This was it! A journey I strived for a long time, a journey to connect in the deepest way possible with the water. I successfully absolved an AIDA 2 course, discovering my capabilities and limits, which opened gates to a fundamentally new experience of myself. Gates to the ocean, enacting our million years old marine mammal connection. And Tobias and Neelam made all of that possible! Relaxed and professional, empathetic and wise, insightful, helpful. Tobi and Neelam picked up on all my questions and guided me on a safe, inspiring and instructive journey which transcended the boudaries of my regular vacation experience.

I have spent 6 days freediving with Neelam and Tobi and I'm extremely happy with my experience here . With Tobi's help, guidance and coaching I have improved my freediving skills. I was happy, relaxed and confident and I've reached my goals. Sincere Thank You Tobi. If you're interested in freediving this is the place to go, fantastic conditions, dive site and amazing instructors. You'll even get a free papaya fresh from the tree at the end of the day. I will be back of course, a big big big Thank You to Liquidstate Freediving 👍🙃

I had the privilege of training with Neelam and Toby for a week this year while completing my AIDA3 certification. Neelam’s guidance was instrumental in helping me refine my techniques, particularly in stretching and relaxation of the diaphragm, body, and mind. This allowed me to comfortably and safely reach depths that I had never previously achieved, and I am deeply grateful for not only the expertise and support I received, but the over all good vibes that were enjoyed in the ocean throughout that whole week. Thanks again Neelam and Toby:)

Couldn’t more highly recommend Toby and Neelam as your free diving teachers. My partner and I had no experience free diving and after 4 days we were diving as deep as 20m and feeling very comfortable in the water. We will definitely be visiting them again next time we are in savusavu to learn some more skills. An amazing experience

Had an absolute blast doing the AIDA 1&2 course with Neelim and Toby - I'd never done any freediving before and initially struggled getting the hang of equalising, but they were both incredibly supportive and helpful in educating me about their sport. I was so stoked with the progress I made over the course, and had the best time doing it. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking about giving freediving a go

If I could give this dive school 100 stars, I would. I came to LiquidState as a novice and as someone who lacked confidence underwater. I spent one month working with Neelam, and I was able to surpass all the obstacles (from equalization to depth) under her gentle guidance, kindness and patience. Neelam is an expert and is so in tune with all of her students. She is also an absolute RIOT and has an amazing sense of humor. I never felt judged or rushed, and that she was there supporting me all the way. I couldn’t have landed in a more perfect spot that met my needs. I also spent some time learning from Tobias, Neelam’s husband, who is a Waterman in every sense of the word. He is an expert and has an infallible connection to the ocean which I found incredibly inspiring as I worked through my certifications. Choosing LiquidState was the best decision I could have made to set my foundation as a Freediver. Also, the school is right on Savusavu bay. You only have to swim meters until you hit epic reef and sea life. It doesn’t get much better than that!

We LOVED our Freediving course with Neelam and Toby and couldn't recommend them with more enthusiasm. My wife and i love scuba diving, yoga, and various other outdoor activities. Freediving is a wonderful way to combine the beauty of the ocean, challenging the body and quieting of the mind. We took the combined AIDA level 1 and 2 and it was a perfect introduction to the sport. Liquidstate's website detailed the course and our expectations lined up perfectly with our experience. I could rave about the quality of the instruction, the top rate gear supplied with the course, the beauty of Savusavu Bay and a dozen other parts of the course ... but the highlight of them all was meeting and spending time with Neelam and Toby. They are truly wonderful people and gifted instructors. If you are considering Freediving, I would highly recommend the sport ... and if you have decided on Freediving, you won't find a better experience anywhere than at Liquidstate with Neelam and Toby.

I had a really great time learning to free dive with Neelam and Toby. I signed up for the AIDA 2 course because I wanted to be more comfortable with underwater breath holds but was initially quite resistant to the idea of going down to 20m. I also struggled a lot the first day with frenzel equalization. Neelam was an extremely patient, competent, and encouraging instructor, and I surprised myself by getting down to 18m on the last day. I’m keen to continue on my free diving journey and am so grateful to Neelam and Toby for helping me get past my initial fears and hesitations. The Savusavu setting is breathtaking, and I hope to be back one day for more expert coaching!

Excellent service and care provided by Tobi and Neelum. Great safety consciousness and ethical considerations for all dives. We were fortunate enough to have a dive trip all to ourselves, a private two person freedive with an excellent coach and amazing coral reefs to explore! It was one of the best experiences we’ve had diving. The introduction to spear fishing course was excellent, Tobi was incredibly knowledgeable and an excellent, calm and relaxed teacher. Highly recommend diving with Liquidstate, the extra bonus was having Flori the dog join us on our boat trips!

I was originally in Fiji for scuba diving but when I learned that Neelam and Toby taught how to free dive lessons, I immediately changed some of my plans in order to make time for the AIDA 2 course. They went above and beyond in so many ways to make the class a fun, educational and empowering experience - from courtesy door to door transport to underwater photography to hours of extra customized coaching since I struggled to equalize my ears. I am an avid swimmer, snorkeler and scuba diver but I have always had ear problems - sinus infections, small Eustachian tubes, deviated septum. But Neelam and Toby told me that it was just a matter of practice and time and anyone could learn to equalize (my internet research confirmed this which helped me to be more determined). We spent hours on different techniques to help the different parts of my mouth and throat learn the movements, and step by step I got better on land. Then in the water when I was almost about to give up for the day, Neelam had one last suggestion and BAM! There I was swimming down to almost 15 meters under water just minutes later, happy as a little fish. I love that this sport requires relaxation and letting go to achieve new goals. The setting for the classes could not be more beautiful - practicing on lush green hillsides surrounded by fruit trees and looking down the hill to the ocean; the in-water training is right where there is almost great snorkeling. Their precision, attention to ever little detail and dedication to helping their students succeed really stands out. Highly recommend these guys if you have any curiosity about free diving!
