Nice area to take a walk or jog along the dam. But not my favorite place if you're looking for calm, serene outdoor relaxation. It was a bit too crowded, and not necessarily safe to walk on the dam because of the traffic and narrow space for cars and pedestrians to be shared. Also no shade. But it was great to walk down to the rocks on the water and sit down for a bit. Going out on a boat must be nice, we saw many of them on the lake.

This place is amazing!! Great trails and very quiet. Happy that is only 7 minutes away from Wake Forest! A must for anyone who lives in the area and loves outdoors!

Tailrace really flowing! Hiked across the bridge and through the woods uphill to lookout point, then back across the top of the dam and down to the parking lot with the kids and dogs. Took about an hour. Love this place. Saw lots of NEW graffiti tho :(

Falls Lake is a hidden gem in the heart of Wake forest. The park offers stunning sunset views, and well-maintained trails great for walking, strolling and exploring. You will find plenty of shaded seats for picnicking. The peaceful and relaxing atmosphere makes it the perfect getaway not so far from the city center. It's a great park for a relaxing day surrounded by nature.

Beautiful area, trails are well maintained, several picnic tables, restroom facilities, and cool dock. The smell of dead fish and perhaps something else was overwhelming on a hot summer day, though.

Great place to take a walk , picnic , or brink your kayak. You can walk/ drive right across the dam. There's a small playground. Plenty of Blue Heron around. You can walk a trail or drive down the road to get to the bottom of the dam. Beautiful are with rocks ,rapids, and trees.

Nice cycling trails. Not the best access from the dam to the cycling trails but if you just turn right before you get to the dam and proceed down about 10 steps, you’ll get to a gravel road and 100 yards later you’re on the cycle path right at the bike shop.
