Gorgeous spot and beautiful old house. Such a shame it is all empty and disused now. Bigger shame is that the bush has been allowed to grow up around the garden, obstructing the panoramic view. I love the bush and believe in conserving it, but in this case would it really have been wrong to keep it down? Such a small area of bush vs special historical spot.

This will be my 2nd time here as I went with my sisters the 1st time...this time was with my partner who thought it was the best view he'd seen from there.. Took me awhile to get him there but it did not disappoint... So if you'd like to see a beautiful view from west just do it you will not be disappointed..

Not too impressed with the place these days. There seems to be someone living there? I used to come all the time with the kids but now it’s a bit strange picnicking in someone’s backyard. It’s not being maintained like it used to be either with the gardens always looking overgrown

There was an antiques shop there but they moved as their lease ran out. It is still a lovely place to visit, with great views, from the platform, out across Auckland City to the North East. It is possible to lease the house out if you want to run a business here, a tea rooms type setup might work.

Closed and fenced in. There has been a lot of damage in the area from Cyclone Gabrielle. No indication when it might reopen.

Beautiful view and lovely quiet spot to go to. Great bit of history and an amazing lady who has lived an inspiration life. RESPECT 🤙

What an amazing view out over the city. The grounds/carpark are open now. If your going to piha, this is well worth the short 5 min detour.

The house is not open any more and not occupied.
