So surprised to find a place like this in West Auckland! This is not your ordinary korean bbq place. They still offer the pork belly (samgyeopsal), soup base dish and fried chicken on their menu. But 치곱Chi Gop is a must visit for the adventurous palate for beef and pork entrails/innards. It is so good! For people non familiar eating innards, it is definitely an acquired taste. But it is worth the try! Portion sizes are perfect for sharing. Awesome place to share a meal with friends with a thrist quenching alcohol. It is rare to find a good korean bbq grill place that offer these in Auckland! My highlights are the side dishes and the fried rice burnt to perfection for the crunch factor! Love the staff whos patient to explain to us how things work. We will definitely visit again!

Six of us visited here last Friday and had a fantastic time. We usually go for Modum Gui Assortment(모듬구이) and Bul Gop Mak(불곱막창) on every visit. This time we added Sundae Bokkeum(순대볶음) which was pretty nice. Drink-wise, I am not heavily into soju so I would normally drink chungha. The one I had this time is called Starlight chungha sparkling (별빛청하) - tastes sweet!

Have been a few times for the great Korean traditional foods and the boss is so handsome and friendly too.

Fairly new Korean restaurant in Henderson which opened just before Christmas last year. Dined in twice and take away once. Love their food and the employees are really friendly too :)

At Chigop, authentic Korean flavors come to life. With a wide variety of dishes like 곱창 (beef intestines), 막창, finger-licking fried chicken, fluffy 계란찜 (steamed eggs), and the perfectly crispy 김치전 (kimchi pancake), every visit feels like a journey to Korea's vibrant culinary scene. Finishing with fried rice after BBQ is a must, and their selection of soju and beers complements the meal perfectly. Having dined there multiple times, my family and I have always been impressed by their consistent quality and top-tier service. For westies, there's no longer a need to trek north for this kind of gourmet experience. However, given its popularity, securing a reservation is a wise move. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite. Restaurant is hygiene, the food materials they choose are of very top quality. The boy who served us is very nice and friendly. Highly recommended if you love intestine bbq.

Best Korean restaurant for intestines in Auckland! I had Bul gop mak chang, it was a little spicy but amazing!

I love this place. Happened upon it because I was craving korean while out west, but I'm super glad I did. Probably the only place I know that does good intestines (gopchang) in all of Auckland. Food never fails to impress, and so I've become somewhat of a regular even though I live 20 mins drive away. Great place to eat/drink and have a good catch up with friends.
