When looking at the style of the restaurant, you may think that Gladchuk’s is an antiquated place that isn’t able to keep up with the new pacing of Frederick’s food scene, however, you’d be wrong. Gladchuk’s is a staple in the food scene in Frederick. If you’re looking for a place that doesn’t try and be something they aren’t, serving traditional favorites at an extremely high level, this is your place. The mothers day special is steps above anywhere else in the area for the service, food, and experience. The waiter was truly the best I’ve had. He was fast but gave space and diligent in making sure our party had what they needed. The food was also phenomenal as well. If you get any of the seafood you can’t go wrong. I ordered the stuffed shrimp with crab and it was outstanding. The dish was served with duchess potatoes and some steamed vegetables to round out the meal. We look forward to coming back soon.

Gladchuk Bros is one of those gems that you find very rarely, and I was not disappointed that I chose this restuarant over a few others for a Lunch sit down. It is a family owned and operated business and it's on the top of my list of reccomendations for a quiet, clean, and well run sit down restuarant for taking either a friend or the whole family to lunch or dinner in Frederick, MD.

Lovely little spot for some excellent food. The crab cake was 100% crab with no fillers. No beers on tap, but I’ll definitely try again. Other options on the menu looked great, and the specials sounded amazing.

I love a night at Gladchuk Bros! It is amazing how Steve seems to know everyone by name and genuinely is happy to have you there. Drinks, apps, main courses and deserts are always fantastic. Typically pretty busy so calling for a reservation is always a good idea. One of my favorite places in the Frederick area that never disappoints!

A family favorite for the past few years. A must for celebrating special occasions. Love the country farmhouse decor. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. Menu is regularly updated with fresh selections including international features such as German, French and Italian entrees. My father-in-law loves the fried oysters! I enjoyed a French crab cake. A jumbo crab cake over potato croquet. It was delicious. Save room for fresh desserts such as the Tiramisu. A true treasure in Frederick County.

As soon as you step in, you've stepped back in time s few decades. Both the interior and the patrons look pretty damn old. The food itself was nothing special; everything was okay, but their are far better restaurants with a lot more variety within a mile or two of this place.

Went here with a couple family members on a Saturday evening. Olivia who took care of us was great. Bread was good. We all really liked our dishes, I had the baked stuffed shrimp. Came with scalloped potatoes and mixed vegetables. Not regularly a big veggie person but did enjoy these more than I thought. I believe it may have been the bartender who said goodbye on our way out; the lime frozen margarita was delicious. The way it's set up in there it can be kind of loud. I have auditory issues so mentioning this for select others to be aware of and prepared.

We ate at this restaurant for the first time last Saturday evening. It was a great place for comfort food with a European flair. I had the roast turkey dinner and my husband had the rockfish special, but there was meatloaf and schnitzel on the menu as well. His martini was smooth and muscular, and I enjoyed a Lambrusco with my meal (never served at most restaurants). The spiced apple cake was a true German original, and the portions were impossibly large! The host/owner greeted us on the way in, stopped by to check on our comfort during the meal, and shook hands on the way out. You won’t get that at your local chain restaurant, for sure. It was a nice quiet outing, unfussy, unhurried and one we will definitely do again.

They let us pick our own menu for our rehearsal dinner and then printed them to congratulate us. It was the perfect evening.

BLUF: I recommend. Took my daughter and son here for a birthday lunch with grandparents. Plenty of parking, as long as you don't mind walking a little. The menu changes with the season to keep things interesting. AC works VERY well, so bring a jacket if you run cold. Wait staff is amazing and knowledgeable. The food was decent, not the best we'd ever had, but I would go back and eat there again. The ambiance is lacking. There is an over abundance of wood and antique style pictures that are on the creepy side. It's definitely not a restaurant that radiates "romantic", "cozy", "warm", or "family friendly" vibes. It's not pretty or unattractive, I'd say something slightly Victorian era but on the more extremely plain side. It's not a place to have an intimate conversation over candlelight on a romantic date night. Bottom line: I recommend.
