Meals beach is a great location, lovely views and a lot easier to park than west kirby, lots of on street parking, great for walks and cycling along the promenade, great sunsets, one of my favourite places in the wirral, so relaxing

A large expanse of sand. When the tide goes out it is difficult to see the sea. It is rather quiet and therefore a great place to allow dogs to roam freely. On looking out to sea and to your left you can see a large off-shore wind farm. Looking directly at the sea then turn right you can see the River Mersey , the shipping Lane and the docks and identifiable large red container cranes.

Lovely place to come for a walk… shame the beach is starting to turn into grass land. Hope people realise that first the grass then the marsh grasses and then the dreaded mosquitoes just like in Neston and parkgate that bite most of the summer and autumn…. Also wish dog owners would pick up their dog poo…

Since they moved the groynes so all the sand would be trapped at hoylake this beach has been turned into a mud bath, which is now dangerous to venture out onto it, best avoided until the groynes are removed and this once great beach is restored.

Stunning views across the bay, the tides been out most of the day and the sands look treacherous for quick sand but there where cockles and walkers further out. Some fabulous walks along the promenade or coastal defence walk. The WC block was locked over the 24grs I visited. Not many cafes or shops on the front but it's 16 mins walk to fabulous Maple cafe on the Park road holiday park. Sand kiting a d karting on the beach and good always, excellent parking facilities- free plus overnight parking for campervanss in secluded spot

Nice beach, great for walking the dogs or just strolling along. Nice for an evening summer walk too.

Mostly mudflats and fine wet sand at low tide when I went. More sand and less mud further along the beach towards the Wirral though. I recommend to wear wellies as you can sink into the sand/ mud in places. The best things are the views across the beach of all the little boats and the different birds. I think sunrise and sunset would be spectacular. The beach runs parallel to the Wirral Country Park footpath which is a much easier path to walk on and still see all the views. You can park along the beach parade for free as far as I could make out. Otherwise there is a well signposted car park a bit further along.

Hoylake/Meols and West Kirkby beachs is being spoilt by growths! They will end up like Park Gate! Require looking after so that the Wirral northern coast maintains its beauty.

A lovely area and view. Spoilt by the grass and vegetation growing through the sand. Also is that oil on the beach in some areas? What a shame. Council sort it out, it should be a beauty spot, not an eyesore!

Meols 6th February 2022 Sea Scape Lovely place, I just wish the council would clean up the grass growing on the sand. People need open spaces just to relax.
