Excalibur was the first escape room experience for everyone in our group of 4. We had a great time! The staff were friendly and helpful and the hints given were just enough to get us going in the right direction again. The room was decorated well and made us feel immersed in the experience and the puzzles were a nice mix of difficulty levels. I'll definitely be back!

My group and I had never been to an Escape Room before. We picked the Excalibur themed room without any idea of what we were getting into. It turned out to be a great time and we’d be happy to come back again. The room itself was really cool and the puzzles were both challenging and intuitive. Also, Kyle was a great Game Master. Overall highly recommended.

Top tier in the DMV! We've done several rooms at various locations in the area and this one was definitely our favorite so far. Puzzles were unique and made sense but weren't too easy. Our group of 9 all had something to do, but a group of 6-7 would probably be ideal for Crane Manor. We'll definitely be back soon! It was worth the trip from DC.

Awesome time and great fun! I went for my birthday and had a blast! It was my first time trying this. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for some serious fun, and thinking. This was our first experience - me, my 11 yo son and his buddy. We didn’t escape but came close - and it was SO MUCH fun! Our guide was terrific too. An incredibly intense hour of problem-solving - loved it and ready for more. My only complaint is I wish it wasn’t so $$$!

Second Clue IQ adventure under our belts. Both were difficult, but not so hard that we felt like banging our heads against a wall. The themes and rooms are very well done, puzzles took some serious though, and had fun all the way to the end. Would definitely recommend Clue IQ for anybody looking for a great adventure! (Would recommend at least 4 people as all are needed, but not more than 8 or the rooms will be too crowded.)

Wow. Ive been to a few escape rooms but none as cool and interactive as this one. My cousin and I did Crane Manor for the horror aesthetic and had a blast, although did not know it was multiple rooms and designed more for a larger group. Still, we managed to get only 2 puzzles away from completion so not bad. Awesome experience!

Came here with my family and had an amazing time! Super friendly and helpful staff and the room was challenging (we didn’t solve it, but there’s always next time!) We’ll be returning again to try again. Great way to spend an afternoon!

My wife and I have gone back her for every escape room. It’s great. The price is typical for escape rooms. The atmosphere of the rooms are fantastic. The puzzles are satisfying to solve.

We’ve done a lot of escape rooms, this was definetely one of the toughest we’ve done. We did the Christmas themed room. Was nice because we only had 5 people, but we reserve the whole room for our time for no additional cost. Definetely recommend

Operation jingle bell was SO much fun. We had a group of 5 and were able to save Christmas. I would definitely recommend Clue IQ if you’re looking for a fun escape room!

Only 4 stars because I don't know how to justify how expensive this place is over other escape rooms. That being said, we did Crane Manor, and it was brilliantly designed, very fun, and decently challenging without being frustrating. Puzzle elements are obviously well thought out and the lights and sounds were very fun. I ended up paying for parking because their spots were in a lot marked employees only, I think that should be more clear.

Crane Manor was one of the most fun escape rooms I've ever done. The puzzles, and room aesthetics all fit soo well together to give you a real immersive experience. S/O to Lisa for being an amazing game master as well. Can't wait to come back to try another room!

I came here on my birthday with a group of 5 (I love escape rooms!!). Have done probably a dozen or so escape rooms in the last couple of years. We live out towards Baltimore, but my friend and his fiance recommended Clue IQ and said it was super legit (they did the Excalibur one) so I've wanted to come here with my wife (and them) for a while now. What better excuse than for my bday?! This place is amazing. The staff is extremely accommodating and nice. They give you unlimited clues if you need, without deducting time or anything dumb like some other escape room companies do, etc (we only needed to ask for help twice, which I thought was pretty good!). We did Crane Manor (75 minute one)....amazing! To this day and time it's the best escape room that I have done! It has lots of space, great and thoughtful puzzles that involve multiple people and teamwork to solve, with multiple rooms with multiple puzzles to work on simultaneously. There is also really amazing and cool effects in the room. The ambience, lighting, theming and sounds of everything in the rooms are super immersive and really put you in that setting. Clue IQ is highly recommended!! We will definitely be back here and we can't wait to experience all of the other rooms!!

My wife and I had an anniversary date night planned but babysitting fell through. Instead we got last-minute tickets to do the Christmas escape room with our kids (a little out of season in April of course, but it was a perfect theme for the kids). We were afraid that the kids (6 & 9 years old) may get bored or antsy being cooped up, but they had a blast as did we, it was challenging but not crazy hard, and some of the clues were simple enough that the kids were able to help figure them out. It ended up being a memorable and enjoyable anniversary despite the change of plans, would definitely recommend doing for either adults or as a family!

My wife and I love doing escape rooms. We have done roughly around 40 rooms or so in MD, FL, and NYC. Out of all the rooms we’ve done, Blitzkrieg at ClueIQ has been our favorite. The puzzles were unique, the technology was fantastic, the story was exciting and logical, and best of all… it was fun. I would highly recommend ClueIQ to anyone looking for an escape room experience that far surpasses basic puzzles and illogical storylines. Thanks ClueIQ!

The staff were super fun and very helpful and friendly. The experience was so amazing. The effects were great and the puzzles were so creative. Definitely gave us a challenge and had us on our toes. 10/10 experience. I’d go back 100 times more!

