😠 The dentist who saw me was excellent, knew exactly what he was talking about, however the dental students on the bottom floor asking covid questions were beyond rude, a group of about 8 of them asking me if I've had symptoms or tested positive etc, a group of 8?? How can they be so daft 😂 People often mention dentist, students, staff, dental, tooth, hospital, amazing, pain, good, appointment,

Excellent service and friendly staff. Went after I cracked a back tooth and part of it fell out :/ , turned up at 9.30 and was out by 12 after having a good inspection of my mouth, an x ray and then a filling. They are students but they are led by qualified dentists, the young man who sorted my tooth out was in his final year and did an excellent job. Thanks again. Highly recommended.

I went in with severe pain with my mouth, turned out to be an Abscess, and my tooth was dead, the two students that looked after me where both unbelievable I wish I could there names to give them some credit, they where so patient and answered any questions I had wether they where stupid or not as I was panicking a lot! Then dr O’Neil came to check and figured the tooth was going to have to be removed, I was absolutely terrified to get the needle at first, first needle wasn’t two bad, got to the third needle and I did get very emotional but the nurse was there for me holding my hand reassuring that everything was okay, over all I had a really good experience at the dentist hospital I am now at home completely out of pain just a little swelling. They are amazing at there job !

As a medical student myself, I registered for treatment by students at the dental hospital. I found it quite odd to be given an appointment right in the middle of Easter holiday, as I will be away from university at that time (as every other student would be?). Anyway, I rang the number provided to rearrange, and the woman who spoke to me was EXTREMELY RUDE, saying that the hospital can’t be giving out appointments “whenever it suits me”. It is quite hard to describe the level of disregard in writing. In the end, my appointment was cancelled altogether. As a result, I don’t have to say anything about the treatment itself.

Been coming here for years and always been treated very well! The students are great and they are fully supervised. Had a lot of work done over the years here and I used to have a huge fear of the dentist. Now I can come in and out with no anxiety or fear due to the relaxed atmosphere they have. Also the emergency dentists are brilliant as well as all the staff I've spoken to or been seen by!

There's a lady called Tracey Wood at this dental hospital and she is the most caring, amazing, and respected nurse ever. She helped me while I was in pain! And gave me an appointment at my local dentist when they said there's nothing till 30th June. Thank you so much Tracey!

The students are amazing here! So patient, kind, caring and professional. As so are the tutors, nurses and reception staff. Be prepared your appointment may run a little over or a little bit late so allow plenty of time as they are really busy and still learning. I can’t fault the care given here I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

What is the point of calling yourselves a developed country if you can’t provide basic healthcare facilities to the people residing in the country? Visited here thrice and they had excuses every single time to not provide help. It was almost as if they don’t want to do this anymore. Time they close up and utilise this space for something better.

I used to work at the Dental Hospital , been a good while , but I was greeted with lots of hugs , Graham McElligott took my tooth out and was fantastic, the nurses are fabulous, no pain after local anaesthetic wore off , given all necessary information and treated with the best care . Well done all

No stone left unturned, various x-rays and a referral, all in good time too! Liverpool dental hospital has a dedicated team of staff & students. The city is lucky to have it.

Went here after a temporary crown on my very front tooth had fallen out, through no fault of my own, in a very distressed manner hoping for some support and advice. Only to be seen by a rude nurse who told me I have to go to my own dentist (which is fair enough - I will just have to ring in sick to work and travel an hours drive away). However, I have never experienced such disregard from someone who is supposed to provide care. There was absolutely no need for how she treated me and I am angry and upset. If she were in my position I'm sure she'd be upset too.

Just had a molar tooth removed yesterday 🥺had to leave feedback. I cannot thank the staff enough. No one wants a back tooth removed but I'm so glad it's over. The staff were amazing, the girls are so nice. Asking if I was ok and the male dentist kept me informed of all that was happening. Excellent treatment all round. I was so nervous but didn't feel a thing. I would recommend going here, I wouldn't hesitate to go again. Great job thank you all so much 🙏🦷😀😀

Today I had my back 2 molar teeth removed, Alex, Matilda and Professor Dawson where extremely pleasant, reassuring and very patient. They did an awesome job and are a credit too themselves and the hospital as a whole. Many thanks 👌🏻

This place isn’t fit for purpose, called a number of times and left a VM. No one’s ever called me back I got through today. Wasn’t any help and was always eating a sandwich while talking to me. I felt I was eating the sandwich with them. Very unhelpful wasn’t listening to me. Had to repeat my self 3 times. I work in a call center my self so I know how to talk.

