Had an amazing experience at Rajmachi trek!! We visited to see the fireflies and it was so amazing view to look at. Trek difficulty is easy. Good trek for beginners as it has stairs for half of the trek and the other half is rocky trails. The view from the top is wonderful😍 The base village has a temple surrounded by the lake pleasant atmosphere and view might get even better in rainy season Villagers are supportive but there is issues with the electricity mostly they use solar energy! Good for one day and overnight camping treks

The fort is around 4-5kms from the forest department's checkpoint. Will suggest going by walk rather than taking a bike/car as the road is very bad. This is a moderate trek till the base and 30 mins Trek till the top. Also take the necessary food items beforehand than buying there as it's way costlier. Will recommend the trek if you want the experience of wildlife.

Awesome place, the view on the way is breathtaking. The road is not good during monsoon. The way is filled with water, so plan accordingly. There are many beautiful waterfalls on the way.

You will witness one of the best view from fort, especially in the mansoon season. You can carry your two wheeler upto the base village that is Udhe Wadi, from Udhe Wadi fort is 45 mins apart and easy to climb without much hassle. But road is in very poor condition, especially in mansoon season road condition is worst. I will recommend not to cary any scooty or basic bike as chances of two wheeler getting stuck in mud or getting puncture is high. If you have mount ranger bike or a sport bike with good pair of tyres, then its fine. In winter season yes you can carry any decent two wheeler even scooty upto the base village. View of "Kataldhar waterfall" is breathtaking from fort. Many homestays available for overnight stay at base village but better be booked in advance. Overnight stay is recommended if you want to cover both the forts. Best time to visit is in mansoon and winter season. I have visited in both the seasons but view in rainy season is amazing.

One of most beautiful and renowned treks in Sahyadri range. There are 2 routes of the trek. One via kondhane and the other via lonavala. Kondhane route is more difficult where it takes around 4-5 hours to reach the village and then another 45 min to reach the shrivardhan fort. While lonavala route takes about 3 hrs to the village and then another 45 min to reach the shrivardhan fort. There are 2 forts to explore- shrivardhan and manoranjan. You need 2-3 hrs to cover both. The complete trek is just beautiful especially during monsoons where you get to see amazing views. There are stay options in the village - Udhewadi in case you plan to stay over. We have done this trek via both the routes. So if you are an adventure enthusiast and a hiker you shud cover it via kondhane where you will also be able to cover kondhane waterfalls. This route will test your hiking skills and endurance. If you go via lonavala route it’s more of a trail or jungle walk. Moderate hike. On this route you have Kataldhaar waterfalls. We suggest 2 days for this trek which will give you ample time to enjoy it whichever the route you take. For more travel stories please follow us @banjaaraa.couple

Rajmachi Fort, nestled in the beautiful state of Maharashtra, is a historical gem that offers a rich tapestry of natural beauty and heritage. The fort, perched atop the Sahyadri mountains, boasts a breathtaking panoramic view of the lush Western Ghats. It's not just a historical site but a journey through time, with roots tracing back to Shivaji Maharaj's era. The trek to Rajmachi Fort is a hiker's paradise. The lush greenery, meandering streams, and the lush flora along the path make it an enchanting adventure for nature lovers. As you ascend, the views become more spectacular, and you can explore two distinct forts, Shrivardhan and Manoranjan, each with its own charm and history. One of the highlights of Rajmachi Fort is the picturesque sunset and sunrise views. The golden hues painting the sky create a serene and magical atmosphere, perfect for quiet reflection or capturing stunning photographs. The fort also offers a glimpse into the past with its ancient structures, giving a sense of history. However, it's essential to carry necessities for the trek, such as food, water, and proper footwear. In summary, Rajmachi Fort is a captivating blend of history and nature, providing a memorable trekking experience and a chance to immerse yourself in Maharashtra's scenic beauty. It's a must-visit for history buffs, nature enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a tranquil escape in the Western Ghats.

I recently visited Rajmachi Fort near Lonavla, and it was an unforgettable experience. This was my first trek, and I was amazed by the natural beauty surrounding the fort. The trek is approximately 12km from the starting point, but you can also drive your vehicle to the base village. At the base, there are shops where you can have breakfast, offering dishes like maggi, poha, and nimbu sharbat. Washrooms are also available at the base, which is convenient. If you want to extend your stay, you can bring your tents and camp overnight. I visited in June first week, but I imagine the monsoon season would provide an even more wonderful experience. Overall, Rajmachi Fort is a great place to visit, especially for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a unique trekking adventure.

Bike riding while reaching the Fort was the best part. The climate was very beautiful and soothing. Especially in monsoon the trek feels great. It is surrounded by many waterfalls.

At a distance of 6 km from Lonavala Railway Station and 2.5 km from Khandala Railway Station, Rajmachi Point is located on the way to Mumbai from Pune, just before the starting point of the ghat in Khandala. The Rajmachi Point is one of the top tourist places in Lonavala. Rajmachi Point is located within walking distance from the Dukes Retreat. This spot got its name because Rajmachi Fort of the incredible Maratha ruler Chatrapati Sivaji is situated opposite this point. The point offers spectacular views of Rajmachi Fort, the surrounding valley, and waterfalls as part of Lonavala packages. Rajmachi Point has a temple and a children's park. This is also a famous area for movie producers. Monkey Point, Sunset Point, Lions Point are the few attractions close by. Sunset point gives spectacular views of the sunset. One can have a clear view of the expressway from here. Regular State Transport buses ply between Rajmachi Point and Lonavala from the State Transport Bus Stand A trek to the Rajmachi Fort will take you to the hidden landscapes of the region that will spellbind you. The Fort was built back in the 17th century and is one of the best trekking spots of Maharashtra. It is snuggled in the Karjat region and was built in the era of Shivaji Maharaj. From here, you can take a look at the Borghat which is a historic trade route and extends spectacular views. Apart from this, it is one of the best places to visit in Khandala.

