My experience with exercise 4 less was quite positive especially from the staff and gym setup, plenty of equipment and staff was helpful.Please be aware if you're travelling in by car as I didn't realise you only have 2 hours parking and I went over by 15 minutes and got a £75 parking ticket from parking eye the car park monitoring company.Tried to contact both companies but got no response to explain the overstay(my first visit)I won't be taking out a membership after my £5 trial or visiting the other shops on that site.

Great gym. However recently two really strange guys have joined who are intent on filming other members and each other. This is very disconcerting, management are not interested. For this reason I would suggest you join a different gym..

Best gym is St.Helens and only 14.99 anytime access with no contract. Includes all the classes too. A bargain I tell thee!

Large quantity of equipment, great boxing/kickboxing bag stand, plenty of machines and weights. lots of treadmills, bikes, eliptiy trainers. Negatives, the staff are never there in the evenings, those who are don't care, and on the few occasions I've been here the athmosphere isn't good. The changing rooms and showers had a distinctively bad smell of urine. My previous 1-2 star but courteous review looks to have been deleted, hence repeating the review. Rather than remove the review, communicate that the issues have been addressed. Developing from you're issues shows character and integrity.

This gym needs a serious upgrade.

Absolutely disgusting, money grabbing company. Was told by the general manager to continue my weekly personal training payments as the credits could roll. Shortly after my PT goes on a three week holiday and I am told that the ones I have accumulated I am unable to get a refund or use the other trainers. After complaining to head office they’ve gone back on what they said and reluctantly agreed to let me have the sessions I am owed with a different trainer. Their attitude has made me no longer feel welcome in the gym and I have asked for my money back. They’ve argued that too much time has passed and they cannot process a refund for me. Had they not lied to me, and if they’d sorted my issue straight away, I wouldn’t be in this situation. Disgusting customer service, awful gym with lots of the equipment out of service and liars in charge. You should be ashamed of yourselves Xercise4Less. Will never use this company again and will advise strongly to everyone to avoid it. Just tried to cancel my "contract free" membership and have been told that I will be charged extra for breaking the contract! What a joke!

This gym has really gone downhill from the gleaming start 12 months ago. Plates are everywhere other than where they should be. Members have to constantly march around the gym, tripping over stranded plates, bars and dumbbells to find what they need (you might note that the pictures taken aren't even in peak hours so there aren't any excuses other than laze). The music and TV's are off 15 minutes before close. Two or three members of staff stand chatting at the front doors whilst one has to painfully break the flow of conversation to force a hello to the new arrivals. Most of the staff here do not seem to care anymore, the only one I see acting with any enthusiasm is the cleaner, who can regularly be seen wiping down equipment, even in busy periods. Back to pure gym for me!

Absolute disgrace . Customer service from the lady I just spoke to was 0. Rude and at some points of the call Bullying. Cancelled my membership and been hounded buy the Gangsters Harlands for outstanding payments.

Experience ruined by company handling payment plan

Absolutely fantastic. Even after lockdown you can go anytime you like between 6am to 10pm and stay as long as you like. Still lots of classes and they've now increased space in the classes so more people can take part. Its clean and a bargain at 9.99 a month

It's all self entry now which is boss. Just type in your pin which is emailed or use the Xercise4less gym app to scan in. Sound as a pound!

Love this place, however cable's keep snapping, and everyone I speak to, says we need more cable cross over machines. Also very basic equipment is lacking.

Very spacious with all equipment and following covid guidelines

Decent gym, nice staff, repair times on machines is sometimes a bit long. Air conditioning system could be improved.

Good gym, cheap and quiet. Only complaint would be that weights are left everywhere. You don't need a program going into this gym, just go around picking up the plates and you'll get the best workout you ever had. Rule 1 of any gym: Put your weights back, strip the bar when you're done. Staff are great but need to start enforcing this rule more and hold offenders accountable, literally no one follows it.

Misled by both xercise4less and harlands the direct debit company. Paid my membership off as was told I'd have to call and cancel one day before it technically ran out. I called and on this day they said I'd have to pay another months membership despite previously being informed I'd paid it off. Once you are in a 12 month membership it is virtually impossible to pay it off or get out. Please be careful.

Easy going chilled nice staff

Tried to park in disabled bays selfish gym users parked in them so my disabled wife had to walk twice the distance.

