Amazing vegan options, the food was delicious! Genuinely some of the best food I've had all year. I highly approve of the squash risotto and the beetroot hummus. The vegan pumpkin spice cheesecake was heaven, too. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly, and gave great recommendations and advice. I will definitely by coming back here, and recommending the restaurant to everyone I know. Pictures of the squash risotto and beetroot hummus with garlic bread, and the vegan grazing board.

Very homely, cosy and down to earth place filled with house plants and decorated in quite a rustic and earthy way. This personality was reflected in the food, serving organic produce with wild flowers and it seems a lot of their food is sourced locally. I had a pork belly starter, which as a pork belly connoisseur, I can confirm - was delicious. I then had pan fried hake, salsa verde, with a cauliflower puree, which was seasoned well and had plenty of interesting flavours. It was also plated very elegantly. With hardly any room to spare, I had a chocolate mousse, which I believe was an orange flavour with pistachio. This wasn't too heavy or rich and was a great way to end the meal. The waitress who mostly served us was very enthusiastic and had a very nice energy. She was very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and it felt like she really enjoyed her job, which is lovely. I would suggest this place to anyone who knows/enjoys food and wants a warm, relaxed and down to earth atmosphere. I will be back.

In a quiet Carmarthen side street is this absolutely wonderful restaurant. We were a table of 12 guests at The Warren today, a happy get-together of female friends, many of whom have extensive experience of eating out all over the UK and abroad. Today’s food and service were truly exceptional in all respects. The Warren stands out with its winning combination of quality food, fully-committed and knowledgeable staff and a warm, comfortable and welcoming environment.

I make a point of hunting out good roast dinners. The best roast I’ve ever had was the Bunch of Grapes in Bradford-on-Avon. This roast is so good it makes no difference!! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant was pleasant, fun and relaxed. Probably the nicest vibe in any restaurant I’ve been in around Carmarthenshire. Felt like places I’ve loved in Bristol but all the better because it’s so close to home! We were served within 10 minutes of sitting down. The food was properly knock-out. The beef was super tender brisket I think, the roasted half carrots and parsnips were perfect, the potatoes were really nice and crunchy even at this time of the year when they can be difficult and Yorkshire pudding was light and fluffy. Gravy is important with a good roast and this was one of the best, AND, it came out in a well sized jug and I’m sure had I wanted more I could have got some because of how nice they were. The side veg was tasty and fresh. The review from my partners veggie roast was equally shining. We shared a sticky toffee pudding - it was SO good. They’re often drowned in the toffee sauce which completely ruins it for me. This one came with a light drizzle of the sauce on a very moist pudding with some nice ice cream. Perfect. I will 100% be coming back and I think everyone local should be making every effort to keep gems like this open.

What a gem of a place, and such lovely friendly staff. Had the best meal I’ve eaten for ages here, pork tacos 🌮 - so tasty! 😋 With a cold glass of fresh Stroud Brewery pale ale. We also had the fish cakes and roasties special, also lovely. Can’t recommend enough! 👍

Absolutely fantastic cafe/restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff were wonderful. We visited on a very rainy Thursday evening when they were pretty quiet, but the welcome was extremely warm (despite us getting our arrival in the time wrong by half an hour). The veggie burger was fantastic, really nice to see a proper homemade veggie burger that hits all the spots. Drinks were great, including a delicious organic pinot grigio. Desserts were sublime.

We stumbled across this quaint place, because my friend wanted a coffee and quiet place to sit down and re-charged her battery! ! We absolutely loved everything from the decor, to food to staff! , exactly what we wanted from our holiday! London is just too hustle and bustle but with this place is serene and just very peaceful. Staff were super friendly (something I absolutely loved from Wales btw) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 lovely place to visit and if ever I am around again I will definitely come back for another cup of Latte as the one I had was absolutely Devine 🪷🙏

Visited this restaurant today for brunch while we were in Carmarthen for a meditation break. We were especially looking for a place to have a decent vegan meal as we were visiting the ashram nearby. Was pleasantly surprised with the options available on their lunch/brunch menu. All ingredients seems to be locally sourced and this info is available at the entrance. The food was delicious and myself being a carnivore didn't have any complaints (I am a serial complainer when it comes to my food). Very happy with the service and customisations allowed as my wife has many allergies. The prices are very reasonable given the service, the well maintained place and the tasty vegan food. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic eatery! The food is insanely tasty, beautifully presented and comprised of high quality ingredients. The lentil moussaka was a triumph and one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten. Aside from the food, the decor of the building creates a relaxing environment with eye catching artwork and an earthy warmth which mirrors The Warren’s environmentally friendly and sustainable focus. Additionally, the service from staff was incredible from the moment you walk through the door. The waiter was welcoming and attentive with a happy demeanour, which made our experience at The Warren a memory we would like to revisit again soon.