You would half expect a Dental Hospital to help right? I’m sure your experience differs to mine. I was asked by the Out of hours emergency dentist and the 111 service to attend the Dental hospital. Sadly I’m not registered with a NHS practice due to a Covid 19 pandemic no surgeries are taking on patients I was asked to attend at 8:30am and there would be limited space. Gladly I was one of the fortunate ones to get slot. The staff came across very rude and impolite and arrogant and passive aggressive towards me. Both the receptionist and the dental advisor I spoke to were very rude. And very unprofessional. They said in plain terms they couldn’t help me and I would be waiting for weeks. Also the hospital is ran by students and can’t do half of the dental procedures a regular dentist can. I was unaware of a dental hospital was ran by students still in training and are unable to do in-depth procedures. I put serious complaint in to the NHS complaints and welfare team. As it’s a basic human right to help and assist. The way I was treated today was awful. I’ve put the names of the two staff members involved to the complaints team and a full investigation and enquiry is being made. Best idea is to go private if you can afford it.

I used to come here when I was in my teens to remove four wisdom teeth out. The dentist surgeon was really nice at the time and very helpful. He no longer works there. Now they take on trainee dentist students and dentists who are not as friendly or approachable. Having worked here in the past and seen what the waiting list is like, I would rather go private than wait 18 weeks on their pathway programme to get an appointment.

What a fantastic place!!! In severe pain before the bank hol weekend & been getting worse for 3 weeks Dr Lord & his lovely dental nurse & amazing students & and staff appt nice reception team sorted me out no problems. As a Haemophilliac no other dentist would touch me / remove the fractured tooth down to its nerve. I cannot thank these guys enough for all they do for the community. Extremely happy & no offence I hope I’m not back but if so I be so at ease for these guys. I love you all & what amazing service! I would give 10* if I could!!!!!! Thank you. Heaps Bless you all! The students and instructor surgeons here were outstanding! Very patient, kind, caring and professional. Also, the tutors, nurses and reception staff are too. An appointment may run late or longer then scheduled, so allow plenty of time as they are really busy and still learning although you wouldn't think it, I can only put this down to the dedication to their enthusiasm for their field. I have read the negative reviews written, but maybe this happened in the passed with maybe COVID protocols in place, or some miscommunication occurred, I don't know. I was not there, but I didn't see any hierarchy issues in the training and education format, nor did anyone treat me with contempt. I can’t fault the care given here I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I went in on Wed last, with a serious pain in my last upper Molar LHS. The first team analyse the situation and action a plan. the tooth was decayed nearly to the root. it way clear for they x-ray they took. Amazingly, They managed to get me into an appointment for Friday at 10:30 for a tooth extraction. The procedure didn't go that smoothly, (no fault of the surgical crew, just Murphy's law, which I was explained pe-op could happen), and I have to admit, since having my Wisdoms pulled at age 12/13, (I cannot quite remember), I'm 50 now, I was nervous. this would be my first (awake) one since However, with the student's and instructor's professionalism, and good friendly attitude, with a bit of humour thrown in (Humour can be the best medicine), they had my relaxed in no time at all. My hats go of to these people. In my opinion, it was the best experience at a dental clinic in my life. A special note of thanks goes out to the Instructor Surgeon. She did look somewhat tired at the end, but i can understand this. The crown broke off, the molar had 4, not 3 roots, it took about over 1 hour to complete the procedure, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who participated. :-))

The attitude of the staff needs to change the way they talk to you. They think they are better than patients just shut up and take a long hard look at yourselves you aren't perfect OK. Also there was a student dentist who did my daughter teeth both needed root canal treatment. OK This is how it started. My daughter who just turned 16 who has learning disabilities difficulties etc. All down on her notes etc. When the dentist was asking about her teeth my daughter wasn't saying to the dentist so I told the dentist why we came and what the problem was. The attitude of the dentist my god was so awful she turned around and said it's not you that I'm working on with the teeth I said my daughter was not answering you was she. So I told you what the issue was. This dentist who did my daughter teeth. The work on her teeth were so awful. My daughter ended up in the Royal hospital with a severe infection from this dentist dental surgery work. She had to be on a drip and her heart beat was racing as well. She was on antibiotics for over a month. This dentist had the never to ring me up and say bring your daughter back. I will take a look at the infection. I said she's been on them for over a month and they infection gone now. The dentist said oh yeah. The attitude of this dentist she should not talk to people this way her. I hope she has improved how she is I did make a complaint to my own dentist about her. I hope they have dealt with it.

My son has been under the dental for nearly 2 years.Backwards and forwards was a joke with my son ,who has adhd and no body understands the challenges I have to get him there in the first place.Never missed appointments ever, and I mean ever. Then gets to another appointment and procedure never done again. So I wasnt very happy with this ,asked them to just refer me back to my dentist. Then a student nurse has reported me to social services.I am so upset that a nurse ,who is only training, and probably hasnt got children herself can do this to me and my son.I am totally disgusted with this treatment. And will never go back to to place ever again
