Nicest pub in Welshpool. Great selection of craft ale, reasonably priced, and always a friendly welcome and vibrant atmosphere. For a teeny tiny place they have a bustling bar area, good outdoor space with a gazebo rain shelter, and a cosy upstairs with vintage games and a comfy sofa, and table seating. Very dog friendly. Fab. X

Always friendly when we call in, it's the closest option to our home as a "micropub" not had a bad pint. We just wish that they were a little more adventurous with the beer stocked to differentiate themselves and the venue to others in the town. Never a keg option of a good DIPA or an Imperial stout available except cans But it seems to work for them as its always busy.

Nice place. Decent enough selection. Not able to talk about the different options despite asking and poorly poured pints in consecutive rounds. Overall not a bad experience, but not anything special either.

Nice pint of stout, clean toilets and quiet - no music or blaring tv. Just sensible news talk/debate. Usually busy place but Sunday when I went was quiet, Just a little cold in there. Dog friendly too which is nice. A real sense of history in there from the old photos on frames on walls. Would recommend ****

We visited the Old Bakehouse with family on Friday 23rd and spent a lovely hour in their beer garden. An excellent selection of craft and cask beers, as well as ciders, so something for everyone! I opted for a can from Polly's Brew Co (pictured). Our dalmatian was also with us, as the Bakehouse is dog friendly, and he enjoyed watching the world go by as we had our drinks. They have just had their 1st anniversary so congrats to landlords Janet and Paul and here's looking forward to our next visit.

Definitely our favourite place to drink while we're in Welshpool, we have a caravan just along in Llanfair and always try to pop in for a couple while we're there. Love the different lagers, beers and ales and love they have cans of Sour Beer even more!
