Absolutely delicious!! I got the chorizo burger and it was so delicious and filling! The avocado was the perfect touch to balance out the spiciness of the burger!

Stopped in based on previous reviews and glad we did, food was great. It was my daughter and I after passing through town for a soccer game. Environment was fun, had a college dive feel to it with 2 tvs and a self serve seating. Staff was nice, they bring the food out to you but it is counter service ordering. Food is great, the burgers are hand pattied and the buns are super good. Toppings are fresh and you can go the way of build your own or pick from a list of menu burgers. Fries are awesome and portion sizes are pretty good. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and a double Fire Roasted Jalapeño Burger. I could have done with a single patty burger but I had big eyes. Highly recommend this place for great food with fair prices and good portion sizes.

Elevated burgers in a college town burger joint. The beef is flavorful not too salt you and the patties are thick. Cooked accurately. The veggies are fresh and crisp. Bison is an option. They have lots of options for building your own burger as well as specials. French fries are crispy on the outside and light in the inside, like boardwalk fries. Sweet tea is okay but not sweet enough.

Even though this place is known for burgers highly recommend the grilled chicken caesar picture and photo was a small. Great prices some of the best cheese fries we have had! Not sure who can eat a triple Patty but my son had a double Patty and could barely finish. Go check them out! Good sitting area and friendly quick staff.

Now I'm not from chapel Hill originally but if you want burgers, you gotta come here. This is a local American style business with an Asian twist. They have delicious Angus beef burgers and if you love spicy, get it with their Wasabi mayo. The fries were either a little over cooked or the oil was bad but either way this was a great food experience and I can't wait to come here again hopefully soon!

Hands down one of THE BEST veggie burgers I’ve ever had! I’ve been a vegetarian for 3 years. This veggie burger was made out of actual vegetables and grains. No fillers or byproducts. I usually stick with black bean burgers, or my own house made patties, because restaurants cannot seem to make their vegetarian options tasty, or they use fake meat like impossible and beyond. NOT these guys!!! I’m so lucky that I randomly found this place. It’s also a 3 minute walk from my new job in Chapel Hill. I’m definitely going to be a regular customer.

Great food. My partner has allergies and preferences that limit her burger choices. They have various patty options and gluten-free buns. They have the second best sweet potato fries I have ever had.

If you have a chance to stop at this place do not skip it. This place seriously took my family and I by surprise when we received our orders. These burgers are SO delicious and huge! I size and thickness of the beef patties were huge. And if you like sauces with a little kick you have to try the dragon sauce. We will definitely be coming back to Buns in the future. PS - The customer service was pretty great too. Fast, friendly and funny staff.

They also have a wide variety of unique burgers that aren’t offered at alot of other burger places around. The staff is always incredibly friendly and the establishment is very clean with great vibes!

Well guess what? You can find a real burger in Chapel Hill. Fun place hidden in plain sight. Park in lot across the street. Hand cut FF and fresh toppings. This is a $9+ dollar burger place so be prepared to spend.

As far as I'm concerned, this restaurant is an indelible part of Chapel Hill. Always delicious, the service is awesome, and the fries are irresistible. Vegan/veg-friendly options too, that are equally good. You don't want to miss it.

One of the best places on Franklin Street. Loved it during undergrad and now as an alumni. Even during a pandemic, they had great service, food, sauces, and a short wait time for the food. I got the Yoko Ono - a retired burger that's savory, and fries with the dragon sauce.

First time ordering and the 2 gentleman were outstanding with their customer service. Very attentive and precise with their skills. I highly recommend and approve of their way of cooking. Everything was super fresh, and tasted very clean and like you taste the good freshness still in it. Fries were great! Price is worth it! Come order there for dine in and take out. You won't be disappointed.

We ordered togo and went to eat this in the car 5 minutes late. Such a disappointing experience. The burger patty was definitely lacking in seasoning, the hot dogs were cold and one had the wrong condiments, the fries were soggy and cold. I also got a grilled cheese, which is one of my favorites and it was horrible. The bread was soggy and super greasy, with honestly too much cheese but it was also cold. We ate 5 minutes after getting our order so it should have been hot still. Although the milkshakes were excellent, we won't be back 😌

Turkey Burgers!!! Tried this spot for the first time before a movie, and the Burgers were awesome...good portion of food , fries were plentiful...Burger was really well put together. Parking wasn't great but it worked. Would definitely come again!

I am only in Chapel Hill once a year and always bring my staff to Buns for a casual dinner the first night. Great burgers and sandwiches served with more fries than anyone should consume. Dipping sauces are fantastic.

My go to for burgers in Chapel Hill! They have multiple burgers from you to choose from but you can also build your own. Plus, their fries are always hot & delicious, I recommend 1/2 sweet potato & 1/2 regular!

Hands down the best burger in Chapel Hill! Lots of great burger choices and my Brie burger was cooked to perfection. The hand cut fries are to die for as well. We were so impressed at the great service and very family friendly as well!

College town vibe, delicious burgers create your own or choose from the menu. Fries are freshly cut they also have cut fresh sweet potato fries. My burger was cooked perfectly and the customer service was great too! I didn't have fries, but my son did and loved them. Bison burger is also an option!

Salmon burger, side of sweet potato fries and dragon sauce are my go to favorites here! Salmon is always perfectly cooked and the combination with the Asian slaw is delicious.
