Shocking state of disrepair. Out of order signs everywhere. All the benches and squat racks are falling apart, which could have been avoided if staff just checked the equipment and went round with an allen key to tighten screws. Nothing provided to clean equipment down with. Weightlifting floor falling apart. Showers are tepid most of the time. Carabiner clips on cables are either missing or broke. Prowler sled broke. I'd be willing to bet that a year on from this post, none of the above will be fixed.

Terrible maintenance. Terrible short term membership prices they’ve insisted on only providing for members due to pending building lease coming to a close, but it’s been nearly two years now so members are out of pocket if you want to pay cash up front for the year which worked out cheaper than monthly or their current short term memberships. Management should still maintain the gym but it’s run down and not looked after well. The GM also installed CCTV in the pool area and didn’t inform women only members (mainly Muslim women who cannot be seen by men) that this new change took place so some of us found out by seeing the camera and after making inquiries were informed by the receptionist that male staff can see us on camera in the pool area. I complained that the lack of privacy for Muslim women was now at stake and that we should had been at least informed by email so we could make a decision whether to go swimming on a Sunday or not. No email or comms was circulated by the GM and it’s been almost 3 months.

Reception staff is quite impolite and unfriendly. I do not recommend.

A good gym that welcomes all people. Plenty of classes and top notch instructors for those who want to build a fitness program.

I’ve always not been a big fan of going to gyms. But since joining this one & having weekly sessions with a personal trainer, I’ve changed my opinion completely. There’s so many different machines etc to work out with. It is often busy but never completely full. Also staff are wonderful in supporting disabled customers; especially those with a visual impairment.

Showers freezing cold AGAIN. Leg press machine has had an out of order sign on it for a month because it rattles slightly. The guilty bolt is secured with a Nylock Nut (impossible to fall off) and could basically be ‘fixed’ with an Allen Key and adjustable spanner in about 20 seconds. Either things are getting signs stuck on them and not reported or you need a better arrangement with your repair contractor.

Equipment is almost always faulty and never gets repaired. The worst part for me is that it is Winter, it’s-2 degrees outside, and 4 out of 5 days per week the water in the showers is not even lukewarm!!🥶 people have complained and nothing gets done

Tulketh Street branch is cheep and cheerful & so is full of teenagers especially in the evenings. The Ocean Plaza branch has good quality equipment along with a good pool with two Jacuzzis with a popular steam. However the gents changing rooms are in an urgent need of repair. Both locations are kept pristinely clean and staff friendly

Brilliant gym, great staff, never really too busy around this time of year.

Excellent value. My husband always got to dancefit with KAT every Sunday morning. Fabulous class and really keeps us going to the gym. All staff are pleasant and friendly.

Going to everlast gym to loose some weight I've ballooned to back to 23 stone I need to lose 5 stone or more and got induction by Dan he is a personal trainer very good advice on running machine and other equipment in everlast.from Adrian

Walls may need a bit of paint, but all the equipment you can want is available over 3 floors and not overly crowded. Staff are friendly and always helpful

Very good value for money.

Good gym, plenty of equipment, even have a deadlift podium thingy. Clean changing rooms with enough showers etc... You also get free parking for being a member which is great. My only complaint is that you have to bring your own water, there is no water fountain to fill up. Luckily the guys at the desk will fill it up for you if you ask but it would be nice to have an ice cold water fountain for self service.

Had a bad encounter with one of the PT's who was extremely rude, I approached the counter to complain to the staff, the guy on duty was nice but couldn't really help. Its only £5 a month so I don't expect more. Its good if you want a cheap option but if you want service then go somewhere else.

Great facilities, but the PTs (mainly Tiny Roberts) are just obnoxious and damage the equipment more than members. It is now impossible to book in online and their phone is never answered

I attended the gym this morning at 11.10 and was surprised to see how many were already there using the equipment. This suggests that some gym users are not leaving at the end of their designated time slot. There are far too many people in the gym which has resulted in very little social distancing. The two most problem areas in the gym are the free weights area and gym floor where gym users are working out inches apart. Suggestions are to reduce the number of gym users in each time slot; ensure that gym users leave at their end of their time slot; the two active treadmills in front of the changing rooms, should be further apart; clearly marked taped designated workout/boxed areas; proactive gym presence on the gym floor; lights on in the studio which can encourage gym users to workout in there especially during busy times and regular tanoy announcement reminders regarding cleaning the equipment and social distancing. Are Everlast able to confirm thd maximum number of gym users allowed in a session?

Really well run gym with friendly, dedicated, attentive staff and a wide variety of equipment. Always clean and tidy, frequented by a cross section of ages, both for classes and general gym workouts. Less busy pre 4pm, as with most gyms, but it's big enough and has enough equipment to ride out peak times without too much competition for equipment. Only downside in evenings is large groups of teenagers who won't do anything independently, so stand around, next to friends on machines, staring, slack jawed, at other gym users like they were watching TV. Can be a bit unnerving.