One of the best forts in Maharashtra for trekking. The view from the top of the fort is just amazing. You will be lost in the beauty of nature. If you are planning to visit the fort just go for it.

Had a fantastic time on the Rajmachi Trek! We went to watch the firefly, and it was an incredible sight to admire. Trek has an easy level level. Excellent walk for novices as half of the route is on rough terrain and stairs. The vista is breathtaking from the top😍 The base town features a temple around by a lake. The view is lovely and may be even better during the rainy season. The villagers are helpful, although there are problems with the electricity—mostly because they use solar energy! Ideal for day trips and long camping expeditions

A very good trek for early monsoons. It was my second trek to Rajmachi and this was absolutely a notch above the previous one. There are two forts to climb to - Manoranjan and Shrivardhan. It would take a day to climb and descend to both of them. If an overnight trek,do trek down to Kondane caves. You’d necessarily need a local guide from the village for this. You’d definitely get lost in the forest otherwise. It is serene from the top of the fort (try to be there for either the sun rise/set. It’s a beautiful experience and one of the most fun treks in the Sahyadri range.

Monsoon trek to this fort might be visually marvelous. We went in the month of October. At that time, there is no water falls. So better to trek this route during monsoon season.

One of the best place near Lonawala, which is easy and convenient for family as well as friends. The way to the trek include steps covered with trees which makes the trek more easy. You can witness beautiful view in the morning if you start the trek at early morning. The road way to the base village is not that good however one can go to fo the amazing view over there. Best season to visit is mansoon.

Beautiful trek for beginners and if u want to make it more challenging park your vehicle at Dellas resort and do the 14 km jungle trek to reach the base of the fort and then trek up the fort 3 kms

Serene Oasis of Tranquility Nestled atop the picturesque hill, the Jain Mandir is a hidden gem that promises an enchanting experience for those who seek serenity and spirituality. As you ascend the winding path leading to this sacred site, you're greeted by breathtaking vistas of lush greenery and the distant horizon. It's an ascent that not only elevates you physically but also spiritually. The architecture of the Jain Mandir is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Intricate carvings, delicate stone work, and meticulous attention to detail are evident in every corner. The temple stands as a testament to the rich Jain heritage, a beautiful blend of history and devotion. During my visit, I was struck by the overwhelming sense of peace that pervades this place. The atmosphere is charged with spiritual energy, making it an ideal spot for meditation and introspection. As you step inside the temple, the soft chants and the fragrance of incense take you on a journey within yourself. The temple is well-maintained, and the staff is courteous and eager to share the history and significance of the Mandir. It's clear that their dedication matches the devotion of the pilgrims who visit. The view from the hilltop is nothing short of magical. The panoramic view of the surrounding landscape is a visual treat, especially during sunrise or sunset. It's a place that offers a unique blend of natural beauty and architectural marvel. In conclusion, the Jain Mandir on top of the hill is a place of profound spirituality, where one can connect with their inner self and soak in the beauty of nature. Whether you're a devotee seeking solace or a traveler looking for a unique cultural experience, this serene oasis of tranquility should be on your must-visit list. It's a destination that leaves a lasting imprint on your heart and soul.

Rajmachi Fort is only fort which has 2 बालेकिल्ला... you have to reach to base village by walking/trekking or by bike... Offroad is there almost 11km so it take time.. for trekking each peak take almost 30 to 35 mins to climb and you will see the mighty Sahyadri Ranges once you reach the top. If you are visiting in Mansoon season then you can see lot of waterfalls especially Kataldhar waterfall from the top and other forts peaks. Its was on of the best experience for me offbeat fort less crowd and enjoy the scenery and views 👌 😎.

Our group was the only group up there, as we went on weekday, so I recommend to visit on weekdays. you also need to pay 20/- as entry fee to MTDC checkpost Any vehicle can go upto the mountain, and thereafter walk/ climb for 15-20 min If you wish to have adventurous experience, go walking instead of the vehicle from (Rajmachi gaon).. the road is beautiful and scenic

The sunrise was worth watching, the trek was mainly followed after the fireflies walk... The village base had good people and food!

Awesome day spent. Did not trek. My plan was to have a good off-road experience. And it was a success.

DIY trek, nice views if weather permits. It would take 30 - 45 mins to scale up the slope, not much of an incline, the alternative way away from the jungle side offers better view but has a loose rocky trail. Best time to visit? After 2 weeks of thorough rainfall during monsoon.

One of the most beautiful place with lot of serene view! Very wonderful experience of fireflies night camp plus trekking at two spots they are little bit difficult treks but everything is fine when we reach at peak.

Fort is really good. Actually Rajmachi is not a fort its the "MACHI" and in this machi there are two forts "Shreevardhan fort" and "Manoranjan Gad". Majority of people visit Shreevardhan gad because it's mesmerizing. Road is worst and slippery specifically in rainy seasons if you are new rider then avoid this fort in rainy seasons. Overall good experience.
