I underestimated the presidential range and had to bail and hitch a ride back to make it out when we intended to . Started by submitting Mt Washington via tuckermans ravine trail and continued on the AT, plans to summit each on the presidential range. I'll be back to complete this challenge but will be doing the presidential traverse. Pack light, expect a challenge and be dynamic. Water is sporadic but is available frequently enough.

Staple of New Hampshire and pretty much all of New England. Massive forest with endless things to see and do. Wish we had more time to see it all! While there is traffic, it's not overwhelming. Breathtaking views any time of year and the road is well maintained during the winter. Be sure to prepare yourself for the season you are visiting especially if you'll be doing some hiking. We will back next year!

We kept postponing this trip because we want to do it in fall. But turns out it is equally beautiful in summer. Numerous hikes, waterfalls and breathtaking views. We stayed in Lincoln and did the loop clockwise. Flume gorge is a must visit and is possible even with tiny kids.

White Mountain National Forest is really large. Spent time in both the northeast and southwest corners. The area is really laid-back and not overly touristy.

Best place to watch fall foliage, a picture isn’t enough to describe the actual beauty of it. It’s absolutely breathtaking. To watch all of these scenic spots you just have to drive through the Kancamagus highway, there are tons of stops where you can park and enjoy the sights..

Waterville valley campsite Site space A+ Bathroom C- Fire pit A+ I always appreciate a good fire pit at a campsite and Waterville valley has a wonderful fire pit good for cooking and longer stays Location C- ( a bit out of the way from everything 20 minute drive or so to closest gas station normally I'd like this isolation but you can still hear the close by highway and passing cars, motorcycles at night which took away from the forest isolation. A few trails nearby but if looking for notch activities Waterville valley campsite might not be the best there are a few good trails around but found a bit inconvenient to be out of the way worked against us more than for us.

This is great place to visit with family or alone, particularly in October when leafs are changing colors. In summer, it was also good to enjoy green world but my preference is fall. Bring cardigan or thin jacket with you even summer, it is little freezing after sunset.

Rode to top in rental Prius. Fun drive wife was white knuckled I loved it. Nice clean rest area at top. Known as the worst weather in the world. pic are cog railway. Heard it is a long trip for them recommend car trip. $45 for 1 and car $15 each additional. Kind of steep. But so is the climb.😃

Nice short walk/hike near Mt. Washington Hotel...the path was flooded due to all the rain, but kind of nice walking through the water on a hot day!

Beautiful place to visit. It’s expensive to get in though.

Amazing if well prepared in the winter! Freedom of the Hills.
