This is one of the closest pubs to home but I haven't eaten here for years. Gave it a try on a sunny Tuesday evening and it was pretty good! The pub wasn't too busy but there were more people in than I expected on a Tuesday, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Our food was decent pub grub, cooked well and nicely presented. The real selling point, though, was the spectacular view across the Mersey to Liverpool as we ate. We'll definitely be back.

Always nice to go down to Egremont Ferry area. Although the pub is shut at the moment the area itself is great at low tide for families and kids to play on the sand, collecting nice shells maybe to paint at home. Plenty of seats near the pub but could always do with some more and a few more bins. The area is tidy and clean enough. Pleasant to just enjoy the fresh air and people watch and the view over the river. From the Ferry you can walk along the prom either to New Brighton and The Fort or Seacombe Ferry and its attractions.

The Ferry is a lovely establishment. There is a fantastic view over the Mersey and Liverpool waterline, which goes very well with their excellent food. It was well-priced and tasty whilst still being a decent portion size. We enjoyed a hunter's chicken, a rack of ribs, and a steak and ale pie. All the staff were very friendly and polite.

Lovely place, staff seem nice, disappointed with the food. Hunters chicken was dry, very little sauce, chips are dry. No sauces and condiments. Curry appeared nice. Cutlery needs to be in the serviette, not left exposed to people coughing etc. ? Short staffed, had to wait a hour for food, no explanation.

From the outside, the pub has external seating area, on decking and on path side. Tables are clean and feature umbrellas for wind/rain. Today was reasonable weather and we were. Party of 3 + 1 baby with buggy. We stayed for a round of drinks and an evening meal. The service was very good, the staff were all very pleasant, Friendly and attentive. The food was very good. With the share platter being well above par in my opinion. We sat inside, and there was a high chair for our grandson. And the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. A good pick for a refreshing drink and food after walking the promenade. Will be back again.

I absolutely loved visiting New Brighton and going to The Ferry for refreshments with my boyfriend and his brother and sister-in-law. The two men hadn't been there for many years having had grandparents that used to live there. The skyline was amazing across to Liverpool. I can't wait to go again. *just one point the ladies toilet downstairs only had one toilet and the gents had just a urinal!!* ⭐🤔

Always a pleasure to eat here .. nothing is ever too much wether it be an extra yorkie or gravy on a sunday .... the atmosphere is so relaxed music not banging enjoyable very eclettive . Large selection of puddings too from key lime pie to choc fudge cake...they accommodate kids too only 2 pound extra for ice cream and a drink ...on 5 pound roast ..nothing is mushy clean plates whenever we go xx views are stunning not commercialised and staff are fabulous a credit to the owner x

This was our first visit to this area. We read about the Ferry and decided to try it for ourselves. The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional value and very very tasty. I would go so far as to say The Garlic Mushrooms and The Hunters Chicken were the best we have had anywhere. The setting over looking the River Mersey enhanced the whole experience . Well done to all concerned with the running of this establishment. We will be back.

Popular pub with views of the river mersey. Usually quite busy especially on a sunny day. Serves up to 3 real ales but not always on. Plenty of drinks on draught so you'll find something to hit the spot. Serves a lot of food from the look of it on during occasions I've been in. Plenty of seating inside and out. Recommended for its handy location with good views. Handy stop off on bike ride or walk 🍻 🍲🚢🌞

A 20-minute walk from the Mersey ferry terminal, we found this lovely pub with proper homemade food over looking the water. There is plenty of seating available and very fast service! If you're visiting this area from the terminal, please consider walking along the front and popping in for a well-deserved drink!

Had veg spring rolls to start but they were too delicious and forgot to take a picture 😋 lasagne with garlic bread was also delicious, highly recommended. Do book ahead, we were lucky to get a table as there were lots of groups with reservations.

Went here for Fathers Day (2023) with my wife and son. Food was superb and quantity was amazing. You defiantly do not leave feeling empty. Lovely views across the Mersey to Liverpool.

First time visiting and will definitely return. Sat upstairs and the view is spectacular. Food was lovely, home cooking at its best. I had the steak and ale pie with mash, it was so big I couldn't finish it,my friend had the trio of sausages with mash and they were delicious. Great value for money next visit I will go for lunch.

Nice views of the Liverpool Water front, not the best fish and chips I have ever had but ok, would order off the full menu at £11 as the lunch menu option of £7.50 not upto much, next to no fish...

Walked here from the Travelodge in New Brighton, stopped for a couple of drinks before making the return journey. When you first walk in looks like a proper old fashioned pub, there are what look like newer additions to the side where people were eating. The barmaid serving us was nice and polite. There is more seating outside which is where we went and enjoyed the views of the Mersey. The toilets are tiny, not even joking on that one. They seemed physically clean enough but still stank of wee.

Shabby service. Arrived at 6.30 to have a meal, given a table and eventually someone came and said ' kitchen is on hold' wtaf! Waited another half hour and went and asked if we can order. Your waitresses were tripping over each other. But no orders . Still kitchen on hold. Well sorry but your either open or not. In this case you should have just closed your doors rather than waste of time. We've had long days at work and just want a quiet meal and a drink.

Lovely pub very clean with plenty of character, staff are great, only gripe was the food dishes came from the kitchen incredibly salty, and we weren't able to eat it but all in all its was quite enjoyable

We went in after a lovely walk where we had every season. The fog had rolled in and the kids were cold. Fabulous hot chocolate and a really friendly welcome. We only had bowls of chips to eat so can’t judge the food, but they were quick, hot and tasty. We will definitely go back.

Nice pub with beautiful views across the Mersey. Room upstairs has glass windows all round allowing you to enjoy the views and the sunshine while eating or drinking. We only popped in for a drink, but there were others there eating and the food looked and smelt amazing. Will definitely go back for a meal on the future.

Only stopped for a coffee on a walk from Seacombe to New Brighton but hubby reckoned it was the nicest coffee he's had in a long time..I was impressed with the cleanliness of the ferry and we going to have a meal there next time we do the walk..

Excellent Christmas lunch, quality far exceeding expectations for the reasonable cost. All staff were very polite and attentive, without overwhelming you. Will definitely try other meals at this venue.

Lovely corner pub, orderd the fish and chips and got free willy served to me which was amazing. Huge portion of fish and the batter was crispy and light. The fish was so fresh hands down the freshest fish around. Pints of Estrella on tap as well 👌the staff were very friendly and nice cozy atmosphere.

Lovely home cooked food with excellent staff. Very friendly and welcoming. One for the future, when visiting Liverpool for concerts. Get the ferry across n walk to lunch before concert.

Stopped for lunch after a cycle ride. Food ordered at bar and was quickly brought to our table outside. Great food, plentiful, fab hot chips. Lovely staff.

Dropped in a few times recently for a pint. Each time I chose to sit outside. I was served at a freshly cleaned table by polite helpful staff who promptly brought what I’d ordered. Haven’t tried the food but others eating outside appeared to be more than happy and the portions seemed appealing and generous. Will eat some day. As for now lovely lagers 🍺

Good food and the staff were fantastic. We went on a Sunday and the burger on the Sunday menu is a bit plain (burger and bun, no salad, sauce or even cheese). Not the pubs fault, my own fault for not requesting anything but something to bear in mind if visiting on a Sunday. Great views, atmosphere and drinks. We will be back!
