We were incredibly disappointed here. I cant even begin to describe how flavorless the food was. Anything I say will sound like I'm exaggerating, but we got two dishes and had to ask for salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and lemon just to have some bit of a flavor. How are you that bland with a dish that has garlic and capers in it?! Portions were small.. which is fine considering we did not want more. We watched as other dinners tried their cocktails and food and turned their noses up at it all. Save yourself $71 (2 entrees, no drinks) and get LITERALLY anything else. How do you mess up seafood on an ISLAND

Very disappointed with this restaurant, I went there 2 weeks ago and was overcharged a few days later for over $70, after letting the restaurant know they kept dodging to get me a refund. I still have yet to get one. It’s a shame the fraud that is going on here

Very good fresh seafood restaurant. Nice selection of local seafood. Well prepared and good portions. The Sashimi Tuna apetizer is great, and the Onu with mushroom is very good.

Food - The food was okay. We had fish and chip combo. The fish was really tough I thought. We also had the poke trio which were all tasty but nothing amazing. The french fries were really good though, very crispy. Also their coleslaw was really good too I thought Service - Our server was nice and helpful, so no issues there. Ambiance - Nothing special, just a typical seafood themed restaurant. A little hard to find if you are using google maps or apple maps.

My wife and I shared the "Big Uncle's Combo" fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder. The combo comes with 2 pieces of fish of the day (not the mahi mahi in the normal fish and chips, ours was spearfish), 2 "giant gulf shrimp", 2 pieces of calamari. The pieces of fish were much smaller than I anticipated, but everything tasted really good. See my pic of the shrimp the same size as the fish pieces. Only rating 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price of $32 for the combo and a wimpy serving of fish. Pretty expensive for fried seafood. I enjoyed it, but I doubt I'll be back.

My wife and I have eaton there many times the food is good and fresh but the new owners have really blown it in regards to the menu and prices. $14.00 for a glass of wine. Now when you order fish and chips no coleslaw what is that. Almost all menu items are $30.00 or more. We went for lunch for two of us it was $118.00 two beers poke and a house salad asked for some extra dressing was told there is upcharge for two or three table spoons. Sorry but 5his is not a 5 star restaurant with a view. The bar tenders Malisa and Jesica are the best real professionals. But this place will not be around for very long very poor upper management decisions.

Unko Bruce just recently left. This place was much better under his time. Won't spend another dollar at this place.

Tasty food, lovely setting, excellent service, live acoustic music, generous portions, diverse menu, good iced tea! Neat find on the water, one of the intriguing dining choices at Pier 38. We were asked if we had reservations, we didn't, and were seated within about 10 minutes. Appeared to be many seats available, so maybe they get hopping a bit later. Reservations are easy enough to make, so consider doing so. Also, spacious main dining room and a quieter room off to the side for more private meals. We enjoyed the back room seating and had very attentive service. Beautiful setting for a walk by the water after dinner. Overall, we found Uncle's to be quite a pleasing experience, and think you will, too.

Definitely not the best sea food. Poorly seasoned, and poor customer service. Our waitress did everything she could to provide good service, but she had 9 tables to tend to. The frozen coconut mojito was great if you are forced to come here, however try to pick somewhere else.

Fine dining presented by professional staff with top notch dishes. Highly recommend the Sashimi Bowl and Mahimahi with lobster and oyster sauce. The steamed clams were also choice as was Aunties Mai Tai and the gelato.

Love love love. Wanted a fancy fish place but didn’t want to have to drive downtown to fight traffic and tourists. This is located upper part of Pearl ridge mall far end. Huge place. Beautiful inside (but does smell extremely fishy, so we opted to sit outside). We got there right after opening, so avoided the dinner rush. Menu is beautiful and shows all their high awards for being awesome! Local gem! Got the salmon plate and it was a gluten free celiac salmon lover’s dream😍 Server was outstanding. She was so kind, extremely extremely attentive but not too overbearing like other restaurant servers can be; she clarified that the salmon sauce was totally gf and no flour or nuts for my allergies. Meal was outstanding and delicious. My partner got the seafood pasta and man it looked good (not gf). We tried the oysters from WA state, but not my fav oysters but maybe just the species (extremely fishy and rubbery 😅). All in all 10/10. Highly recommend and affordable too esp compared to the fish prices for much lower quality on island. 🙌🏼 New seafood place close to home!

Such a lovely place to dine. Our Son & Daughter-In-Law took us here while we were visiting them. Was delicious, fresh food and loved it! Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Thank you for such a pleasurable dining experience!

