😠 The food proportions are TINY. 11 dollars for a spoonful of beans, 2 small street tacos and a scoop of jasmine rice. Very disappointing. Will NOT be returning. No wonder they are never open, they can’t afford to stay open because I’m pretty certain no one is going to pay 22 dollars for 2 taco plates... People often mention burrito, tacos, price, flavor,

Worth a shot, recommend the burrito plate or giant burrito Definitely not the bean and cheese burrito. Thing was tiny

Okay first of all the food here is absolutely amazing, and let me tell you about the family that owns it. I was 21 going through a divorce, staying with friends, and trying to get back on my feet. They hired me even though I couldn’t speak Spanish and gave me a chance to learn and earn money. They took me in like family, fed me, taught me so many valuable lessons, and a lot about cooking good food!!! I can tell you from a point of view many may not get, this family is up at the crack of dawn putting together their dishes for the day, all the meat is cooked on a grill out back fresh, all the salsas, tamales, pico, guac, all of it is homemade. Their food truck was very clean and well maintained. I am forever grateful to have had the experience I did with them! I still to this day make my tacos, burritos, tamales, and tostadas the way this family taught me to!

The food was pretty good, not big enough portions for the price they wanted. But tasty nonetheless! Service was great! Wish they had complimentary salsa instead of the generic Hispanic hot sauces they had sitting in the sun.

Honestly I got myself an Grande chicken burrito and beef just for myself and it was absolutely delicious! It deserves a 5 star in my opinion because the food does have a lot of flavor and portion sizes are about perfect and it's a mom and pop type of place and the owners are very friendly and I support my small family owned businesses. Y'all compare this place to taco bell and its really not fair. Like taco bell dog food for dirt cheap while this place has quality. Only business owners would understand but I'd encourage Y'all to give it a try and those who complain about the price must really see a financial specialist because the price didn't phase me.

Fresh, authentic, and the flavor packs a punch! I ordered just a couple of chicken tacos, which came with a lime wedge and cilantro for garnish. Delicious! Will be back!

Terrible and overpriced. Ordered tacos, the tortillas were straight from the package, cold. La carne had no seasoning, the toppings were half-hearted. The "pico" was all chopped too large. There was white shredded cheese as well, out of a package. Not even queso fresco or cojita, just regular, white cheese. Salsa! There was no "home made" salsa. Your options are tabasco and chulula. Not authentic and just plain lazy.

I get the Chicken Tamale and it is the best tamale I have had on island. People complain about the prices, but suspect they haven't been on Hawaii long, because $15 is on par for MacDonald's and any other fast food. The flavor is amazing, the service is great and the price is on point. Also the best food court option.

The food portions were horrible and completely overpriced. The meat was very salty and the pico was chopped in large sizes. Salsa was awful as well. The shredded cheese on the tacos was a joke. Rice was cold and bland. Would NOT recommend coming here to waste money

This is my 2nd updated review. Got a grande burrito with steak and the burrito was about the size of my hand. Very disappointed. Do not waste your money here. I do not understand how they cannot manage to give ample portions for the price that is paid.

Tiny portions of flavorless Mexican food. Maybe I went at a bad time, but the food was barely room temperature, and just plain bad.

This place is an absolute MESS. I paid 15$ for 4 tacos and only received 3. They were bland and they used American cheese for the top? Lol

My wife and I had lunch here and were pleasantly surprised at how authentic and delicious the food was. She ordered a grande chicken burrito and I got the chicken tamale plate. The flavor of the chicken in both was robust, moist, and had an adequate amount of spice, especially when adding the salse verde (which was surprisingly tasty as most lack in flavor). Even the rice and beans (whole, not refried) had good flavor! Growing up eating tamales every Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's nice to find a place that sticks to the basics and cooks authentic Mexican food. The owner was very nice and had a radiant smile. The price was also agreeable given current food costs and labor required for traditional Mexican cuisine. If you are a fan of Hispanic food, don't want to break the bank, and/or find yourself on Schofield with some extra time, I highly recommend giving Los Comales a chance.

I ate a chipotle burrito for lunch yesterday. The lady recommended it to me . It was by far the worst thing I've ever had to eat here on oahu in 16 years that I've been here . I support mi raza but I feel the food was disrespectful and should not be served to anyone. . They need to re do the menu and work.on the food .

The food *tastes* ok, but is far from ok as far as Mexican food goes. I got the Chile relleno plate. The beans were just beans, the rice was not Mexican rice, and the poblano was soggy and undercooked.

I really enjoy the food here. The steak burrito always delivers . Keep up the good work!
