This was the highlight of our Kauai family vacation - it's a surreal once-in-a-lifetime experience! The staff was so helpful in setting up the reservation and even offered me tips over the phone about rental cars and other island amenities. Talk about going the extra mile! Our pilot was knowledgable and let us enjoy the scenery at our own pace. We did this flight our first morning on Kauai and it was a great introduction to/overview of the island and the pilot gave us some tips about which beaches were the best for our family so we could plan accordingly. We felt safe in the plane and comfortable to ask any questions we wanted. Definitely get the video of your flight - I have already watched it a couple times and am still in awe of the sights we saw. The variation of textures, colors, and breathtaking vistas is beyond description. Just incredible!

We had a wonderful experience with Wings Over Kauai. I thought about a helicopter tour, but I found the price extreme and it seemed like the experience would be extreme as well, but not necessarily in a good way. I didn't want a roller coaster ride, I wanted to see the island from the air and be able to feel calm enough to appreciate what I saw. Wings of Kauai gave me that experience and I took amazing photos! A word that comes to mind is "gentle." I felt like I was floating on air and that night I found myself wishing I could still be up in the air (I can see why people become pilots now). I do not generally enjoy flying but this experience was great. Marcus was an excellent pilot, providing lots of information on the island and instilling the confidence I needed to feel OK! If we come back to Kauai, I would repeat this experience.

Wings over Kauai was a neat experience to do at a reasonable price. We got a little motion sick up in the air and it made it a little hard to enjoy the second half of the trip. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because we did a lot of waiting around. We got at 15/30 sec briefing at check in. There is no need to even show up 30 min early. Not only that the tour started about 2:20 so we almost waited an hour for our tour… it’s a good one and done kinda thing. Kauai is very beautiful!

Hands down, exceeded all expectations! I wish there were 6 stars to rate here! Bruce was our pilot with over 17,000 hours (that’s a quote, not a typo!) flight time. They took safety very seriously, including weight and balance. I’m a pilot myself and would be looking out for safety. My wife and I took the 65 min private tour in their Cessna and the views of the coast, inland valleys and Waimea canyons were astonishing! Pricing is VERY reasonable considering what the helicopter tour charge, and was less than 50% less during our trip. We would recommend, as we did, taking the flight toward the end of the trip as we got a different perspective of all the places we visited (and didn’t). Wings Over Kaua’i was the best.

I loved our flight around the island. Marcus our pilot was very calm and knowledgeable on the things we were flying over. The ride was smooth and there were amazing views. The owner spoke to us and was very friendly and welcoming. We felt safe throughout the entire flight and would do it again. It gives you views that are nothing like being on the ground. You absolutely have to see this island from above.

Marcus is a fantastic pilot and we can't say enough good things about the experience. The flight is worth every penny... we got to see the entire island from all angles. I highly recommend that you do this early in your visit to Kauai, ask a lot of questions and plan your activities from there. Marcus was very knowledgeable about the island and where to go and on what days. We went on our last day, so we didn't get the benefit of his knowledge and experience but it was still a remarkable tour and he did everything to make the flight comfortable. I usually get motion sickness on bumpy flights but has none of that in or 60+ minute flight. Thanks Marcus and all!

Amazing experience with Bruce our pilot ! He gave us a lot of explanations about Kauai. I recommend at 100% !! Also the staff before the flight was very kind. Do not hesitate, let’s fly with them you will enjoy this experience.

My boyfriend and I wanted to see Kauai from the sky, so we chose this company, and are so glad we did. We went with the private tour option, and were the only two. Kauai is breathtaking , and it was a memorable experience. Bruce, the owner, was welcoming and our pilot James had knowledge of the landscapes we saw. I believe this experience is a must do for anyone visiting this island.

We chose a plane over a helicopter to save some money, and there were zero regrets about it. Our pilot was awesome, made great conversation but still took the time to point out the most popular things to look at. Make sure to book the noon flight, all of the helicopters are not flying since it's lunch time! There was no one else in the air the entire hour, it was great!

I did an instructional flight from Wings over Kauai on a Cesna 172. First about the booking: really easy on their internet site and also quick and friendly communication via email. On the flight day, Bruce greeted us, everything was on time. First there was a safety instruction about life jackets etc.. Everything is really safe and highly professional. And then came Broock, she was the pilot. It was very exciting for me, because I actually flew the airplane. Of course, Broock gave instructions: how to use the pedals for rolling, the runway, the start.. and about the indicators for altitude, speed, gyro etc.. This was so much fun. During the flight there are so many beautiful things to see. Actually yau have a look from above from the whole island and the pilot tells you about the landscape, sightseeing points and activities to do. I recommend to do a flight at the beginning of your stay in Kauai, because afterwards you would definitely know what do you want to see and places you would like to visit here. For me this was one of the best experiences in my life. I’m so happy about doing this flight. When I come back to Kauai again I’m going to book a flight one more time.

