Jane at Reception and Dr Tarapuri were comforting and reassuring while I visited them for an out-of-hours emergency appointment.

Terrible patient care, no appointments available and when you finally get one they refer you to the Royal Hospital which is a joke as we waited 7hrs and still no report or proper feedback. The GP who referred us from the surgery said we would be seen to sooner with the letter he gave us to hand in reception at the Royal but when we got there we had to stand in the que like everyone else and then wait to 3hrs later. After that we waited another 3hrs for anything to be done. My mum is a heart patient so this is a real joke. The PM needs to step up ! Once again I was told to call in at 8am to book an appointment for 2 days in advance but yet again all the appointments had been taken, how is that possible when I had called in on time !!!! How this practice is still open is beyond me ! I’m now having to go to a private consultant. Rishi Sunak you need to do something about terrible places like this !!!! This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star !!! As someone else mentioned a person could literally die and still they wouldn’t be given an appointment !!!!

I have been suffering from a potential UTI for 2 weeks, back and forth from 111 apts, antibiotics and other treatments later I was referred to my GP... Sat with the female doctor I can't pronounce her name, explained my situation and the first thing she said "what do you want me to do about it..." Erm your job maybe? This is just my first experience at this practice a dread anymore. Extremely unprofessional, very unhelpful, the ignorant lady on reception I had to speak to was no better.

Family Medical practice for over 30 years, 50 years of talking about the whole family. Staff are usually friendly bar the odd one or two. Can get appointments when I like usually. Waiting times can be from a few minutes to maybe 40 minutes, but this is quite rare, and even if this does happen, it shows the competency of the medical staff doing their jobs properly. No issues from me and thank you!

A man was at the reception, and asked my wife to leave when she apologised for being 8 minutes late for the appointment. We politely asked him to ask the clinician but he was repeatedly asking us to leave the premises. We said, we are not leaving until the clinician sees my wife because she was in total agony and needed some medical attention. Irrespective of our continual pleading for some medical attention this man was in total denial of any mercy or sympathy. Never had any such rude behaviour from a receptionist and the clinician. The man with the glasses was having a very arbitary approach towards a patient in pain. This place is not to serve but to humiliate the suffering patients. My wife is a staff nurse and she herself has never experienced a similar abusive behaviour at any other places in NHS. Mr Ross was the clinician and the receptionist was Mr Dillon who were totally oblivious towards the pain of a suffering patient who has been serving the NHS diligently for the last 6 years.

I attended the asthma clinic today, and saw the most delightful and knowledgeable young lady. I've had asthma for years, and I found out more about my condition today, than in all of the time I've had it. I want to congratulate this lady, for being so knowledgeable, but absolutely lovely with it. I've been with Merridale for 23 years, and have always had superb treatment, why such an appalling rating, for such a superb practice!!!!

Had a call with a Mark Ross and he lied on his notes about me. Said I walked in unaided. It was a telephone call and I can not walk without crutches. I wanted a medicine review to up my pain meds and anxiety and anti depression meds. I find out he is lowering them. So much fir helping people with mental health. Called twice and all you get is phone up to get another appointment when no Doctors appointments are ever available. Honestly my mental health is going crazy right now.

Have been with the practice for 35 years . Very satisfied with Doctors’ service. The problem , as with other practices, is the system of making appointments and the lack of respect from some of the front staff. I’m usually waiting for an appointment when I have one but yesterday was unusually late (7 mins) due to a taxi problem but was refused the appointment even to wait to the end of the queue. The receptionist couldn’t make another appointment and I was told it’s not ‘an urgent practice’. The Pharmacist next door was very helpful however when I asked him about my symptoms.
