Positives: Service was adequate - man showed me too my room and was polite and friendly. The bathroom I used was clean. (It is shared but I knew that at time of booking) Negatives: The room was not clean - floor dirty with hairs on floor. I don't think it had been vacuumed in a while. Sheets had been washed but had some stains. Bed not comfortable. The doors are very thin and you can hear what is going on in other rooms - conversations and other night time activities.... The curtains do not block out the light so in the morning the room was bright Overall I would not stay here again and would pay more to avoid doing so.

Good night stay at a strategic location. It is not far from Wallasey Village station, Co-op and many other shops around. It is above a pub so can be a bit loud until 1 am. If you are going out at night it should be good. There's coffee and tea in the room so it is a nice touch. The communal bathroom is clean and well looked after so no complaints. The sheets and towels are clean too. However the mattress does need changing as I felt like sleeping on arrays of spring. Otherwise it was a good sleep in a clean room that gets bright early.

Nipped in for a quick week night bite and really enjoyed the experience. The barman was so amazingly friendly and the food was tasty. Would definitely go back, just wish I'd visited sooner

A very nice pub-hotel for the price paid. The staff were lovely, the room was very nice, but it was just a little too noisy for me I'm afraid. The room accommodation sits above the actual pub / restaurant area, so I guess that this could not be really helped. I had to leave a little earlier than planned, but the pub-hotel is in an excellent location, with great cafes and shops, and a Co-op Supermarket nearby. Just bring some ear-plugs! Thanks. :)

Much improved from years ago. My only gripe was that there was no dark tales, only Lagers and Ruby beers.....Plenty of Gin and Cocktails, but unfortunately, I don't like them, hence 4 stars!

When we arrived at the hotel, a wonderful lady welcomed us, she was very friendly and helpful, everything was great until she left. There was a young girl who kept saying "you're alright" with her disturbing looks. It made me happy with an incredible Halloween decoration. She deserves 5 points just for that blonde lady's sake

When i arrived, there are signs in the carpark stating you have to pay for the parking. I went into the pub and if you are having a meal, drink or staying then there is a tablet on the bar to input your car registration so you don't have to pay the car park charge Visited last weekend for a meal with friends All the staff are very friendly, engaging and good craic. The food was good, plenty on the plate and served hot, prices for meals and a pudding are very reasonable. The biscoff cheesecake was 👍 Three choices of plate sizes, small, medium and large, ideal for people with any appetite.

Rooms basic but comfortable. Bathroom facilities very poor. Lights not working. Dated and dirty. Staff friendly. For cheap price I'd say its OK

    · Very unclean. Sugar wrappers left on floor, one cup in a double room, bin not emptied, had to ask for toilet roll, never supplied in both shared bathrooms. What looked like coffee stains on the bedding which was surprising as there was only sugar supplied in the roomNo lighting in corridore, even worse was no lighting on stairs causing my disabled wife to fall on the little step in the hallway half way up the stairs. Shared shower looked like it hasn't been cleaned for weeks. So much so we didn't bother using it, instead opting for a good wash until we got home. Don't book for a Sunday if you want to sleep before midnight. Whilst we love a good Drum and Bass night theres a time and a place, especially without warning. We were probably in the room furthest from the bar but we still felt like we were at a music festival with our window directly over the beer garden. Once the music did stop every time i opened the door to use the toilet i probably woke the whole corridor with the noise our door made. Didn't see one cleaner in 2 days. The smell of cannabis whenever using the back entrance could only have been from the back door of the kitchen. The lady who booked us in was very pleasant but what little remaining staff there was didn't look like they wanted to be there, not surprising really, we certainly didn't.

Staff were very friendly and let us check in early. Only downside was there was no signs at all about food not being served and menus were still up. No verbal communication about it at all. Maybe next time if there is no food service take down the menus and tell people. Beds not the best comfort but everything was clean.

