Great location overlooking the beach with outside seating as well. Very reasonable prices and Vegan/healthy options on the menu. Great disabled parking right by the entrance.

Much improved since my last visit some time ago. Unbeatable location for a chain bar and restaurant. QR Odes remain post covid so table service is easy.. Of course there's a little wait time when it's busy, that's why they give you drinks first and let you help yourself to the salad bar. It's decent value for what it is, food was all hot and fresh and served relatively quickly given it was a sunny day. Can't fault it for a bit of lunch or dinner by the beach. If you're wanting fine dining, you'll want Sheldrakes on the other river. The staff are attentive and friendly given the pace of things, so some of the reviews feel unfair based on my experience but that's the world we live in. Super Dog friendly too. Keep it up, team. You're doing just fine

Hadn't been here for several years and decided to take my wife to celebrate my birthday. BIG MISTAKE!! Met by a male on entering and told it was a 45 minute wait for food, handed menus and told to find a table. Examined the menu and ordered piri piri chicken with a side of garlic bread for myself, beef burger for my wife. Ordered two drinks and got the impression from the barstaff that they were finger me a favour by serving me and taking my money! Sat down with our drinks. True to their word, our meals were brought to us after 45 minutes, my first impression was the chicken looked overdone, it was black. I was starving, so I persevered, unfortunately I found the chicken, the chips and the garlic bread to be dried out and lukewarm, as if it had spent the 45 minute waiting time on the warming shelf waiting to be brought to the table! My wife's burger was similar, lukewarm and having the texture of corrugated cardboard! The people on the next table who had been studying the menu, saw our meals and left without ordering anything! Upon leaving there was no one available to hear my complaint. I appreciate the place was busy, but I could not recommend it to anyone and will certainly not be returning any time soon!

Atmosphere is good. Free salad bar with main menu order. I was happy to get a Bizzi bag for a small child. It was also nice to be able to take a walk on the beach in front of the children when they got tired of sitting. Unfortunately, the waffle we ordered for dessert was not good at all.

A friendly pub close to the seaside ideal for a quick bite with family and friends. The staff is really nice and the food very good. I tried the southern chicken burger and it was very tasty. The price is reasonable and the outside tables are ideal as in front of the beach. Only one suggestion: when it's really hot, few umbrellas outside would definitely help. There were none when I visit the location.

Amazing location and food. The service was fast and the staff were absolutely lovely so friendly nothing was too much trouble. We went for 2 meals there and our servers Diego and Martin (apologies if names not quite right) were brilliant and an asset to Harvester. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and what a breakfast it is here. Create your own full English breakfast that's unlimited. Great quality food at a reasonable price with excellent service from all the staff. A special mention for Diego, always smiling and so happy. Makes the dining experience even better.

I haven't been here for about 15 years and I really wish I had! The restaurant is clean and airy, the serving staff were attentive, polite and very welcoming. The kids really enjoyed the salad bar and had the most amazing dessert tray. The baby started to fuss towards the end but the staff got our bill quickly as we made a swift exit. We felt very catered to during the visit and will definitely return here.

Great food and the views out to sea are brilliant. If you get a nice sunset you could be anywhere in the world.

Visited here recently with the sunny weather. Sat outside and with the view of the beach felt like we were abroad! We both had a brekky, my partner got a full English and I had a sausage pattie with cheese. We both really enjoyed it. Staff helpful and friendly. A +++++

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and a drink after a long walk. The Guinness and G&T were refreshing, the food was okay and good value and the service was excellent. The outside seating area is great on a sunny day 👍

The food here was delicious. We have eaten at other harvesters, but this was by far the best. The views over the Irish sea are amazing, and the place is clean and tidy.

Absolutely amazing service from Diego, he went above and beyond from taking the drinks orders right through to giving us the bill. 4 meals ordered only one was disappointing, the rack of ribs.. not much flavour to them but otherwise everything else was lovely.

Booked a table for me and my wife who has ms and mobility issues and needed to be by the toilets, when we got here was told we couldn't sit by the toilets or sit in the pub area where its loud. So basically don't accommodate for disabled people. won't be going again.

With great intrepidation we've been to a harvester we booked a table had to wait a while to be seated the waiter took our order informed us that the chicken was being cooked OK fine we waited over an hour for what I think is their signature dish chicken and ribs combo the ribs were overdone the chicken was cooked fine had to complain to the manager about this who promptly took my meal off the bill I won't be tempted back to harvesters three times three times not so good

Birthday treat was late lunch/early tea at Derby Pool. Our very attentive server was Matt. Slow cooked bbq belly pork with mashed potatoes and ratatouille. And if that wasn't enough, we both opted for loaded onion rings with cheese sauce and chillies. Delicious. Excellent choice. How we had room for lemon drizzle ice cream, I don't know? Ah yes, pudding goes to a different stomach!! They even added a candle and sang happy birthday! Made a big girl very happy! Thank you x

Good pub with a fantastic view. We were immediately met by someone at the entrance and given a table for 6 which I was surprised at considering it was bank holiday I would have thought it would be a wait. Our server was Diego who was great waiting on us and entertaining the kids (including me) the only thing that let the place down was the food. Not that it was done incorrectly, it was just a bit plain.