I was a member for 2 years and the equipment was ok .i was injured at work and could that freeze my membership till I can train again that said yes .12 months later that had still been takeiing the cash I asked for a refund and showed them my email that they had sent me and that just said no never again will I train there

Nice clean gym,but i joined a boxercise class that was always full and enjoyable but it was stopped after 2 weeks due to politics as the trainer did not work for the gym. it seems the gym would rather make you pay for a PT or a class that has nobody in, doesn't start due to no trainer or isn't enjoyable.

Great gym lots of equipment Lots of classes ,plus professional advice perfect for me. This was a while ago now,and although I still use this gym,it's not what it was after being taken over

Me and the local community footy team train here when we're in this neck of the woods. Great gym, spacious free studio to use and good parking space

Lots of machinery and staff very helpful when you deal with them. Only complaint is some people aren't the most hygienic after using a machine but the staff generally look after this

I’ve been training here for an year now. It is a lovely place with a wide range of equipments.✌🏾

Been going for over a year. Decent gym and good selection of equipment. Still waiting for the full refurbishment though, was told they're updating the changing rooms and opening out the gym (removing the women only area) but plans might have changed. Would be great if they had before work and lunchtime classes as well.

Decent quality budget gym. Understaffed but they really do try their best to manage. Kits tends to be in good condition but maybe a little dated. Recently aquired by JD Gyms and will be interested to see how this gym evolves under their guidance.

Everywhere has room for improvement and there are a couple of bits of kits that are looking a little raggedy but for the cost it's a really well equipped space, especially with the amount of benches and free weight space available. The staff are lovely the vibe is welcoming and it's always really clean so there really is nothing to complain about especially not for 15 quid a month

I love the place but i know its a long shot but ill like if there was a boxing cage or somewhere you could safely spar your friends because ive done it before and its a great work out and practice if that happend 5 star.

Always fairly quiet. Lots of equipment, nice atmosphere, music isn't too loud. Staff are always happy to help

Great Gym. Could be slightly cooler IMO but otherwise sufficient. Some of the weights and handles need to be put back in there place by staff more often though.

Be aware.. if you join this gym and cancel you will be stuck with a company called "harlands". Check them out on Google, you'll continuously get charged with no explanation.

Didn't give me an induction should show everyone how to use the machines especially when you've never been before. Staff were not very helpful told me to find a PT if one was working which I find unprofessional and then tried to cancel was told I had cancelled but went to a debt collectors after I refused to pay because I had cancelled with them. Not one but twice that happened should never of gone back. Awful gym don't waste your time.

It's a great gym. The place is cheap, with a full range of equipment, workout sessions, the app helps a lot too. Would recommend. In fact I have done to 4 of my friends.

Changing rooms are cold locker boxes are small

Had a years membership of this place, very good location and nobody tries to talk to you while you’re working out which is always good. would recommend if you’re starting off in fitness

Dreadful changing rooms and awful atmosphere. Stayed there for the year but then left. It was only cheap so can’t complain too much but just not for me.

It has everything you'd expect from a chain Gym. It wouldn't hurt to update some the equipment and get rid of the useless stuff

You get what you pay for at the end of the day, personally if i had known about this gym i would never have joined. They use harlands to collect there payments which i cant understand why they cant do it themselves. Never returning to these gyms.

Good gym and good equipment but machines poorly serviced and when they do break it can be months before they are fixed and there's no heating so always freezing cold in a morning in winter but gym is always clean .Ok new update today's date 14/06/19 both pec deck are not working (1 has not worked for about 2 weeks) half the pins are missing so you have to go round and take them off other machines I know it's a cheap gym but you still expect to able to use the machines

I like the lay out of the gym, and it doesn't seem to get to busy.

exercise 4 less only 1 down side turn the air conditioning off during the winter and but the heating on then come summer but air conditioning on and turn off heater see all staff in there coats frezzing management need to get agrip on people who cant but there weights bk 😊😊

Good budget Gym. The only issue is, there is often a few broken machines.

Good place and separate room for women and no contract

This gym is one of the best I've ever been in. It has a good selection of equipment and the layout is easy to use. The place is kept very clean in all areas, the staff work hard and it shows. Sthelens 4less is the best to visit I've found, except the car park has a time limit and if you overstay you get a ticket, 2 hours are not enough at peak times in my view.