Booked a room for a few days as working in the area. Left Plymouth at 10am to get in for about half 4 as I had 7pm night shift. Unfortunately traffic was horrendous so had to go straight to work. My wife messaged Sheridans to make them aware that I would make it after shift at 7am. No arrangement for me to pick up a key but my wife received a message that there would be no one around until noon and no reply as to any other arrangement that could be made. 9 hours drive 🚗 12 hours shift👮‍♂️ 5 hours wait in the car🚘 Yes I could try sleep in the car which still has to be unliadwd shower ..clean uniform to sor..and then leave at 5 to start at 7. Not funny. Will I get my night back❓️ I doubt it in this day and age If I do...I will retract all I have said.

Well located pub in Wallasey Village. I went on Friday at 5.45pm and there was probably around 30 people in the pub, so hard to gauge what the atmosphere would be like later in the evening. Madri was £5/pint, which is probably a little on the expensive side for Wallasey. I didn't eat there or stay in the hotel, so can't comment on either. The place hasn't been decorated for a long time and could really do with a refurb. The staff were very friendly.

I and my friend have liked to come for tea here quite often but our visit this evening left us feeling as though we were a nuisance I ordered the pie and always ask for my gravy separately it came with the gravy all over , the veg was soggy I just couldn’t eat it I felt like a real nuisance but my friend asked for me she apologised but felt she couldn’t say that her meal was smothered with gravy and her Yorkshire was soggy nobody came back to check we were ok we left not feeling great we don’t feel we will go back ! I have been in the hospitality industry and would not make my customers feel the way the waitress did even if she wasn’t happy she should not have let us see that very unprofessional and made us just want to leave !!

Went to my niece's 18th birthday party here. Lovely attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Generous parking facilities. Toilets were clean, as was the establishment as a whole. The staff were very helpful with the setting up of the food and balloons.

DO NOT ASK THE BARMAID A QUESTION ITS SIMPLY TOO MUCH! Having her speak to you like quiet frankly like s*** on her shoe in front of your children!!! After asking if the vegetarian combo is suitable for vegetarians. The idea that I needed to know if meat was cooked in the same fryer was clearly not something I should be asking her and telling me to knock on the chefs door as its not a question for her. Dietary requirements CLEARLY not a thing here!!! AVOID unless being spoken to in such an unacceptable manner is your thing!

The room was a good size with 4 beds. After settling in, it became very cold there were a gale blowing under the door the bathroom window did not close properly and there were no latch to close it. The bathroom was an ice box. The plug sockets were loose on the wall, also there was a gangway right next to the kettle with exposed flex not good at all. On speaking with the staff about the cold and needing the heating on they said if we do that all the heating comes on in the whole place which we later found out not to be true. They could have just put the hotel rooms heating on. Potentially a nice place to stay, but let down by the things I have mentioned. I would not stay again unless I want a cold.

A gem for the price. Owner helped us tremendously by letting us do an early check-in, it has a nearby train station to Liverpool, a supermarket and a bar with food. Great place?

We go to Sheridan's most Wednesdays for a midweek roast and booked a mother's day meal for today. The food was as beautiful as always and it's the little touches from Su and the team that always make your visit worthwhile! 3 courses for £14.95 with a free glass of fizz for every mum and also a free cupcake at the end of the meal. Great value for money.

Went in for lunch during the week. Had a the Pesto Pasta and it was amazing. Got to say I also enjoyed the pint of Guinness I had as well. The staff were very polite and the service was wonderful. 5 stars

Had a great meal in there the first time I went, staff we friendly and attentive. Decided to go back for a Sunday roast so booked a table. It took nearly an hour to get our food from ordering, staff weren't as attentive, they were more interested in chatting to each other, food wasn't as good... Must say I was disappointed on my return. Based on my first visit I give it 3* or it would have been 1*

Went for a meal for my birthday last night with family. The staff were amazing. Catered for my nan in her wheelchair. The place is immaculate and Covid rules all adhered to. Can not recommend this place enough. The food was absolutely beautiful. Thank you from us all.

👍 This is one of the closest pubs to home but I haven't eaten here for years. Gave it a try on a sunny Tuesday evening and it was pretty good! The pub wasn't too busy but there were more people in than I expected on a Tuesday, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and helpful....

👍👍 Had to downgrade our review unfortunately. Went back tonight for the steak night. The food was tasty but we were asked how we wanted the steaks cooked, we both asked for medium rare however I would say they were well done and quite dry. I could have complained but they were edible. If the chef can't...
