Hadn't been to Yiamas in years before last night. Three of us went, had a great time, and left with very full bellies. Strongly recommend the yiamas platter if someone is willing to share. £20, and you get a bit of everything. No, a LOT of everything. Hard to pick what was best, as everything was good. The chicken kebab skewers are unreal though. Service quick and friendly. Parking may be right if you're in a bit car, but we weren't and it was fine. We will be back!

Today was the first time we have visited Yiamas and it was absolutely amazing! I've been desperate to find a Greek restaurant that serves real Greek food and this was perfect! The staff were unbelievable and food out of this world. It was my birthday and they made me feel very special. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We're already planning our next trip. Had a lovely night here, staff very friendly and great sense of humour as i walked in expressing myself a bit loudly because scratched my car parking lol, the staff laughed with me thank god. Meal was lovely and they didn't rush us to order like some places constantly ask are you ready to order. It was just really relaxed and very clean too. Definitely recommend 👌

This place is just wonderful, the staff are amazing and the food is more than excellent, we come when we can and it never disappoints would highly reccomend to everyone .. We had the moussaka and chicken kebab with starters and we was so happy with everything we ordered The staff are so welcoming and always have a smile on their face and are really nice Xxxx

Have been coming here for many years now as the place is fantastic. I went through a stage of eating here almost weekly as the food is so good. The only downside to this restaurant is that my favourite meal to order from here is so nice that I never order anything different. Which is the skorto stumbi. However all the food here is honestly to die for everything I have tasted has been incredible. If you have never experienced this restaurant you are missing out. Picture shows my starters which is grilled king prawns aka garidas skaras and also wine sausage. Aswell as skorto stumbi and roast potatoes

Visit 5 to Yiamas. One of the few Greek restaurants in Birkenhead that is unquestionably worthy of 5 stars. This visit consisted of a Taramasalata for starters and Kotopoulo Scordato for mains. The service is always very friendly, with the owner involved, looking after all customers. The atmosphere is relaxing and definitely has a Greek style with Greek music in the background. Just a consistantly great place to dine overall, serving brilliant food. Compliments to all staff.

Great value for money, we came in starving, ordered a platter for 2 and still couldn’t finish it all. The service was excellent and the owner was very friendly and welcoming.

What a hidden gem the Yiamas is! You step inside and feel like you’ve been transported to Cyprus! The staff are so friendly, amazing with recommendations and really look after you. My chicken kebab was juicy & tender and the lemon potatoes are to die for! All food was fresh, tasty and portion sizes were huge. There were clean plates all round and we all absolutely loved it. Ive been recommending you to everyone and will be back again soon!

I have to say the atmosphere, service and food are all a 10 out of 10 . I used to go eat here regularly as teen with my family, however Havnt been for 6+ years I went for a 3 course meal tonight ( end of august ) & I already can’t wait to go back. Food is very presentable generous sizes & tastes so so good. Service is brilliant - from my experience , very well mannered younger guy & a very funny & chatty older guy! Who was So hilariously sweet. Atmosphere is very nice too , nice calming music playing & people enjoying themselves .

Portion sizes are great, food tastes amazing and the staff are super friendly. If you have any requirements they are more than happy to swap and accommodate. This is a local favourite where I will keep going back as food is consistently yummy!!

We visited here again after nearly two years without due to the pandemic. Happy to report that the food is still just as good, service was extremely quick and the atmosphere was close and homely as always.

Great food and atmosphere, we had a really lovely dinner. If in the area and looking for some great food cooked Cyprus style pop in or book a table better to be sure.

Wow, the food in here was absolutely gorgeous,staff so friendly, wasn't waiting long for food everything cooked perfectly really cosy atmosphere as a small place but didn't feel overcrowded will definitely be visiting again soon! Only thing I would say is parking isn't that great but wouldn't put me off coming again.

We recently visited this restaurant but was very disappointed. The food is very basic and had no taste to it whatsoever. I have travelled over most of the Greek islands so I have developed a pallet for Greek cuisine this was poor. The staff were very nice and attentive though. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Ate here on christmas eve with our family. Although it was christmas eve they still allowed to choose for the set early bird menu which was excellent value for money. Been here a few times always had great food and service.

I called to make a telephone order for collection at 9:30 (Google hours state they close at 10pm). I was then informed it would not be possible as they were closed. this needs to be made clear if you close at 9:30...update your opening hours. I was asked when I called ahead of the other was for this evening, to be told we have closed. HOWEVER, advertised opening hours are different. very poor communication. misleading information The opening hours need to be updated if this is the case.

We had take away for 15 people yesterday, food cooked to perfection, plenty of it and ample side dishes for everyone. Order was ready for collection at the time requested. This was for my 60th birthday and everyone was really impressed. Well done and thanks yiamas

We made a last minute booking on a Tuesday and loved our meal here. The service is really good and friendly. The menu has lots to offer and our food was delicious. From the road we weren’t expecting it to feel so nice and welcoming inside. We will definitely be going back.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food served by friendly staff. A little slice of the Mediterranean on The Wirral, it feels like I'm on holiday every time I come here. Also great for vegans with a great main dish option of stuffed peppers you don't find in most Greek restaurants.

Fabulous. Had the sharing platter for 2 and so much food we brought home a doggie bag. Lovely freshly cooked meal, great service and nice to see lots of people out dining on a Tuesday night taking advantage of the early dining 2 courses for less than £13. Great value

Met with friends for a meal at Yiamas, the menu was extensive with a good variety of meat and veggie dishes to chose from. Staff both friendly and welcoming. The food was tasty, plenty of it. We selected dishes from the early doors and larger menu. Situated in Birkenhead on Borough Rd, parking nearby and within easy walking distance.

Absolutely beautiful food! Everything was so fresh, tasty and the portion sizes were huge! We had never been before but we went to celebrate a special birthday last night. The staff could not do enough for you! They were so friendly, energetic, helpful and modest when we praised them. Everything was spectacular and we will 100% be returning. Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed our visit here, we had the meze, it was very good and loads of it, so much we ended up taking some home with us. Will definitely visit next time we are in the area

Delicious food, massive portions , great friendly staff

This was my first visit. Went with friends for xmas get together. Amazing food. Moussaka was the nicest I've ever had. Great service. Can't wait to go back. We were really well looked after. X

We visited yesterday an as always you are treated really well for the entire visit and he made an extra effort to make sure the restaurant was really warm with the weather being so cold. Food is amazing for adults and kids. Greek salad is outstanding. Kids portion size is also really good too. Great place

Was quite noisy on arrival. Some girls voices really piercingly loud, laughing and talking over each other. Think a little too much drink may have been the cause. When they left it was lovely. There was still talk and laughter but on an acceptable level plus, you could hear the music. Food was delicious and hot, good wine and well priced. 3 starters, 4 mains, a bottle of wine, 2 lemonades £88. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
