Not a bad little pub, pretty busy while keeping to all the lock down rules, not the greatest selection of beers but it cheep and cheerful and the locals are friendly and a god laugh

Me and a friend went here just us 2 and we were told by a woman in her 30s(?) that we werent welcome and that we had to leave. There were customers there already. We are late 20s women. We hadnt even ordered a drink. We werent drunk or anything. Literally had just walked in. This is the first time and last time this ever happened to me at any venue. Very strange.

R first stop before going to the floral pavilion for an 80s night .wow what an experience. We have never been this pub before. Staff were so lovely everyone so friendly made so welcome .the regulars were so chatty so kind. It was a lovely Saturday afternoon we sat outside .every time we are going the floral that will be were we head for ..big thank you

Great little locals bar in Victoria Quarter. Fiercely independent and importantly, an original local trader. Along with The Bow Legged Beagle, they serve their clientele well...

Great little community pub. Cheap ale and a great atmosphere. Staff all really friendly. Couple of smaller rooms at the end of the long, main bar area. Late license sees it open until very late at the weekend.

Proper old school community pub. Decent range of beers at very reasonable (cheap!) prices. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere.

Was refused sparkling water by a woman behind the bar and accused of pouring my own alcohol in it! I wanted a sparkling water as I felt drunk and wanted to pace myself but got a barrel of abuse on asking. Terrible behaviour… imagine an alcoholic going out and getting refused a soft drink! I was not pouring my own drinks and neither was anyone I was with! I am not a youngster either! Not that that should matter. I did send a complaint to the pub via Facebook but it was ignored! When I asked for the manager at the time of the incident I was told they are not here.

Lovely and friendly, this old fashioned boozer is always a delight. Great prices, nicely kept beers and great music make this a venue to return to again and again.