I was so happy to find this tour. The airbus was a great alternative for someone who is afraid of flying in a helicopter to view the island from the air. Our pilot Matt was excellent. He gave us a smooth flight and an unexpected easy landing for a plane of that type. I felt very at ease. I also cannot say enough about Ellen who took all my calls and questions, helped me with the reservation, and went above and beyond to make sure we could take this flight during our limited cruise day on the island. Kauai is a beautiful island but honestly this review is all about the 5 star customer service I received from every one at Wings Over Kauai. Mahalo

I picked Wings over Kauai when i started to check the reviews and OMG it was Amazing ! From the reservation, to the reminders to the flight, it was Perfect. The team was so nice, we saw more than what i was expecting and the flight was so smooth. My daughter was so impressed during the entire flight ! Thanks guys, it s the best activity we did during our trip ! Amazing souvenirs !!!

Great experience! Flying with Wings Over Kauai was great, and we loved seeing everything from the air! My family of 6 (kids aged 4-10) all loved the plane ride. They had headsets so we could talk to each other, which was an extra hit! And it's such a great value for a family (we were able to have a private tour for 6 for around the same price as only 2-3 of us on a helicopter) I recommend planning this more towards the end of your trip, as you'll be more able to recognize landmarks that you'd visited earlier in your trip.

This was the most unreal and spectacular experience of my life. Wings over Kauai truly went above and beyond and made sure we had the best views of the most enchanting landscapes of Kauai. Our pilot was Matt and he was so great. We had the smoothest flight and and even smoother landing! I cannot recommend this place enough!! If you want to see Kauai in all its glory, Wings Over Kauai is the way to go!!

Great experience! They were organized, friendly and knowledgeable. This is a wonderful alternative if a helicopter ride is out of your budget. You get a longer ride and get to pretty much see the entire island. Biggest difference is that you don’t go as close to the falls as the helicopters, but you’re able to see them just fine. If your party is less than 6 people, it’s worth it to go pay extra to reserve the entire plane so that everyone can sit on the right side.

Our favourite activity in Hawaii. If we had to recommend one thing from our time on Kauai, it would be this flight without hesitation. The views were of the scenery were amazing and a bonus we didn’t expect was having a birdseye view of the whales swimming below! Marcus the pilot doubled up as a fantastic tour guide and we loved the entire experience

We thought about a plane vs helicopter for Kauai and we were so glad we went with the plane, especially Wings over Kauai. The panoramic views were awesome to see and the pilot, Matt, was super friendly and really cared about our experience.

Absolutely breathtaking experience. Our pilot, Marcus, was wonderful. We took our flight on our first full day in Kauai so we could really get a sense of the island. It just left us speechless. The island itself is a special place, but seeing this way really stole our hearts. We can't wait to come back and share it with our two kids. Don't think twice about booking with them. Was an absolutely spectacular tour. Our pilot James was knowledgeable about the landscape and the aircraft, barely even felt the landing. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to complete their Kauai vacation!

What an amazing tour! We really thought about doing the helicopter tour but no need. Our pilot was amazing and took us all over the Napali Coast and even to the other end because the weather cooperated. They were super friendly and Bruce was super knowledgeable and gave us great photo ops and history! Both my wife and I highly recommend them as a must do! We will definitely be back!

If I could sum up this excursion in one word- BREATHTAKING! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we had the best experience. Everyone was so friendly. Ellen was so welcoming and friendly. Captain Jacob was our pilot and was so knowledgeable about the island. You have headsets so you can listen and talk to the pilot. I can’t sat enough about this tour other than it’s a MUST do. You must see Kauai from the air and I would highly recommend Wings over Kauai. We decided on the Cessna which can fit up to 3 based on weight. We only had 2 people so it’s a private tour. The flight was smooth and so enjoyable.

This is a must do in Kauai! We did the tour in the Cessna and it was amazing! Jacob our pilot was awesome. We had never been in a plane this size and felt 100% safe at all times thanks to Jacob. The views you get from this tour are nothing short of unbelievable. It was so cool to see places we had hiked earlier in the week and get such a different perspective. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely flying experience with a great pilot! I am a large person who is often restricted from activities like this, but the pilot and team were willing to find a solution for me to go. I'm very glad I was able to see the beautiful island from above - who knew there were so many shades of green and blue? It was great fun to see some of my favorite spots on the island from above and get a better perspective on the full scope of the gorgeous garden island. If you are on the fence or worried this may be a scary ride - it is not scary at all and you WILL enjoy yourself!

The sightseeing flight over Kauai was one of the most impressive experiences of my life. Everyone who is on Kauai should try this. We felt very safe. The pilot greeted us very warmly and told us many great things about the island. Upcoming turbulence was always announced. We had a really really great experience. We highly recommend this event.