Seafood linguine was probably the most disappointing pasta I've had in a while $45 for what tasted like Barilla pasta with some canned diced tomatoes thrown on top of it. The seafood is where the price mainly comes from, but even that was mid. I couldn't bring myself to eat very much of it, and the server couldn't offer us any kind of discount for it, despite the majority still being on the plate. The fish and chips were raved about by others, but those were also disappointing and bland. Don't waste your money here.

So we are in Hawaii for a big family trip. This place was highly recommended. The food was very good. The clam chowder quite possibly the creamiest with large clam chunks ive ever had. All of the fish was fresh. Waiter did his best to accommodate our party of 15, and only a few things kept it from being 5 star.

Awesome fresh fish restaurant! We had the blackened sashimi salad, New England Seafood chowder Moroccan chicken with cous cous, and calamari steak tonight. Everything was superb. This restaurant is always excellent.

We went here for dinner on New Year's Eve! Good thing we made a reservation because it got quite busy around 7 or so. There's also free parking on site. The food was good - nothing exceptional, but still a nice meal. The dishes probably average around $25 - 30. The service was quite fast!

Ok I have to say this place is actually a 4.5 stars. The only negative was and is the parking. My phone said this place was a little busy and if I had eaten in a group who knows how long I was going to wait. Yes you will wait so be mindful. Lucky for me a bar seat was open. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food came out crazy quicker then I expected. Now at first glance the dish I ordered didn't have that wow look (I would have preferred a tiny bit of a sear to give it that light crunch and extra color) but after the first bite it is the best piece of fish I have had in Oahu (sauce is amazing). Much props to the kitchen and everyone should try it. You will not be disappointed (Fresh Ahi Belly). The dessert (bread pudding) didnt disappoint either. Try this place I can almost say if you like seafood at least a little bit you will find something you can enjoy here.

I celebrated my Father’s Day here with my family and I enjoyed the service from the wait staff. I think my experience with the food would have been better if only I didn’t check the reviews first. Because I checked first, my expectations was set high. But with how busy they were with everyone celebrating Father’s Day I cant blame them. I will suggest tho, to try the haupia flavored gelato dessert! That made my day! Also if parking leaves you lost try to reference my photos. When you drive into the area from Nimitz stay to the right. Near the shipping dock side. There is designated parking. Also good to know to check your bill first. I don’t know if it was because we had a group of 8, but they automatically add tip(gratuity). Might be different for smaller parties.

Really yummy food, our first time there. A bit pricey but all fresh. I really like the garlic ahi, hubby got that. And I got the shrimp scampi. The shrimp was huge! So ono!

Don't let the low class overhang and signage fool you this place is not a dive. The inside seating is nice and spacious (for a more reserved seating ask to be seated on the left side). The staff was wonderful and attentive. I ordered the seafood pasta with alfredo sauce and it was delicious though the garlic bread was a bit too soft and parts were hard almost as if it was microwaved. The Japanese cheesecake was good. The place is great to bring your loved one or spend quality time with a close friend. It is a family friendly environment but I think the cost may not really be worth bringing the children unless they have a separate menu. I will be dining here again.

Onaga and Opah not available. Substitute Opakapaka for Onaga. Sauteed. Not a fan of this particular dish even with lobster meat added as a topping. Cost $35 for that entree. Like the restaurant and location. This visit overall was too pricey. Oddly was still hungry when I left Uncle's. Don't plan to visit again soon. Not ruling out a future visit. Service was good. Overall value was poor.

Very beautiful restaurant, hostess and server was very kind and helpful. Food quality needs some work. Expectations were High and that was shut down quickly. Food had barely any taste. Needed to drown it in salt and Soy Sauce. But the worst part was the time spent waiting. I came in at 5:30 only 1 other family was there and than 2 more families joined. Took us 15 min to eating we finally could pay and leave 7 40. All that extra time wasted was waiting. Over 20 min just to get a box for my food. Over $200 bill for what... oh I know the bread cause that was the only thing we all enjoyed. So I don't believe I will coming back.

We heard about this place next to Gen in Pearlridge from family and friends so decided to go there for lunch today. They were pretty busy but someone welcomed us right away and seated us in a booth. The place feels so nice with the high ceiling and pics of fishing boats all around and flatscreens strategically placed so anyone seated has a view of these. Service was excellent and our food was ready so fast! And everything was sooo delicious and fresh! Hubby ordered the fish and chips and he said it was sooo good! He said he can tell that the fish was fresh and the fries were perfect. I got the poke salad and that was to die for too! The fish was so Ono and the salad was excellent. We will definitely be back soon even though we live on the windward side.
