Food choice and quality has gone down whilst price has gone up. Lovely pub but customer clearly paying for the refurb! Would return but not to eat

Staff are friendly, lovely atmosphere but ve prepared to remortgage if you want more than 2 lemonades. Very expensive, especially for the area.

Lovely new decor.. A lot lighter and brighter, good selection of beers... Friendly staff.

Decent beer in one of Wallasey's finest pubs. Great beer garden too. **Update. Now sells coldflow stuff and next to nil real ale. One star deducted accordingly. Sad, because it used to be a fine pub.

Popped in for a pint after a long time away. A pint of London Pride hit the spot. Refurbished since my last visit, for the better definitely.

Good job not in a rush. Took ages to get served, and we booked. Cold meal when it arrived. Not impressed for the price, what a waste of money. The chef needs to know my comments. Won't be back. Will go to the piglet boat instead. Hot food. I've put one star not worth it

Decent pub, with good outside space. Could do with a better selection of beers. Would like to see some craft IPAs, rather than mass produced lagers.

Bar maid was rude and unhelpful made me an my friends feel uncomfortable the minute we stepped through the door As if we were there to cause trouble, apparently if you wear a tracksuit to the pub on a Sunday you’re a drug dealer …. We asked to order a some chips at 5pm And was told food was off the kitchen staff continued to serve food till 6 as that was the time Stated on the board. Good customer service and a smile Cost nothing.

Friendly service and a nice pint. Does food too. Shows the sports. Large outside area with screens. Matter of taste but they have modernised the bar. I prefer the older style but that's just me and good luck to them if that what the patrons want as I only popped in for one.

Nice pub. Great venue for the football. Only thing that stops a five star review is the selection of bitters. Needs more real ale

Great pub. Excellent beers, lovely selection of gins, great staff. Lovely beer garden. But I don't recommend the food. Overpriced for cheaper ingredients. Not terrible if it wasn't restaurant prices

Love this place, been going there for years on & off, currently it's brilliant, few not so local accent now days, nice mature clients, no kids unless they are pre-booked for dinning big plus, staff so helpful.

Immediately on entering it looked, felt, and smelt cleaner than most high-end restaurants, even with a few dogs in the bar area. The staff and few regulars were lovely, friendly, and welcoming, pointing out every section and how it had changed since my last visit pre-COVID. The whole pub has been refurbished, and looks and feels like it deserves to be the go-to for Mount Pleasant and Telegraph Road area. Now with an outside TV ready for the warmer weather, and tentative talks that music nights might be on the cards again.... Couldn't give a full five stars because we didn't try any food, and it wouldn't be fair to review something without knowing. However, I've heard the new management will be hiring a chef soon, so fingers crossed. Might be interesting to see some memorabilia or ephemera relating to the telegraph stations that relayed from Anglesey, if the brewery permit and if any local sources are feeling generous. Flags for music nights, quizzes, sports, etc to replace the previous nautical knick-nacks would be incredibly unique.

We love this pub the staff are so friendly and food is good to. It's a lovely cosy and warm place, and the best thing about it no kids running around. Don't get me wrong i have grown up kids, it's just so nice to have an adult time.

👍 This is one of the closest pubs to home but I haven't eaten here for years. Gave it a try on a sunny Tuesday evening and it was pretty good! The pub wasn't too busy but there were more people in than I expected on a Tuesday, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and helpful....

👍👍 Had to downgrade our review unfortunately. Went back tonight for the steak night. The food was tasty but we were asked how we wanted the steaks cooked, we both asked for medium rare however I would say they were well done and quite dry. I could have complained but they were edible. If the chef can't...
