First the bad, do not book the “town view petite suite” 105 (edited per owner's comment.) It’s smaller than our small camper! The two of us could not get dressed at the same time or use the shower and toilet at the same time as they are the same small space. It’s near the front of the hotel and the window was wonky and we heard full conversations of people walking down the street plus the vehicle noise and the music from the restaurant below. For $500 a night that was really ridiculous. The good: staff is amazing. Location is great. Beach is awesome. Parking is groovy. And the room was clean. ** Owner responded that their website calls this a petite room (I didn't notice that when I booked it) and that they recommend for 1 person. On the website it says 2 people. Just take my advice, spring for another $300 and get the garden view junior suite.

This was a steal of a deal as I booked very last minute (right before my Maui flight). I messaged the host and they were very responsive and helpful with the check-in process. Once checked in, I was immediately taken to my room and then was given a personal tour of the property. The Vana restaurant below is a hidden gem! Great sushi, great atmosphere, and great people. Thursday night there was live music which added to the experience greatly. Well done! I did grab an Uber out to Twin Falls at the recommendation of the evening hostess, however Twin Falls folks said I couldn't go without having a car parked (partially for safety as there's no service to grab a return Uber). I called the front desk and they were extremely helpful in hailing a cab for me. Thank you! The hidden, most exciting experience of this place is the passageway to the private beach entrance. It is a public beach, so don't think you are escaping the public in full. No worries! There's also a private sitting area overlooking the beach and water. You may even find a sea turtle friend like I did. Overall, my experience was excellent. It was exactly what I needed and worth what I paid. If it was the full rate, I may think a bit differently. However, I will have Paia Inn on my list of places to stay next visit to Maui. Mahalo!

The Paia Inn was beyond my expectations. The location was perfect. I had a 5 night stay at the Westin booked and I needed a place for two nights. I also didn’t have a rental car. This was very easy to get to from the airport with a taxi. I was able to walk to restaurants and shops because they were right outside. Also right outside was the beach. My first day I saw several sea turtles. Holly and Jocelyn were the two ladies who made sure my stay was amazing. They embraced the aloha spirit. Then I went to the Westin. My stay was fine. I did have a hiccup there and was surprised as how not Westin like it was handled. On my last day I went back to Paia for a tattoo. I grabbed some of the yummy fragrance body products that they sell in the lobby. Holly was also nice enough to let me store my bag for a few hours. I think the Paia in deserves more stars than my Westin visit. I will absolutely come back and visit and certainly suggest this hotel to anyone I know visiting Maui. Thank you for a lovely memory of Paia. The room was a bit noisy as there was a live band. I was exhausted from tracking. I had read this in previous reviews but was not worried. (They do have a noise machine in the room) They were kind enough to move me and my stay was spectacular.

Due to missing our flight out of Maui, my daughter and I needed to find a place to stay for one night. I didn't want to go all the way back to where we were in Ka'anapali, so I pulled out my phone and asked Google, who led me to Paia Inn. I called to confirm that there was availability and Flo invited us to come by and check it out. We called an Uber and Flo met us at the door, welcomed us in, and gave us a choice of the two available rooms. What a lovely place! The front lobby is bright and welcoming and filled with a spa-like scent. The rooms are clean, cute, and chic with upscale soaps, lotions, and bedding. The decor and lighting are artful, a little boho--a little modern--a lot classy. Upstairs was a small communal lounge with water, coffee, tea, and snacks. Kathrine showed us to the private beach access and we couldn't believe the view! There's a small courtyard with lounge chairs and a small table and chairs. There are beach chairs available to take down to the beach, which is steps away. We sat and watched the surfers for what seemed like hours until the sunset and we went for dinner. The small town of Paia is perfect. Lovely shops and great food. Flatbread Pizza and Paia Market in particular. The next morning, we took advantage of our bonus time and went to the beach until we had to leave. I will be returning to Paia Inn on my next visit to Maui. It was the perfect accident and I'm so glad our flight was delayed and my daughter and I had this experience.

Impeccable vibes. Staff are relaxed and welcoming, personally walking us to the room while giving a tour of the beach, lounge, and gardens. Yes, the rooms are small, which makes sense considering the Inn's location. But there are many common spaces, including a private beach fully stocked with chairs and amenities. Linens and toiletries are luxurious. Walls are filled with original art pieces. There's even a nespresso lounge and aromatherapy. It's all very quietly luxe, and not everyone understands subtlety, which is why I think the Inn has some undeserved reviews. Bring earplugs, as you will get some street noise, but it's worth that for the location. Paia is adorable, 10 minutes from OGG, and a perfect Hana kickoff spot. Stay here!

I intended on staying one night and ended up continually booking more nights because how much I loved this place. Rooms are nice and more charming then a hotel chain. Easy beach access with typically 1-2 turtles hanging out early afternoon with great swimable waves! Parking was convenient and staff was GREAT! It’s located in the heart of Paia with AWESOME food options!

We had a great 1 night stay to be close to the airport after a late arrival into Maui! Everyone working there we met was incredibly sweet and helpful and we will definitely stay there again. The complimentary kombucha was also a nice touch and turned me onto a drink I’ve never tried before!

Charming boutique hotel, excellent location that’s right in the heart of tons of shopping and restaurants in Paia, as well as right at the start of the road to Hana. Yet it feels like a secluded little hideaway. The room we stayed in had a screened in lanai and you have access to a small beach as well as part of your stay. The staff was attentive and helpful. We ate at the attached restaurant one night and had delicious food and drink. Overall, a wonderful stay. I’m only knocking off one star because the rooms could use some serious work in the noise reduction department, or at least rugs between the lovely but loud hardwood floors. Request an upstairs room because staying below someone means you hear every single early morning step, shower, and flush. Roller luggage sounds like a freight train. The bass from the nearby restaurant is also a steady thrum until 11 pm. If you’re after quiet relaxation, this might not fit the bill. I’m glad we stayed for the charm and location but upon returning to Maui I might look for something that felt bit more private and less like a shared house.

Paia is such a cute beach town. A must to see and spend the night in. Paia Inn was the perfect place for this, a cozy environment with a private beach access and an amazing restaurant. Go have a cocktail across the street if you want a different town vibe and come back for some sushi and even more cocktails. The rooms have a great vibe and it helps make everything even more comfortable. The staff are really nice, both for the hotel (receptionists, cleaning staff) and the restaurant. Would have extended our stay another night if a room were to have been available.

Loved this place! It was a very cute, boutique, ocean vibe hotel in the centre of Paia, so a perfect place to stay if you’re thinking of doing the Road to Hana. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms had all the amenities you would need. The hotel had its own private access down to the beach and provided beach towels. Would definitely recommend visiting!
