead on their Chicken Katsu plate. Very tasty. I got mine with extra sauce. My Husband had the Chicken Katsu plate. He said it was good too. Onion rings I tried were pretty good as well. Warm and crispy. Fries are usually a hit or miss. This time was a miss. Floppy. My mom had the chicken long rice. Stingy on the portions with that plate. You can’t tell in the picture because its spread out but it really wasn’t alot. That needs improvement too. Overall was a good meal. Definitely try out the Katsorean Plate if you haven’t tried it yet and if your fans of the Chicken Katsu plate or the Korean Fried Chicken plate or if you just wanna try something new. 😄 08/04/2023 Every year I look forward to 3 Specials and August is the month for one of my favorites. The Shoyu Pork Plate. Tender Pieces of pork drenched in a sweet shoyu based sauce that’s not salty at all. Very nice flavor. Highly recommend it! 😋

Convenient location. Near the Wahiawa General Hospital. Food today was tasty but that depends on what you order. I knew dish like the bee tomato on Wednesday January 6th it's not one of my favorite combinations of flavors.

I sometimes stop here after work on my way home around 11pm. They close at midnight. Last time I came my food was not hot at all but I thought it was a fluke. I returned tonight and ordered a chili / Korean fried chicken mix plate in person and it was ready within 2 minutes which I found odd for fried chicken. I immediately sat down at a table to enjoy it within a minute of receiving it. The chili was maybe 110 degrees at best, the chicken was about the same if not colder. No one likes cold food. Hottest thing on the plate was the rice which is usually the least hot when you order plate lunches. I understand that they are closing in an hour and may be starting to clean up/ put things away but it's against the state of Hawaii health department to keep or serve any hot items below 135 degrees. That's how people get sick. I think management needs to make some surprise visits later in the evening with thermometer probes or some inspectors may.

Zippy's Wahiawa serving staff in the restaurant really needs more help. There was only 1 server in the restaurant and I think a manager helped a few times. From the time we walked in to the time we got our check and left, 2 hours had almost passed. Please send more support staff so the customers can have a better dining experience, so the staff can do what they do best!

Reliable local diner with good food that is satisfying and tastes like home! If you're a tourist, you have to try a zippys to get the local feel!

The customer service was wonderful. We had an excellent server; however the food was just okay. We wanted to see what all of the hype was about, but it was literally food I could cook at home.

We wanted to have something that the locals will eat so Zippy's here we come. The last time I ate at Zippy was over 15 years ago... they still had multipage paper menus. Service - 4 /5 Front of House - we were greeted and seated quickly Wait Staff - friendly and quick in getting our orders taken and out; but did not come back offering drink refills. Food: 3/5 Korean fried chicken and chili mixed plate $15.40. Dish only had 5 pieces of fried chicken bites. They were crispy and lightly tosses in sweet glaze. Cannot go wrong with chili and rice. I just wished there were more chicken and less chili. See photo for the ratio. Restroom: 3/5 Separate single Male & Female Restroom. You will need a combination to get into the restrooms. The men's room is clean but the toilet has a leak in the fill pipe and tis leaking on to the floor (see photo)... it looks like staff is aware of this and it has been going on for a bit of time. There was roll of Teflon tape near the leak.

Reliable food. Good portion. But if you dine in, They will charge you a fee titled "kitchen charge". Saw that on the receipt and was very confused.

The waitress was fantastic, food was decent, and the atmosphere was homey. Visited because my local friends recommended it. No wonder this is local favorites!

My mom and I will usually order mobile order with curbside pick up on days we are filled with errands and heading to Wahiawa heights. Most times these guys are top notch! By the time I reach Wahiawa from Mililani it says they are ahead of schedule and my order is ready. Someone is running to the car. Today, the order said ahead of schedule but we are still waiting in the car 10 minutes after time said it was ready. I can see through the window from stall 4 and i see four people standing. No line in the take out side and no other stalls in mobile curbside with customers. Disappointed

Zippy's is our go-to place to eat when we want a sit down breakfast with a lot of different choices or when we want to eat out without limiting our choices to burgers, pizza, or a particular cuisine. Zippy's is not a high end place to eat and is more of a chill out and enjoy local favorites without having to dress up or strain your wallet too much. The prices are sort of middle bracket but can run higher than some specialty restaurants depending on what you order. The food is not gourmet by any means. I'd describe their offerings as more like comfort food, especially for those of us who grew up in Hawaii and are very familiar with Zippy's chili, saimin, Zip Packs, etc. Check out the menu and you will get an idea of what they offer and the prices. What I like about Zippy's is some of the locations have long-time staff still working for them. Cory, at the Wahiawa location has probably been there longer than anyone else working there. You will find her down to earth and friendly with a wicked sense of humor at times. We like her a lot and were lucky enough to have her table today.

Gotta love Zippy's. I had the Hamburger steak mini with Mac salad. Perfect portion. Very satisfied. My friend had a Hot fudge sundae and loved it. Highly recommend.

Food was delicious, the place looks and feels like trash. The dessert cabinet is full of flies, which is a common issue as the people behind the counter were talking about how the flies are "back again." You can't get refills and have to ask for a bathroom code, which you would think means they'd at least have toilet paper or keep it clean but you'd be wrong. The only reason I rated it 3 stars was because the food was delicious, even though we ate it surrounded by flies. I'd recommend to go and absolutely no desserts.

We always stop by Zippys when we're in Hawaii for their famous chili. We had the chili omelet and korean fried chicken breakfast. Both yummy..

The only Zippy's I go to anymore as I have found the food there great & elsewhere not up to standards we have become use to especially the Zippy's in Mililani where I had to throw away 3/4's of my zip pac plus I'm a senior age 81 & growing up we did not waste food plus the service was very rude because she was lucky I didn't answer her back like I do my own great grand children so only Wahiawa is where I'll go

I got the zip pac. Delicious food, good portion sizes. Absolutely nothing wrong but i wouldnt go out of my way to eat there. The staff was also super smiley, and welcoming

I had no time to take pictures as i was hypnotized by the ox tail soup and the wonderful aloha welcome from the wonderful staff….. Thank you so much for the scrumptious feast! Celebrating our 10 year old son’s birthday was quite memorable

My family and I and Went to dine in and got a waitress by the name of “Leirieana” extremely friendly and very attentive, my food was a little burnt (I ordered a hamburger steak). I did not want to complain seeing she was the only server in at the time yet she went out of her way to make sure I had a new plate and this time cooked right! She was such a sweet girl and my family and I really appreciated how she went above and beyond to Make sure all our needs were met. I definitely recommend going to this establishment just for the amazing service. (Hamburger steak wasn’t the greatest. But the oxtail soup was delicious) (she recommended we get the oxtail and the Korean chicken) went with both recommendations and they were outstanding! Thank you so much leirieana for being an amazing and outstanding waitress !

Wanted to try it so badly. Waited for an hour and never got noticed. Island time is real. No hard feelings tho. Ate at monkey pod instead. It was awesome. Didn't realize Hawaii had a hood. We found it and it was not as bad as some I've been in. Getting sidetracked here, zippys gets 1 star because I can't rate food I haven't eaten. May be good, but I will never know.

A local place with decent, comfort foods. This is not necessarily meant for the typical tourist. Prices are very reasonable and you will be leaving with a full belly. Staff is fantastic, but this location could use an update.

Korean chicken made with dark chicken meat is great ! Not too sweet and texture in crisp. Chili with beans not displayed was tasty. Portions are huge and very filling!
