Took my two boys 5 and 2 for a swim. Only to be told we can’t go in because it’s a one to one ratio. I understand it’s for safety but they both have arm bands wouldnt leave my side and wouldnt leave the shallow end. We have been swimming multiple times before and never experienced anything like this. We was all ready in are swim stuff an drove a fair bit to get there an both boys was upset to be turned away. Isn’t that what lifeguards are for? Also make it more clear on the website so people don’t waste there day time and money getting there. So silly that a mother can’t take her two children swimming on her own in the summer holidays.

Guinea gap now up and running for swim training pool and leisure pool , hand sanitizer in place some people wear masks , there are lockers and cubicles available ,some people like to leave the clothes in cubicles especially the large ones , bit annoying . And round side of pool . The leisure pool on Saturday and Sunday can get very busy . Hopefully in near future the whole place could do with a deep clean , staff are good and really helpful . swimming lessons are like gold long waiting list

Grandson loves the pool, it was not too crowded, could have done with more showers, I learned to swim there when the water was salty, properly busy today they are selling swimming gear now like goggles etc. Not cheap but handy to know, I have dodgy knees so sit the ten or fifteen minutes to pay for the 45 minutes, 45 minutes is the time allotted for you to get ready and swim, to be fair it's fair 😉 we always go trunks on and remember your 20 p coin for the locker 👍 To be fair we'd be lost without this facility.

Ali is a super lovely member of staff at guinea gap. The place would fall apart with her. She's always a great listener and will go out of her way to help you in any way she can.

Just joined the aqua aerobics. Love it. Staff are welcoming. The facilties are excellent considering the age of the building. We'll worth a visit.

Love going here swimming 2/3 times a week, gym is good too. Can get very busy in training pool but not a problem. The lockers unfortunately always seem to be broken as they're jammed with change, some of the changing cubicles need a completely massive deep clean and would be good if there was an extra drin in the family change area as its sometime like another pool in there. Still gonna go every week tho

Warm friendly staff, which put up with alot of flack from the general public. Water zumba is a must. Fun and really good exercise.

Signed up myself, two sons and nephews so we could use the gym and other facilities. The staff are excellent, knowledgeable and always happy to help. The facilities are clean and there is a great atmosphere. I highly recommend signing up and using these great services. I just hope that with pending cuts, we do not loose access to these services and team. Great work, and thanks for your support GG Team.

Went to a Combat class at 9.30am on Friday... It was amazing. Best I've been to. Will be attending again next week, and for the forseeable future!

Love these pools for both leisurely swims & lanes. Always welcomed by staff & have been swimming here for over 20 years. Worth a visit to read the history & see a traditional building still used by all ages.

Arrived at 1.30pm for the parents and tots swim after calling in advance to ask whether it was on, was told yes and to turn up with out booking, to be told on arrival it doesn't run during the holidays. After waiting half an hour, we entered the swimming baths with two bored children to find it was extremely unhygienic, smelt of urine, rubbish on the floor goodness knows when the floor was last cleaned, pool was okay but as you walk into the pool area there is a soaking wet rug that is unavoidable to stand on and is probably crawling with bacteria, will not be going back.

Staff hard working,very friendly,and attentive, pool nice and clean showers nice and hot, lockers in good condition. Supposed to be a training pool , however, Unfortunatly too many in pool some people just walking from one end to the other and have to swim around or stop and start becoming un enjoyable experience and cannot have a relaxing swim

Been bringing my son here every day for the last couple of weeks for lessons and family swim sessions. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Really worth while getting the family invigorate passes to use the facilities. Will be checking out the other facilities soon.

It's been a while..... have they spruced the place up? fixed the showers and lockers, cleaned the windows, opened the cafe? I'd like to go back. Too many municipal pools have declined thanks to the Tories. I see from previous reviews that the management do not respond, do not explain or apologise. Can anybody name the Manager? Its like they want fewer customers for an easy life. So what is the point of this website?

Great place for mom's and tots swim sessions.

For the price and time. Its great for my two little girls Aged 3 + 5. They never want to get out. I do miss the old soup and drinks machine from years gone

For its age, it has a good range of facilities in reasonable condition.

Staff friendly and helpful. Swimming instructors lovely. Seating available during busy lessons is a bit of a pain. No seats upstairs which would be good.

Clean, well organised, friendly staff. Limited swim times for the lane pool due to schools and clubs. Check their website before you go.

Excellent place either for a swim or to go the gym across the road.

The Royal Navy club is opposite the Guinea Gap Baths being ex Navy the club has a welcoming atmosphere everyone is welcome at the club you dont have to be ex forces or still serving give it a try.

Hi I came here to swim in my school the staff might know me it’s Izzy from hillside primary school and I loved comming here! I loved it so much here that my mum is trying to sign me up for more lessons here! Haha xx The staff are very friendly and my parents sometimes visit the gym many of times! They tell me that the place is good!

Gym is booked in advance to limit numbers and cleaning stations and bins next to all equipment. Changing rooms still closed as is drinking fountain but toilets still available. All in all top marks for keeping centre open and putting in safety protocol to hopefully remain so

Lovely life guards and swimmers. Only drop a star because they are unable to covid safe the showers so you are not allowed to use them.

Water is highest possible purity But difficult to swim through when the water is at times at it most densest

My children and I love this place as it is quieter than other pools and the pool is perfect for those lacking confidence in deep water

Brilliant leisure centre, swimming pool great too swim in .Nice and cool to get your lengths in. Changing rooms spotless, staff very friendly and make you feel welcome

Brilliant pool great for the family. The only issue is space in the family changing area is tight when busy.

Great place for children's swimming lessons, very patient instructors who are great with the kids.

Great pool for little ones. Nice and warm and loads of shallow area to get confident.

Went for 'family' swim, no different fromany swim. Went with young child and when asked had any toys/inflatables told the swimming instructors don't want them putting out- we didn't stay long. Could be cleaner