We had a party of 6 and two dogs, and we had an absolutely perfect meal here. We had the days special of pulled pork, a vegan burger, beef burgers, and the hummus starter. Everyone was delighted with their meal. Staff were really on it, giving suggestions that's were really helpful. Fast with the drinks which was important on such a hot day! We also had the tart desert and pavlova which were also very nice. I think it's safe to say theyve got a tight menu and has perfected it. They were very dog friendly and great vegan options.

Recently had a Sunday lunch, while travelling back to Pembrokeshire. The lunch was very tasty, if not a little small. While I appreciate the ethos of the restaurant in using organic and local produce, I do feel the price of the single course lunch at £22.95 to be a little high. In terms of service, it would have been nice to be asked whether we required any condiments. Having requested horseradish sauce, we were given a small pot between our party of three, which we felt was rather sparse. On a positive, the food was tasty, and the Warren appeared to be a popular eatery in Carmarthen. With this in mind, they must be getting things right.

This place is wonderful. Great menu, really helpful staff, great interior. Someone greeted us when we arrived and thanked us for our custom when we left. Beautiful home made tartar sauce with home made fishcakes and chunky chips. Will certainly return. Highly recommended.

The staff is lovely. Good decor/vibe local organic restaurant. Ordered medium steak but came out almost well done. All dish taste fairly salty. The seasonal gin is good.

We've been lunching at The Warren for a good few years, typically 6 visits a year. Like many restaurants, prices keep rising but they face challenging times, especially with energy costs. Without exception the team members are great as is the food. The best thing is the menu gets a regular refresh, important when the choice is limited. I prefer a limited choice to an extensive one where food is mostly pre-prepared and warmed in a microwave. At The Warren, the food is always freshly cooked. Everyone we've taken has enjoyed their visit and always want to go back. Unfortunately my near-empty wallet has to ration these treats.

Gorgeous cafe tucked away with cosy decor and lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing (especially the desert!) and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through or visiting Carmarthen!!

We had an enjoyable lunch here today. The staff were very accommodating in putting tables together and providing high chairs for our grandchildren. The food was slightly underwhelming. My pulled pork bap was rather tasteless. The organic beef burgers were good but over salted. Fish cakes were quite small. Soup of the day was nice. Children's portions were too big and too expensive.

Great little cafe/ restaurants, doing things others aren't. Really interesting menu, drinks, especially the locally foraged tea! Which is quite delightful. Friendly staff and a great place to meet yr mates for a catch up, lunch and a natter. Highly recommended

Amazing food, the service was brilliant, our waitress was so helpful. My husband enjoyed the steak so much he ordered it again and he’s never done that before! The lamb was delicious, bursting with flavour, I ate slowly to enjoy all the flavours as it was so delicious 😋 and the frangipan tart was amazing too, and the wine. We had a fabulous evening/meal. Thank you so much!

A lovely spot for food, coffee and tea. Service was great, and the lady serving was very informative about the area.

We had an absolutely delicious lunch here. I had the grazing platter, and the fish cake was perfect. The surprise was how good and tender and tasty the pork belly was. Usually I'm not a fan. The beetroot was particularly tasty as well. The service is great and the place is completely without pretense, though for a meal this good I'd forgive them if they bragged a bit. Our lunch came in the middle of a week at the beach, eating standard beach fare, and it sure was nice to take it up a notch for a change. More like a couple of notches.

Pleasant room . Excellent Welsh speaking efficient service. Quirky menu. Great to have a different choice. Reasonably price. Will call again

Really delicious food, decent portion sizes and good wine served at just the right temperature. The decor is also very tasteful and contemporary, with a relaxed cafe-style vibe. The prices were a little steep, but as it was the best meal I'd had outside of London, I felt it was worth it. Service was quick and efficient, but there was something supercilious about the guy's attitude that I found off-putting. A warmer, friendlier welcome wouldn't go amiss.
