Called in here last night. Packed out, and overflowing onto street seating. Had some great beers, met some lovely people including the owner Mark. A really positive feeling about the place, and a great choice of beers at sensible prices. The staff were even kind enough to recommend another craft ale pub in Hoylake, for which many thanks. I have already recommended the place, and indeed New Brighton, to close friends.

Wonderful Craft Ale bar. Warm and friendly. Great staff who really know their stuff. Plus... the cabinet of joy. Lots of enticingly unusual ales from independent brewers. Very recommended.

At the end of a nice Wirral north coast walk a beer was our deserved reward. We looked at the bars on offer, The Beagle had a good rating. We were not disappointed. Cool bar, warm welcome, nice customers. We will be back.

Fantastic place..small but perfectly formed. Very popular so not always easy to get a table. Large selection of craft beers, nice gins and other drinks. Pleasant atmosphere and just a stones throw from the waterfront at New Brighton.

We've rediscovered Victoria Road in the last few months and are regulars at The Beagle. A regularly changing selection of small brewery beers means you'll always find something to your taste. You can sit outside when the sun shines and watch the world go by. It's also dog friendly, even though I'm not!

Went there yesterday with my partner, the guy behind the bar really had no social skills and was quite rude (two customers left). My partner wanted some dead man finger and was told in an arrogant way that he does not have it as it can be found anywhere and he wants to be more sophisticated (he had pink Gordon's gin though and vodka Smirnoff behind his shoulder which we found hilarious). Then was "teaching" us that rum should be mixd with juice (and he had none). The inside of the pub is pleasant and it was nice and quiet.

A great little place and, like it's sister pub in Upton, the best pub in the area. The beer selection is always top rate and in excellent condition. If you like real ale this place is a must. Keg selection ain't bad either. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Great little pub offering delicious varieties of real ales, ciders and lagers. Small but cozy, quirky, simple and basic place which can only be a good thing as it focuses the attention on the beer and the company

Lovely local bar, great beer selection, friendly staff and really good music. Can't wait for the next visit!

What could have been a great evening was spoiled by dogs barking loudly enough for us to not hear ourselves speak. The bar staff didn't do anything, and we felt had it been kids or adults being extremely loud, they'd have soon been over. I love dogs, etc, but these owners should have taken them outside. Beer was good, so I'm sad about the overall experience.

Great little local boozer that sells many new guest ales and often unheard of beers. Located in the buzzing Victorian Quarter, it has seating for around 30 people internally and about 12 outside too. Bar staff, often one of the owners, always have great knowledge of all the drinks they are selling.

Becky’s Brekky’s are boss! I was good, thinking of my figure ‘Twiggy’ from the Royale Family, and went for a large and not the mega but I was tempted. I can tell you a large filled me who is a large lad! Quality and service were great.

Simply the best bar in New Brighton and probably the Wirral. Friendly staff, great beer (that changes regularly so always something new to try), dog friendly so your furry friend is just as welcome as you. Also the best punters who will make you feel welcome whether your diets visit or your hundredth. Visit you will not be disappointed.

A wonderful micro pub serving a variety of real ales, stouts, lagers and ciders, Plus gins and other spirits so most drinkers will be catered for. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Best range of ale in Wirral! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dog friendly, so seen a few lovely pooches, still yet to take our dogs, perhaps in the quieter times as can get very busy and a bit sweaty. Will definitely be returning.

👍 This is one of the closest pubs to home but I haven't eaten here for years. Gave it a try on a sunny Tuesday evening and it was pretty good! The pub wasn't too busy but there were more people in than I expected on a Tuesday, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and helpful....

👍👍 Had to downgrade our review unfortunately. Went back tonight for the steak night. The food was tasty but we were asked how we wanted the steaks cooked, we both asked for medium rare however I would say they were well done and quite dry. I could have complained but they were edible. If the chef can't...
