INSANE FOOD! Best burger i’ve had!!! If you love burgers this place is a must try! it puts any fast food place and many expensive burger places to SHAME! The customer service was also on par with the quality and taste of the food. The staff was super friendly and even asked me if I liked mustard as some people don’t.

Wowzers! This is my first visit, I bought the double pattie,cheese,bacon burger, got some "lit" sauce and Aoli sauce, This was the best burger that I hav ever had in living memory! I will be back to try the other burgers rest assured.

I ordered the Jalapeño burger for myself and a snack box for the hubby. The burger was 👌👌👌 I could tell it was done with love. Hands down the best patty I have had in a loooong time. The potato chips with the chilli powder I was very hesitant to share with my kids but even they loved it. And let's just say the chicken nearly didn't make it home to the hubby 😂 I definitely overate tonight!!! Glad to have had King Shakas for dinner. Thanks team!!! ❤️

Pros: - Tasty food, I had the bacon cheeseburger and Kumara fries 👌 - Damn decent pricing. - Friendly staff. - Cool urban style burger joint . Cons: Only one... music. I personally don’t mind listening to track after track of hardstyle drum and bass 😂 but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. That being said, the main reason you’re going is for burgers, chips and fried chicken and THAT they do well! Edit: Came back again after 2 years and they’re still excellent! Ordered the Shakas classic cheeseburger and wedges and sour cream , and it was bomb! Very nice and I was worried that they’d be stingy on the sour cream but NOPE! I couldn’t even finish my meal (and I’m pregnant lol) second time I’ve been here and every time the customer service is EXCEPTIONAL! Very friendly bunch. Will be back again to try more things soon. Good price, good portions and good food. What I keep looking for in their burgers, is a bit of sweetness. Also, does not do phone orders which is extremely inconvenient and requires you to waste time.

Service was good. Staff were really friendly and patient in explaining to us the items. Chicken was crispy, juicy and well marinated, but it was unfortunately overly seasoned that it got too salty, we were struggling to finish it because of this. Loved the level of the spice though. We wonder if it’s possible to get the same level of heat with less sodium. Not sure about the burger. If you don’t like chopped onions or too much seasoning in the patty, give it a miss to avoid any disappointment. Loved the cheese fries, lit sauce and the hot chips though, these three items totally hit the spot

One of the best beef burgers I've tried so far. I ordered a jalapeno cheese burger and my partner went for a double trouble one, omg! We both loved it. Such flavorful and yummy burgers. Also, the size of the patty is good enough to fill your stomach with one burger. On the sides, we ordered a snack box which had fries and fried chicken, we loved that too. It was probably the best fried chicken I've eaten so far in Auckland. Definitely going back again...

Pros: good big fat burgers tastes great, nicely done patties Cons: charges extra for spicy sauce where it's replacing the ketchup I believe, which is a sauce too. Should get their interior sorted and offer dine in

Hands down the best fried chicken place in Auckland. I don't know if it's a stretch to say in New Zealand, but I've yet to find a place that could challenge it. It's affordable, it's absolutely delicious, and the people that work here are the coolest. I selfishly hope this review isn't seen by anyone so there'll be more chicken left for me, but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, and believe me, you NEED this.

Been eating there a few times and it’s been a great experience. The chicken is tender and crispy plus the fries are crunchy with great even seasoning. Would there over any fast food place. Plus, the staff there are understanding with great service.

I heard a lot of good things about this place. Finally tried it and the kai is super tasty. The man who served me was really friendly and inviting with great customer service. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the kumara fries were delicious. Thanks guys, I'll definitely be back.