I love this gym! I've never felt so at home in a gym, incredibly friendly staff and teachers, and a great range of classes on offer. I visit on my lunch breaks and always leave feeling better. Also it's such a perk having a pool at such a low monthly price

Today it was my first and last time when I come to gym! Hygiene =1 ,Equipment =1, the water was everywhere it's terrible how to start warm up if you are 'wet' all ready 😂 water come from ceiling - was raining today haha also if you want a jump roper you must to find the places because ceiling is so low and if you want use studio even if is empty and no one use at that time. you must book end pay 25£ 😂

Going to this gym for half a year already. It's a good local gym. Good value for money. Everything that is needed for gym is there, I also like that it is a 3 floor building, not a basement like some gyms out there. Also I am working with a good personal trainer whom I trust. Staff is friendly. It also has a small swimming pool, not ideal, buy good to have after sauna and steam room. Giving 4 stars because it's a bit old, especially showers.

Awful service.

They are running scam of 4.99/ week. While registering they confirmed that if I don't like gym I can cancel. Now they are like you have to pay for 12 months even if you don't attend gym it would be deducted from your account. If I compare the equipments with the gym group east Croydon very less. Also few of the machines not in good condition. Due to social distancing again few of the machines cannot be used and that machines do not have duplicate if it. Dumbles are not in such a good condition. Only thing bus swimming pool if you wish to pay 20£ for it monthly 🤪 I commented the same thing on their Facebook post so scared they are that they deleted the comment immediately. Lolz

Nice little gym

Unbeatable gym considering value for money as all classes, pool, jacuzzi and use of all machines in included. Staff os very friendly and helpful. Love the ladies only area although not all machines can be found there. Some corners of the gym need some work (repairs, paint, etc.) but happy to turn a blind eye considering all the positive aspects.

Very good gym. Have everything what i need. Also they spa is perfect. 2 tyoe of saunas, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Amazing 🙂

I had a really good time here with Eliot - flipping the big tire and jumping on the jump boxes etc - until Eliot started pretending he was a gym instructor - i hate it when he pretends to be an expert on things he knows nothing about.

I did a body pump class.

Basic but don't let that stop you visiting. Gum is well stocked and never crowded. Pool is a little small but if you don't mind laps it's a nice way to spend a lunch.

A small, friendly gym with a variety classes to choose from to keep you motivated if you have had enough of the machines and a pool with a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi which helps to melt away the stresses of modern life! 👍😌

Not so expensive,but you will get all services that you need for your daily - life fitness. Organizanized group classes are wonderful! However, yoga and dance classes should be more frequent !

Friendly and friendly staff, lots off different classes on, l do yoga class's from 10am for an hour great teacher and feel great afterwards. Ladies changing rooms are very grubby could do with upgrading specially the lockers a lot look battered. Otherwise is a nice gym to visit and relax on Sunday mornings. I use l paysyou gym pay £6.20 to use the gym all day very good valuable and affordable.

Being a plus sized person I was scared of being judged! But everyone is lovely here! Staff very friendly and helpful too!

Friendly atmosphere, easy to use equipment, upkeep is often and area very clean, however, some problems with equipment being broken fairly often, but are fixed quite quickly. Recommend.

I needn't have been apprehensive about going back to this gym after 5 months, but going back today was a very pleasant surprise. Not only were numbers of people limited (as was the equipment) but the place was well managed throughout. Plenty of Covid procedures in place, etc. Not surprising since everyone there would be keen to look after themselves, but great to see everyone was diligent in wiping equipment before and after use. Will be back on Tuesday. Well done, Everlast!

First visit, nobody on reception, and I couldn't see where group exercise area was as there is no signage so had to interrupt someone to ask. Main gym looks good, but group exercise room felt unclean and smelled like sweaty feet. Didn't enjoy

Gym equipment never gets fixed, full of kids under the age of 16 sure this can't be allowed? I have tried to downgrade numerous times but staff have failed to process resulting in me being charged the full amount. 100% avoid this gym

Showers are freezing once AGAIN!!🥶 Not to mention that the number of equipment out of order increases more and more and none is fixed anytime soon. But the worst for me is really the showers.😤 Paying for a membership only to find out that after my 2 and half hours workout a freaking cold shower is what awaits me when it's 0° degrees outside is mad 😡 If I wasn't tied to a contract I wouldn't stay with this gym especially now when new ones are coming up in Southport, more modern ones, gyms that are up to date and don't require you to be with them under a contract.

Decent gym but overcrowded at most times of the day and faulty equipment doesnt ever get replaced or repaired. A couple of the handles on the adjustable benches have been broken for months, some of the caribeeners on the cable equipment are broken and general equipment maintenance just doesn't seem to happen. Was a good gym when it first opened but I don't think any money has been invested in equipment since then.
