We were here for snacks. Attitude of the waiter was horrible. Tables were not clean . Had to request to clean the tables. They took a very long time to serve. The worst was the chutney which was served with batata wada. It was like water added in chopped corriander and green chillies. Value for money is zero as the rates are very high as compared to the product served. A big no for people who are planning to visit this place and will never suggest anyone to come here.

This hotel deserves no star. All thanks to very rude staff and absolutely arrogant manager or whoever is in the counter. Half the items in the menu card were unavailable and when asked for it, the waiter replies very rudely and so the manager. Not worth the money spent. After visiting this zero class hotel, i felt it's good to eat from the roadside cart or stay hungry than to tolerate such unacceptable behaviour.

Kamath is now running on old reputation. Rest rooms are clean, standard breakfast meets expectation but what sucks is the owner's attitude. Order tea and you get re-heated horrible tea..if you politely go back to ask if they can make some fresh, you'll be told you're no special because all customers are drinking whatever they give, that it is fresh, that you don't know good tea from bad. So, by all means they're entitled to not offer you value for your money or offer to cancel the order. The guy at bill counter can't take one line of calm constructive feedback and starts shaking and insulting people only to tell his kitchen staff later to not make 5 litre tea in one go. If you can't offer the customer basic respect and fresh food, you're in the wrong business or in business for wrong reasons.

One of the worst downfalls, complete disgrace to its old reputation. The manager is a psycho he used the words chal phut and talked very rudely. The food was so bad never halt here for breakfast Sambhar and chutney were not good no cleanliness and dosa was bad especially upma was the worst only dry rava. Very very bad wont recommend it to anyone pls dont come Wont visit even if it serves food for free.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the experience my family and I had during our recent visit to Kamat Hotel. As customers of Kamats Hotel, we expected nothing short of excellence, but unfortunately, our visit turned out to be the complete opposite. Firstly, I must address the behavior of your waiter, who displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy. It felt as though we were inconveniencing him by being there, as he took our orders with an air of indifference, treating us as if he was doing us a favor. This kind of service is simply unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of your esteemed brand. Moreover, the quality of the food was far from satisfactory. The taste and presentation fell well below the standard we have come to expect from Kamats Hotel. Adding to our disappointment, our orders were inexplicably delayed in the kitchen, leaving us waiting for an unnecessary amount of time. It was clear that the waiter was neglecting his duties by unnecessarily keeping the food in the kitchen for an extended period. This delay further dampened our dining experience and left us feeling frustrated and neglected. Furthermore, I was astounded by the waiter’s lack of common sense when it came to a simple request for a empty glass of water. Despite the fact that he saw a one-year-old child with us, he still proceeded to ask for whom the glass was intended. Such a question is not only unnecessary but also reflects a lack of basic customer awareness.

Extremely overhyped. Pathetic service. And the food tastes like shi*. Plus, it's overpriced for the quantity. Idlis didn't have salt. Neither did the dosa. When the bill came, it was just random numbers written without mentioning the items. When this issue was flagged to the manager, he threw attitude. Only positive to this place is the location. Rest, it's not worth a stop.

Very rude manager/owner or whoever that person is at the counter. Also, his son or whoever that young personality is rude. Hygiene takes a backseat when you visit here. Food is decent. The restaurant is still working on it's old reputation. Staff is untrained. The bill received was without any items written on it. There's not even an automated printing bill machine here.Very old school. After paying the bill we went away and I came back only to take a watter bottle and since we didn't have cash, I asked him for GPay or a card payment. He refused to sell the watter bottle without cash. I don't recommend this restaurant for all the purposes except for the decent food for which it deserves that 1 star.

It's no longer the place it used to be years back. Waiting staff was hardly interested in what we had to say. The Manager sitting at the counter showed attitude to a simple question asked to him. Food wasn't anything great. They don't even have Scan Payments and insist on cash, when in today's time even a street vendor offers QR payments. Will not visit this place ever again

Very rude manage or whoever that person is at the counter. The waiter is so rude, horrible and arrogant with us. The food is also not fery hygienic. The restaurant is still working on it's old reputation. Staff is untrained. The bill received was without any items written on it. There's not even an automated printing bill machine here.Very old school. After dinner we had our written bill as so far and I asked him for GPay payment but they dont have that facility. I don't recommend this restaurant for all the purposes. Also all the reviews on google are negative. It was terrific experience after hectic day.

In an era of digital payments, they want just cash payments. One can easily understand why. A business is not obliged to inform. But a foreword or notification for payment modes, gives the client option to decide whether they can proceed or not. Imagine the inconvenience once you have the bill and this info together. Add it to the rude and arrogant behaviour of the manager. BTW: Food taste and quality awful, bit overpriced if that is what you are after. Many better options available down the road.

The food was bad. The chutney was made from dessicated coconut and not fresh coconut. And it had gone stale

CASH ONLY! Food tastes awful, and the person at the counter has a mountain of attitude. The service staff seemed untrained, even basic things were mixed up. It used to be good, but no longer the case.

Mention of Khandala and who doesn't know of Kamats Green House. Quality Food and Great Prices. Ambience is OK but no complaints , we come solely for the taste. Batata Vada and the filter coffee is our All Time Favourite. Yesterday we tried Misal Pav Upma and Chana Bhatura. Simply outstanding. Kamats you'll are Evergreen..

Good restaurant to have breakfast and snacks. Avoid visiting in the afternoon of summer season as they don't have an AC section. The quality of food and service is good. They have ample parking facilities. Also have a clean toilet which is a little away from the restaurant. Cash only restaurant.

Except the Vada which the place is famous for, this place literally stinks. Extremely unhygienic place with flies all around, unwashed cutlery, unclean tables. Eat at your own risk, used to have find memories of this place as a child, those days are long gone. The owner or manager is grumpy and his face has that eternal severely constipated look which might give you diarrhoea.

This does not seem to be the original vithal kamat. Pathetic food quality n service. Highly arrogant people managing the show. They feel they are doing a favour if we ask for anything. Super high priced menu. 100% avoid

Breakfast items quantity is very low. We ordered Upma but shockingly it was in a small plate which 7 months baby uses to take in lunch time. For Dosa he gives sambar and chutney in tea disposable cups. Idly of so much small size that if u are loving to eat South dish then u will regret. And lastly payment what to expect NO PAYTM OR PHONEPAY seriously the cashier doesn't take card or UR scan only cash. So please be aware if u wish to enter this place have a handful of cash so that u don't be shock but ha there is ATM but if u are willingly to waste ur no. of times card to use then it's well and good.

Buzzing place with good spread of snacks and good halting point on way to Lonavla. Was amazed at the response of one of the waiters, who we asked for spoons n he simply said - I don't have it. We laughed so much at his response!

Bad service with bad taste. Overpriced as compare to taste and quality. THEY DONT ACCEPT CARD AND UPI ONLY CASH. FORCED US TO WITHDRAW MONEY FROM ATM. hygene is not maintained. Waiter was not willing to provide simple onion plate and told us that it was added in misal already. We had to request him 3 times for just plate on onions.