LOOOONNNGGG WAIT FOR FOOD. Came here for an evening meal for 10 people. Sat down at the table we had reserved, which was 4 round tables pushed together which was awkward to sit at, could have done with square tables. The waitress took our order, then 50 minutes later came and asked if we'd been told about the 45 minute to 1 hour wait for food? No, you were the one that took our order and at no point mentioned this. It had taken 15 minutes to get glasses for the drinks. 1 hour 15 minutes it took for the food to come out. The food was hot, but the portion size for the price? Tiny. The photo of the meal I've had cost £14.49 for a small chicken breast, 1 slice of bacon, cheese and 3 chicken selects. And a small portion of chips. Which my missus said was better at the seahorse, hungry horse on the seafront. And cheaper. Would not recommend this place for food. The view from the beer garden is great, and plenty of people were watching the sunset from the bar. Only kept a couple of stars due to the staff being friendly enough, and dogs being allowed in

An unusually quiet night at the restaurant, but busy enough to be comfortable. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful. The menu choices we made were excellent and fresh. Our server was Alicia who was delightful. We look forward to our next visit.

The lady that was waiting on us .think her name was Wendy . She was very helpfull. I didn't feel very well and she said I can box up if you can't eat it. It's my favourite place to eat the staff are all polite and have a laugh with us. Food is amazing

Came here today for Breakfast, sat on the much improved terrace and enjoyed the view whilst having the Classic Breakfast. All the staff were very friendly, and efficient, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the flat whites and iced latte were perfect. Would definitely recommend this as a place to visit now.

A pleasant journey from Liverpool to ‘The Derby Pool’. The venue is in a brilliant location with parking and accessibility first rate. Not only were we made so welcome, even our dog couldn’t have been more welcome. The pace of the afternoon was excellent, the serving of the food, the refillable drinks, the salad bar and the portion of ice cream dessert couldn’t have been bigger. This was all made possible by Michelle, an Assistant Manager who looked after our every need. She certainly went the extra mile. She exceeded expectation in all she did. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Occasionally you get the opportunity to meet new and beautiful people who leave an impression on you. Today was one of those days. Thank you Harvester, but more to the point, thank you Michelle. You are a Star ⭐️

Absolutely awful experience. Took my 80 year old father for a meal. Both ordered a medium 10 oz sirloin steak. The steaks were both as tough as old boots. We were unable to eat them and left them. We explained to the waitress who went away and returned saying they had knocked one of the drinks off. Basically paid £45 for a small portion of chips and frozen peas each. Really wouldn't use this place again it was a disgrace. If you do be careful what you get and don't order the steaks. The front of house staff were very nice to be fair but the management should be ashamed of their customer satisfaction policy.

We last came here November last year and the service wasn't great then, but thought now it had been done up etc it would be nice to go to again. No cutlery turned up with the food, had to ask several times for it. Firstly incorrect starters arrived.. Asked for a plain cheese burger yet it turned up with all sorts on. Chicken ordered was rock solid. Many items missing from the 4 plates. When we queried it with the waiting staff they simply said "we've ran out of that, sorry". Random plates turning up to our table that were not for us. Attempted to bring dessert out while we were eating our main. The biggest attraction to this place is the view when the suns going down, would come again for a drink only and to watch the view but would not eat here again, 2 unsuccessful trips on the bounce. Credit where its due the staff member in charge was very apologetic, offered refunds/free drinks etc to make up for it, but not worth the hassle. For the price you pay of over £100 you would certainly expect a better service than this. The member of staff who took the order read it back to us and it was exactly right, so really really not sure how it would go so wrong from here. A great shame.

Me and my date had a lovely breakfast here and the service was amazing. Special mention to Diego who brought a smile to our faces and made sure everything was ok. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. The hot chocolates are a must try. Great view of the beach from our table. We will definitely be returning again.

I returned to the harvester after not visiting for about six months. My family and I were served by the wonderful Diego. He is a credit to your company. Such a welcoming, friendly man. Please pass on our thanks to him for giving us top class service. My children thought he was so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

Excellent, polite service. Easy free parking. Warm, comfortable, unhurried, welcoming. We only wanted coffee (we did not want alcohol or full meals), and should have liked some more snack food items. That is no way a complaint though! But had such a service been available we add should gladly have rated the venue at 5 stars.

Unremarkable food, very greasy. nice service and staff. Great location. But I doubt I’d return in a hurry. Prices reasonable. Disappointed that the salad bar has been spoilt by excessive covid rules

The service tonight was fantastic. What a nice bloke Diego is and he's the reason for 3 stars from 1. Food is over priced and actually not great. The only nice bit was the ice cream at the end.

Nice pub with great sea views. Been here a quite a few times and never been disappointed with the food or service. Staff are very friendly, but have to give a special shout out to Diego, who always makes us laugh and nothing is too much trouble for him. Nice one Diego!!

Great pub with a great selection on the menu. Staff all polite, very CV19 aware and following guidelines. Food is decent, all freshly prepared but our battered fish was full of oil. We'll most likely be back to try something else.
