My wife & Grand daughter with her daughter went to buy tickets from the automatic machine but did not supply the tickets. My wife asked the man in the ticket office to come & help. He said just push the Cancel button on the side of the machine - they could not find one ! when this was pointed out to the man he said --"just buy some more" which they had to do - I wonder who got the Β£2.00 when the machine was emptied and found to be over on the cash ! Very poor service. Just a could not care less attitude from this member of staff.

Small but busy station. Clean n tidy. Very helpful staff specially Asian guy in the gate who helped me for guiding my way. Train service is great not really prob, cancellation or delays. Big car parking out there for easy commuting. Thanks to everyone who work there n maintained it well πŸ‘

Big Thankyou to Jonny @ the ticket office I was stranded this evening due to missing my train, phone had died & was unable to contact anyone. He kindly helped me, offered me his phone charger, so I could organise a lift & had helped me with a new ticket to my destination! Was so helpful & don’t know what I would have done if he didn’t help! Thankyou Jonny, you deserve a pay rise:)

This was a solid station to change trains at, being kept in a pleasant condition and having a footbridge for crossing over the railway. The bridge has signs to encourage a proper system of staying on the left-hand side and leads to a small car park after platform 2, from which it is entirely safe to walk to platforms 3, 4 and 5. The platform signs come in handy to help with navigation and departure boards make it clear when/where to travel from on any train, also the seating was definitely clean enough to wait on. The platforms are well-sized, leading to the trains being accessible to both depart and enter!

Like a lot of small / medium UK towns it's all a bit tired and unloved. Pity it was a nice place.

I know we need to save train station ticket offices, but have never not felt like I am getting scammed. Typically standing with phone in hand knowing I can get my ticket cheaper without interacting with someone.

Clean Station with good waiting room and a coffee shop. Platform staff are friendly and helpful especially with direction to platform. Can be a bit confusing to find right platform if you have never been before. Ticket staff are helpful and know the best routes and price. Only downside is parking can be hard to find a space

A fairly small but busy station. The platforms are well signposted so very easy to navigate. There is a ticket office with friendly, helpful staff (as well as ticket machines available). There is some step free access available here, but the ramp between platforms is quite steep so might not be suitable for everyone. Well located for access to the canal, river and town centre.

Helpfull friendly staff. Sorted the best deal for 5 of us travelling to Skipton. Mick told us to get returns as it was a cheaper option even though we weren't returning. Train was on time and it saved us getting soaked walking to Skipton.

I love the layout of Shipley Station. It takes a while to explore but it’s unique! Also, the staff are helpful and the music they play is great.

The music, god the music. The same five minute loop of piano, whyyyyy. I have to hear this for 45 minutes, 6 days a week. God knows how the staff feel about it, but please, make it stop. Why doesn't it ever end?

A busy train station, but no public toilets. You'd think it's time they offered these at this busy station, and there's no guarantee that the ones on the train will be working.