Frederick, MD has a few escape room businesses, and Clue IQ is the best. I've played all of their rooms, and they are top-notch. The hosts are clearly huge fans of escape rooms, and it shows in their game-mastering and room design. I also appreciated that they give unlimited hints. Check them out!

Lisa was our game master and did a great job explaining the details throughout.This was our first time doing an escape room. We enjoyed the experience and had fun completing the puzzles which were challenging yet not to frustrating. We participated in blitzkrieg and eventually recovered the artifact.

I love this place! I’ve done a lot of escape rooms and I was super impressed my first time here. I did the Crave Manor room with 3 friends and the puzzles were challenging and so interesting! I was very immersed and had a lot of fun. Lisa was great! Will definitely be back.

What a great time. My family and I completed operation jingle bells. It was such a cute well themed room. Our clue master Lisa was great. Such a sweet personality. Definitely recommend this place.

This place is amazing. It was our 1st time trying an escape room experience. Outstanding staff, fun and challenging puzzles we will definitely be back. Callahan our games master made this a truly memorable experience. CANT WAIT to do it again.

A well designed escape room - we did the Christmas themed one. Completed by three people in about 45 minutes, 1 hint. It was neither super difficult or too easy. The puzzles were logical, organised well, and had variety. Nothing seemed like it needed lucky guesswork. I would go back to try the other rooms.

We are enthusiasts have done close to 100 games, mostly as a two person team.  We did all four of their games.  The games are all great - it's worth a detour to get here if you have wheels and are within an hour or two. The town itself is SUPER cute - if you have never been here before be sure to walk along the river through town. Blitzkrieg 4/5.  It's a solid game.  Great set up and puzzles are intuitive.  It's a bit darker than I'd like to play in.  It's worth doing, but it you *have* to skip one it's the one to skip. Crane Manor.  5/5.  Really great game! Honestly, I felt like I was a complete novice in the room - in a good way. There are several novel puzzles I've never seen anything like before. This game definitely made me think! Super enjoyable room. Operation Jingle Bells. 4.5/5. So Much Fun! Just loved the set and the theme.  Super cute - it was nice to play something just cheery and fun and a theme that just doesn't get done often. Excalibur. 5/5. Great game.  The set was great and the puzzles were good. Again, some super unique puzzles here.  A tough choice between this and Crane Manor but I think this one just barely beats Crane Manor.  Loved it. Overall, four very solid enjoyable games.

We had a great time completing the Crane Manor room on 10/23/22! It was challenging and exciting. The employee working that day, I believe it was Levi, was super friendly and set the stage very well. It was the first time doing an escape room for my wife and I and we will certainly be back.

What a GREAT experience! We had 7 in our group with escape room experience ranging from beginner to experienced. ClueIQ had everything set up so well and the hints were always spot on. Our host Ben was great to work with. We highly recommend this escape room to anyone looking for a fun experience.

This was a birthday present for me. We were looking for something completely different, and something that our family that loves board games and puzzles, including kids could do together on a winter's night. It was a completely great time for all of 8 of us. The place is great, the host is fabulous, and the room we picked was challenging and so much fun and, we surprised ourselves and solved the puzzle with a bit of time to spare. We definitely plan to do another one together . I highly recommend Clue IQ .

This place was awesome. We were there for my wife's birthday. She loved it.The puzzles were amazing and stuff was awesome. Sofia was awesome. We decided to refer to her as Mistress. The place was clean and well lit. Very professional. I hope to go back and do some of the other rooms. Our room held 10 people with no issues.

We did Crane Manor and absolutely LOVED it!! We are super experienced escape gamers and this was hands down in the top 3 games we've done. The puzzles were hard, but not frustrating and the non-linear approach to the rooms was really unique. We also loved how big it was. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My wife and I finished their crane manor room. First time doing an over hour long escape room and was looking forward to it...did not disappoint! Lots of variety with puzzles, awesome set design/ambience, and GM even pulled out a British accent when giving clues or time. Loved it! 10/10 and recommending to all the friends!!

I am in a group of four that has attempted every single room in all three Frederick area escape rooms. This company has some of my favorites. We just did Crane Manor, which is a 75 minute game. This is longer than the traditional 60 minute allotted game. This game in particular was awesome. It was huge and lots of puzzles. I definitely recommend a seasoned team doing this room. Excalibur is also a great room. The room is very nicely constructed and the detail to the room is impressive. The staff is always friendly here and I would highly recommend you go here.

We were visiting from Texas to babysit our grandkids. They didn’t have school so we decided to take them to the Clue IQ Escape Room. We needed something that would be fun for a 14 & 6 year old, so we tried the Operation Jingle Bells. We had never done an escape room before. Steve was awesome in explaining it to us and when our 60 minutes were up we all wanted to keep on playing the escape game. We all had a great time, even the 6 year old! The Clue IQ Escape Rooms has hooked us in wanting to keep coming back. This venue is awesome and I’d recommend it for all ages!

Whole experience was great. Lisa, our "Game Master" was so much fun. She really made the entire experience such a joy. She started out by explaining things and answering our questions. When you entered the room it was like stepping into the fantasy (We had 4 people and did the Excalibur). There was so much to do, each task was challenging and our group throughly enjoyed ourselves. Lisa gave us a few helpful clues that pointed us in the right direction and she did so in a way that was helpful without being too direct. She also stayed in the character of the room. We can't wait to go back and try another room. If you are looking for a fun, entertaining, and challenging time, Clue IQ has everything you are looking for. Come prepared to have a great time!!
